The perfect special for Love in the Air
This is a 70 minute special which looks at both Love Sky and Love Storm stories and brings them together. I was skeptical after the previous Don't Say No and Tharntype specials but this one was well done. It was the right balance of sexy, funny, a commentary on LGBTQ+ laws etc. I would boldly say it was a perfect special. And we didn't have any of the sometimes problematic MAME tropes so, winning!Rain and Sky, classmates compare notes on their relationships and find themselves questioning certain things. They decide to go away to the beach (which Thai BL would be complete without a beach trip? Come On!) and not think or talk about their significant others. It doesn't go quite as they planned however...
This was a decent episode as we had new NC scenes and the usual misunderstandings that happen with new relationships from jealousy and friends / exes stirring trouble. It also opened the door for new stories such as Payu's boss and Pai's brother Plerng so there is more from this universe still to come.
Definitely worth a watch as it gives us the perfect closure on this story. Some may find Rain and Sky a little immature at times but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they're still students. Lovely to see Payu and Pai giving stellar performances here.
And there will be scenes you revisit. Trust me.
Enjoy!

Gritty short BL from Hong Kong - stick with it
This was short (1(named zero or 0) +5 episodes and most 14 minutes long) about 2 M/M relationships told through a straight couple.Hayden and Damien
Kelvin and Archie
I don't want to give too much away but there's dealing with grief, sexual non consent, being closeted etc all in these 6 episodes. the subject matters are heavy but the ending is hopeful so definitely worth the watch.
Grandma is my favourite character . The other female character my least favourite
I would have loved to have known what the post-it notes said but we can infer eventually
Definitely better as a binge watch as it takes a while to realise what's going on especially with the second couple. A treat in the last episode where we hear music used in a few BLs . Very cute. Can you spot where else it's been used ?
Enjoy!

Triple the fun in Love Class 2
Initially I was expecting this to be a continuation of LC 1 with the same cast - it didn't happen. The concept of a Love Class at University continues but this time there are 2 other couples.Three Couples
Friends to Lovers - the funny one
Teachers Assistant and Student - the frustrating / lack of communication one
Old Crush hurt / comfort - the darker one
All 3 stories are engaging and worth watching to see how they end. I switched favourites week to week
The kisses vary from hot and steamy to mannequin idol kisses so be warned !
This is definitely worthy of a binge watch. It is confusing in places and it would have benefitted from more interwoven interactions between the 3 couples throughout the series.
Didn't really notice the OST so can't comment. Casting and acting were generally good. I've rewatched bits already.
Can't wait for season 3
Enjoy!

Love on Lo - feels like a very looooong advert or music video
Ok so reading the synopsis suggested it was more BL than it was. You have two guys staying at a 2 bed resort and one loses his keys and has to share with the other on NYE.This is a 2 episode series with very little happening. I left thinking maybe they were advertising one of the following
1. Lo
2. The photo /video app on the phone
3. The OST??
4. New Years Eve
I really don't know. The one thing is that the beach IS beautiful and if you can ignore the staff at the resort it's not a complete waste of time but, it either needed to be longer or have more of a point .
I'd skip this one as it feels more like a pilot for something or an advert

No more feeling blue
Ok so we were all a little disappointed by the abrupt ending to the first part of this KBL. So it needed this one to tie up lose ends. It's definitely worth watching part 1 first as you see a different side to both characters as well as some immaturity and growth. The episodes are short (8 minutes with the last being 15 mins) and there are extra scenes available to members which week. IF you watched in real time then you would assume some things about the main couple which aren't necessarily true.
Overall the chemistry is amazing. The dilemma faced by one of them interesting and their dialogue was well written
I would recommend as a binge watch to avoid the weekly angst Jaemin caused us all. You're left feeling less blue than you did at the end of part 1 and that's good enough for me.
Oh! OST was good on this one and helped give depth to a very short series. Would like to see more from this couple as well as from this production company
Enjoy

