great modern day fantasy romcom!
This is pretty much a chill romcom with gumiho's in present time. The storyline was pretty good and I really enjoyed the chemistry of the whole cast.I love Jang Kiyong and he always shows great acting aside from his good looks. I'm not a big fan of Lee Hyeri's acting but she did pretty good in this series; mainly because it was a comedy filled series. I also loved Kang Hanna, she's literally so hilarious! Her character's relationship with Jaejin was just so cute too!
I watched this back in 2021 so I can't fully remember the details but overall, I enjoyed the series!

ugh disappointing
first do not compare to their previous drama and second do not watch right after lolexcuse me but wasn't this written by the same author as their previous drama they started in together?
so in a span of two years did the writer just get dumb or something cause i can't with this drama anymore...
Obviously this drama should not be compared to their previous project but this drama is just way more lower quality in writing then before it's so annoying.
First the Fu Rong is such a weak character...like we know the actress can play a strong witty smart character so why is she stuck playing this type of cliche female character??? it doesn't really make sense tbh
Also I love the second lead but like why did we get more FLxSML scenes than the FLxML??? Also why does he have to be the villain? lol they had no other characters for the villain so he was selected???
Not to hate but the actress who plays the princess is also super annoying and not cute at all lol they need to fix her make up...
The only pros are the second lead tbh; they're so cute! and they definitely look better together in this series than separately in the previous project.
11/28/23 Update - Dropped the series two times and came back to watch the last episode, which was very dramatic. Overall Legend of YunXi is way better!!!

Cutest Warm-heartening Movie
Storyline/Plot: The storyline is quite typical and cliché but they do it so well. The FL is your typical pampered, spoiled, rich, naïve girl. She dreams of her prince charming coming to sweep her off her feet. And the ML is well essentially normal- he's poor and has family trauma. The movie moves pretty fast because the wedding happened and tbh I thought it was all in the FL's head but turns out they really had a shotgun wedding. It was quite funny to see them become poor overnight and I did not expect that to happen.
In the beginning, watching the naïve FL navigate through her new life was pretty annoying but she definitely surprised me because she didn't give up or run to her parents; she was actually the opposite and I loved that about her- she became more likable.
With the ML, he also surprised me too because I thought he was going to be your typical cold tsundere but he was actually super sweet and kind. I loved how he taught the FL things and just the way he smiled anytime he was watching her was cute. I also was surprised when they included in his family/mom trauma- wish they could of dove into that but obviously since it's just a movie- there couldn't be much done.
Acting: LOVED all the actors!!! They did amazing at acting their roles so well. Highkey- I loved Nakajima Kento in this role more than his famous role in The Black Devil and the White Prince.
Music: N/A
Rewatch Value: Would def rewatch when i'm sad or happy because it has no drama and LOTS of fluff!!!
Other Notes: Overall, I was interested in the movie because of he plotline and it amazed me and I fell in love with the movie. Really wish they can remake into a drama!!!

Great comfort rewatch show with best theme song
I recall watching this series a couple years back and it seriously is the best. The epic theme song is addicting and goes with the series so well.
Satoh Takeru is such an amazing actor and he was great in this series. He and Watabe Atsuro have such good chemistry together as partners and a father-son duo. I loved all their funny and heartwarming moments together.
The whole cast was so goofy and they all had amazing chemistry!
Overall, this is a gem and a great comfort rewatch show.

Enjoyable short fantasy series
Watched this drama for October Halloween month and it surprised me a bit.Overall, the storyline is pretty enjoyable and everything was fairly paced well for this short series.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Nam Jihyun- I just don't like her acting lol but it was tolerable.
All the other actors did a great job; a little disappointed because I felt like Chae Jonghyeop's character Gilyong kind of gives the same vibes as his character in Nevertheless but he is a new actor so hopefully he takes on other roles.
Of course Jihyo is such a vibe; gives me the same feelings as Jang Manwol in Hotel Deluna. Jihyo did an amazing job acting and I could not with the Jihyo and Ha Dogwon duo (If you watch Running Man, you know what i'm talking about). It was funny seeing them too together and I couldn't help but laugh thinking about Running Man. Also after watching this series, I now understand that one episode they had in Outrun by Running Man!
What surprised me about this series is the unexpected plot twist. It was def a bit a of bored for me before they started to unravel everything but when they did; I was like okay this is getting interesting. The plot twist is semi predictable but it def made sense and tied everything together.
All in all, the series was pretty good and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Perfect short watch for Halloween!