Fewer semantic errors as words really do matter
For those who haven't seen the series it's a KBL, enemies to lovers trope as one student is unable to graduate when the other doesn't put his name on a group project. He seeks revenge and ...I wasn't expecting much from the movie as I'd watched the drama repeatedly but it surpassed expectations. I have to say that, similarly to 'We Best Love' Special Edition, the translation of the dialogues, additional dialogue and the slight changes made a real difference to the flow of the movie and our understanding of both the main and side characters. You actually see how they become their ending more acutely than in the drama. Translations and words really do matter! I think the series suffered from week to week translations so some weren't as accurate but to be fair to the viki volunteers, this also did have more dialogue.
There are a few new moments (I'd hardly call them scenes) as well to give the movie richness
It isn't quite the same as Life: Love on the life (Directors Cut) which had an additional scene from the Manga but as the manhwa for Semantic Error is still ongoing they haven't given us any closure which is great. we are all dying for a second season
Well worth the nearly 3 hours of watching this. Highly recommended

The movie (roof)tops the series
So I loved the series but the movie is better as it doesn't break as much and have as much of the game element. Plus you are blessed with more of the context so how they were back in school and their feelings. I felt so much more like I was seeing the why for a lot of what they did instead of being confusedThe acting is top notch and I've rewatched the series MANY times but think, like Semantic Error I'll switch to the movie for rewatch. You feel the chemistry, shyness and emotion between the two actors and it really is all about them. No side couples to distract which is good as it's so short. The movie is nearly 2 hours though.
Highly recommended and one of the top 5 KBLs to come out in 2023.
Enjoy

Sing it loud for another cute Korean BL
First of all I'd like to thank the team for dropping all 8 episodes of this on the same day instead of giving us the week to week angst we've had to suffer with Our Dating Sim and The Eighth Sense. Kamsahamnida!Second we continue with the school friends to now adults theme of 2023 and we are here for it all. Good to see grown up stories being done without the toxicity.Yes this is a walking green flag BL. This is a light watch and an easy watch which is just what we need right now. It's got shades of Love Tractor and Im Hantae is adorable and silly. The female characters are also great which is always nice to see, especially the mum. There's some angst of course and some evil idol stuff that we have to navigate. They really did this well included OTT fans!
The Songs are good and the storyline with the idol / music industry backdrop work well
Will add more later but lots of you haven't seen it and I don't want to spoiler it but I defy you not to fall for Ba Ram and Han Tae
Enjoy!

Great acting albeit with a clichd soapie plot
I was excited to watch this as I like both the main leads from different dramas (especially FF from History2 a BL)Trigger Warnings: Suicide, Abortion
What they did well:
- Casting - top notch. You were behind the MC and really hated the others
- OST - sweet
- Kissing scenes - both Puff and FF are expert kissers
- I found myself wanting to watch the next episode
- The food porn - I was craving cake by the end of it.
What wasn't so good:
- The plot is ok but there are so many coincidences you would think it was based in a village not a city. Like there are literally only 4 families in this whole show
- The majority of the women are really unlikeable. From the mums to the 2nd FL to the sister Xia Anni they were problematic.
- Stalking seems to be normalised behaviour. No means No
- They resolved some issues quickly such as trauma and others were left with holes (e.g. the debt). Maybe they're saving it for the last 2 episodes but I doubt they could fill that many.
* 1 thing I didn't like is that the villains were noticeably darker skinned, highlighting a continued issue with the Asian media.
Overall a decent binge watch over the weekend and if you like that soapie style then definitely worthy of a watch.
I'll come back after the ending but that's it for now. Enjoy!
Post ep 24: Nothing to add except the mum stuff was resolved a little too easily. There was a lot of emotion at the end and it was well acted. The OST did the mOST with the paino and string instruments but, at this stage I would expect nothing less. I'm just glad they didn't give us amnesia in the last episode as with all of the cliches it could have gone there.