Overall the series was good. I really enjoyed the food eating scenes and interactions between college friends. To be honest, I enjoyed the past scenes more than the present time- I wasn't a big fan of Seoyun and Sun's relationship. I really wish they had a reunion and not just Daeyeong and Jiwoo attending Sungju's wedding without the other two boys. It would of been fun to see what they were up to in present time.
I really enjoyed the comedy in this series though. Some of the moments really made me laugh out loud and was probably the only thing I enjoyed other than the foodie scenes.
I also feel like there were some loops holes in Daeyeong and Jiwoo's relationship. We got to see where Daeyeong got his foodie inspiration from and it was nice that in the present time Daeyeong was able to re-inspire Jiwoo into a foodie too. However, I feel like their relationship could of developed way more. We got to see all their cute interactions in past. It was disappointing to see that Daeyeong and Jiwoo didn't even get to see each other during or after Daeyeong's enlistment.
I haven't seen the other two seasons before so I don't know how Daeyeong acted before this season but we can see that he was dealing with the death of his girlfriend- which I feel like the writers could of gone more into. They only did in the last episodes but it's like ???? why have a love line with Jiwoo if you aren't going to resolve his past feelings? Although we did get some closure, really wish it was more towards the middle of the series. I do love Daeyeong's character because he was always so kind and considerate to others.
Moving on to Jiwoo and Seoyun. Honestly I really hated Seoyun- which I think many other people did too lol. Her character was just so annoying. She always thought she was better than everyone else and expected people to cater to her. Jiwoo wasn't super bad- I understood why she fought with Seoyun so much cause I mean how can someone deal with that right?
They literally had so many fighting scenes, it was so annoying. Like Daeyeong and other boys would also have to break them up or just stand their awkwardly like bruh...are ya'll not embarrassed???
I just feel like the writer's dragged on their sister problem and it was soooo annoying. Like we can see the two sisters cared for each other but did such a poor job at it.
After watching the whole series- I feel like Jiwoo wasn't even a main character- they focused so much on Seoyun and her character development. Seoyun was such an annoying character. I understand her trauma, her mom hated her and blamed everything on her. But Seoyun literally has the same traits as her mom...after learning her back story it all made sense but it shouldn't have taken the whole series for her change. And her love line with Sun was really weird and random in my eyes. I don't think the two look cute together.
Sadly the series was cut 2 episodes due to Doojoon's enlistment so I feel like they tried to wrap it up as neatly as possible- which I think they did a pretty good job of. Still wish we could of seen more development in the characters and faster storyline execution.
Some of my favorite moments from the series:
In episode 3, when the girls thought Byungsam was mute because he was too shy to talk to girls. And Jiwoo started signing to him.
In episode 4, when Seoyun kissed Jiwoo to get rid of her blind date.
It was always funny when Byungsam and Jinseok tried to hit on girls and no one liked them haha.
And when Sun kissed Seoyun I was so shocked!! I did not expect that and just as funny when Seoyun suggested the two sleep together to get rid of Sun and Daeyoung the whole time was trying to distract Jiwoo from contacting them- he's a real bro lol.
Byungsam confessing to Jiwoo multiple times where everyone started keeping count.

Had a lot of potential to be really good but sadly it wasn't that great.
While I did enjoy the drama because of the promising story line and casting- the series kind of ended in disappointment.I love Victoria but I still think her acting needs major improving lol. She and Johnny had good chemistry and that was probably one of the reasons why I kept watching the series.
The storyline was so good in the beginning but it kind of just went all over the place later?? Wish it could of went more into the fox generations and their lifestyle and the reincarnations of Victoria's character.
Moving on to Victoria's character--- honestly I'm not sure whether it's just Victoria's acting or its Guan Pipi but I just didn't really like her. You know at first she's not really fond of Helan but he grows on her but it stills seems like she's kind of stuck up and is using him as a rebound? idk...really wish they had more character development for her. and the whole situation with her ex-bf & ex-friend was just horrible ugh.
AND the ending ugh we barely got any good Helan and Pipi interactions and then they get separated like wtf. Really wish they had a better ending and a sequel tbh.
Overall, I enjoyed the drama but was a bit disappointed because this drama could of been executed way better!!

Stereotypical with a twist but not my cup of tea
Firstly, I did enjoyed the witch plot line and how that created the twist. However I did not enjoy the main actress, she didn’t do that great of a job and tbh the male lead’s character was also quite confusing. Tbh the second female lead- her best friend was more likable than the main lead herself. And I was more interested in what would of happened if the second female lead and the male lead got together.Overall, it was a good drama to watch while doing other things. Interesting parts in some episodes but the rest mediocre.

Finally, A Genuine Dating Show with Minimal Drama and more Friendship instead
Storyline/Plot: Sometimes I question if the show is actually scripted because some goofy stuff happens but you know- let's just hope it isn't.Cast: (from fav to least)
Kim Se Jun: LOVED LOVED LOVED him because he was literally just a vibe the whole show and he had undivided love and attention for my girl Lee Soe.
Kim Han Bin: Seriously LOVE LOVE LOVE him because he's cute and is a cook!! If there were younger female cast members they definitely would of been fighting for him!!
Lee Nadine: WOW who did not like Nadine? Seriously girl is living the true asian-american dream life. But obviously none of the male cast members would of picked her cause she isn't their type.
Choi Jong Woo: tbh he wasn't much in the beginning and I really did not think he had an influence on Seulki but he really came through during the mud pit fight. Honestly, at the end when Seulki chose him, I cried for him cause his dreams came true!!! He seems super sweet and would be such good bf material!
Lee Soe: I liked her in the beginning, kind of disliked her in the middle and liked her in end. I really felt for her because she reminded me of past self in relationships too. But glad she was mature and really took care of herself and took the time to move on from Yoongjae- so she could be with Sejun!!!
Shin Seul Ki: Honestly, I wasn't a big fan of her at first because she just gave off those vibes lol but she honestly isn't too bad. I really liked how she was able to stand her ground with her boundaries and chose herself at the end of the day. Honestly really thought she was going to choose Jinyoung thou LOL
Choi Seo Eun: She's really pretty and really cool and down to earth!! But her choice in men got me questioning lolol IDK if I would chose
Jinyoung: WOW I understand he was so popular and he was pretty cool but that shit he pulled at the last episode got me questioning. He seems like a genuine guy but he definitely thinks too much- like he was stuck in his head with Nadine and Seulki. He played their whole life future together before he even decided if he wanted to choose them lol. Also I think realistically he wouldn't have ended up with any of the girls just cause his lifestyle doesn't fit with them.
Park Se Jeong: Put her in a show in the US and all the bros would be down for her. Didn't really get to see her much and sad she didn't go to paradise but highkey she seems like those two-faced people??? Just cause that one scene where Nadine told her she was interested in talking to Jinyoung more but she went to Jinyoung first to talk to him....MEAN GIRL VIBES- steal ur bf & act like nothing happen vibes lololol
Jo Yoong Jae: Okay, let's be real, he is good looking and cool. But that plot twist gmfu and just the fact that he couldn't reject Soe didn't make sense and is highkey a red flag. Like he's 32, looks that good- probably had loads of girls chasing him- like he would know how to reject them right??? The whole scene where Soe and him were talking after he confirmed Seoeun's feelings pissed me off. Like she was trying to make him feel better....when she was the one being rejected. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE...
Lim Min Su: Honestly, this girl was boring. She was just there to add drama and create a divide between Jinyoung and Seulki. Didn't understand why she chose Jinyoung twice to go to Paradise- talk about awkward...lol
Shin Dong Woo: MY LEAST FAV- tbh he just smells red flag all over. It shocked me when he chose Seulki during the first rounds of Paradise- although it wasn't all that surprising; just more disappointing because ONE he was basically giving Nadine vibes that he was going to choose her but he chose Seulki instead. SO bro's a LIAR (like Nadine said in that post YT video lmfao). Anyways, it was disappointing because I really thought he was different from the average Asian man but he ain't.
And then the whole Seulki situation was just embarrassing- first their date in paradise was so awkward (like bro doesn't understand boundaries). and seriously even after Seulki told him that she wasn't interested in her no more, he still was trying to pursue her in a sense which was just so bad to watch- second hand embarrassment. OHHH and they way he just switched off after learning that Nadine was pre-med at Harvard was another red flag. Like he really could of been like older brother vibes and given her advice and such you know but he was just like turned off. Which is ironic bc that's what Seulki did when she learned he was a doctor, in my opinion.
Music: N/A
Rewatch Value: Probably won't rewatch just because it's only good the first time seeing it lol
Other Notes: The plot twists were crazy and really did not expect them to happen. Overall, I'm glad I watched the show though because there was minimal drama and loads of friendship and it was just genuine.