Bittersweet Bad Guy
4 episodes doesn't feel like enough but at least with this series we weren't left hanging. Blue Boys ended up being in 2 parts and whilst there isn't a need for a 2nd part to this I could see them resolving the aftermath of Tae Ha's decision. You feel like you spend a lot of the 4 episodes not liking one of the leads and again, if you watch Blue Boys you may feel that even more.
Overall the acting was great and the story, whilst uncomfortable, well told
Enjoy!

Storyline is string thin but watch for the comedy value
I was brought to this as a We Best Love (a BL) fan so needed to watch for the MLOk I think you need to approach this with a certain attitude. It's a comedy with a little drama as opposed to an original story or deep plot . It centres around couples where there is an obvious societal difference or value which they each have to work through.
There are 4 couples. The main 3 couples and 1 side. No spoilers so I won't say who gets with whom. One of the couples has a sexy ML and another couple give the most comedic laughs throughout.
There's the obvious family relationships, some good, some bad and some really annoying. Obligatory evil characters are thrown in for good measure.
Still watching so will update accordingly but with 3 episodes to go I am struggling with the FL . Her facial expressions and views just grate. Let's hope she bucks up.
Ok so I'm finished and the ending felt a bit rushed as it neatly wrapped up each couple's story and the parental issues in ep 24. Felt like it could have done with one more episode
It's a sweet cupcake kinda watch and I think forgettable so rewatch is low
Enjoy

Tame and Traditional ending
So this was basically the missing ep 8 that the series needed as closure. We see the couple 2 years later on a trip to Chiang Mai where Lom has a secret plan and everyone is on it but Namnuea. Even the GL couple make an appearance which is nice to see that they're still together after two years.
For those wondering there is no guest appearance from the LITA boys - I know, I was disappointed too. It's also more sweet than hot and heavy. Really out of the honeymoon phase I guess
What is nice is that you see some of the local customs and traditions around Thai ceremonies which isn't seen in other BLs . I still think Marine and Nuea could work on their acting at times but it's better than early on in the series
Would I pay to watch this? No. Is it worth a watch, yes if you are wanting more of the MC. Is there rewatch value? Not really. But, I'm happy we were able to see the ending as often times we don't get to see it.
Enjoy !

a 16 part drama turned into rushed 12 part drama with bits of comedy
I was into Bad Prosecutor initially as it was a comedy. Then we had 2 episodes of backstory which was kind of heavy. Then we were told it was no longer 16 episodes but instead only going to be 16.It then felt rushed and you could see that the pace had changed. The last episode wrapped things up neatly and ended on a comedic note.
The story line and the acting were great which saved this series.
I don't see the re-watch value for this but there are some funny moments and the bones of the story are solid. Just a shame that behind the scenes or post production decisions robbed us of 4 episodes

Strongberry does it again and we definitely needed an 11th episode
This is a short BL about a man who loses a pet cat and dog when he was younger and they come back into his life as humans. Strongberry are masters at short storytelling and this is them at their best with a great OST and great looking actors to boot. But this is a story about loneliness, grief and letting go. It's beautifully told in just a few locations and is a different kind of unconditional fantasy love story that is well told.
I don't want to give too much of the story away but episode 11 is much needed to give this story closure so don't stop too early.
The acting of both Choco and Milk as the pets was so on point that you really understood the difference between cat and dog.

JGL with JBL energy but with great pace
So for those of you who love a silly, funny type JBL this is for you. You've got the energy / ridiculousness of Japanese BLs with the overthinking and misunderstanding but, so far, it's not dragging. The pace is really good and you're seeing the characters reveal more of themselves with each episode (no pun intended)
This is definitely great if you like silly Japanese shows where everyone gasps incredulously and acts over the top.
so far I'm hooked and it's refreshing to see a GL done so well
There is a dip in eps 6 and 7 so for some it may be worth bingeing through . The finale saves it
