Over dramatic plot and draggy romance but watchable not that bad

I came to watch this drama in 2022 after watching Bulgasal drama ,, the male lead caught my eye in bulgasal and I loved him there and this drama at first glance seemed ok ..... I liked the synopsis but when I actually began to watch it ,, started to get bothered by a lot of things
first of all this drama was released 2016 the golden year for amazing korean dramas ,, this one definitely the weakest of them all ....... the story is too dramatic and unrealistic in any way .
The classic novel count de Monte Christo sort of story ,,, and how he escaped death twice or may be three times was ridiculous not humanly possible
The medical procedures in this drama are laughable ,, nothing medically accurate in this drama and there are so many sick scenes for Angsty purposes and serious injuries ,,, the male lead got shot then was treated as if it was nothing ,, then got blown up then drowned and also was treated as if it was nothing then he had an aneurism in his brain kept fighting and inserting himself in so many conflicts any normal brain would have been hurt not with an aneurism ,, his sister was pushed through terrace and fell from second floor and escaped death with blind eyes ,, nerve damages that has never been treated and she got treatment ,, him getting beaten up a lot while in this health condition and every time he's okey after scanning his brain ,, even at the last episode there were too much drama for no reason at all
The writer made over used melodramatic situations that it became overrated and ridiculous the last episode was absolutely illogical ,, why in the world did the female lead went to confront the evil guy without backup as if she's committing suicide and yet the male lead didn't even got out of the operating room also
How The doctors left the compass in his hands while in surgery and he was clutching on it ,, isn't the operating room supposed to be sanitized and non personal belongings with the patient ,, he's supposed to be naked in the surgery ,, they left the compass in his hands and he was holding it tight ,,, How ,, he was practically brain dead and under general Anastasia
part from all that medical nonsense ,, the villains were like from cartoons or something that old guy and his crazy laugh it was hilarious ,, evil laugh hahahahaha
the female lead did a lot of stupid moved and I mean a lot ,, the love triangle existed to make us feel sorry for her co worker who loved her ,, he was really good character
overall I didn't enjoy this drama that much to be honest even if it was fictional all of it ,, it wasn't that good not like Bulgasal at all ,, of course no comparison between them at all

Worst sci fi drama I've ever seen ,, really waste of time ,, Incoherent and disappointing

It started mysterious okey that supposed to happen in sci fi dramas then it became about a villainous app that grant wishes but get people killed ,, so that was interesting ,, I wanted to know where it's headed because we live in the world of apps and social media ,, then they added some romance ,, then trauma from the past as Asian dramas usually does then it became about wanting to destroy the app but somehow family drama entangled with the mission that failed horribly all that and they mixed with it some sort of people dying and coming back to life with a chip ,, I don't know if that was virtually or real ,, that wasn't explained then it became all over the place ,, I didn't follow what was going on exactly
I don't know when the male lead switched side to the evil side and why ??? And did he really killed his own father ??? that wasn't clear
I really was lost and didn't know what was this drama about after all that

Season two is so much better than season one and they are connected but not the same

I enjoyed this season a lot than the first one ,, the story of thousand years back in the past was so much better and more intriguing also had lots of interesting characters new and altered ones
the fluffiness of first season wasn't there and that was the best ,,, it was more mature romantic story with hardship in the middle of actual war and bloody fights
also the changes that happened to every character was for the better ,,, I don't know if they had changed the writer or what but the story got a lot better in second season and the end of first season
Wen Gu character was the one who excited me more than any character in his renewed character from doctor and a villain in first season to an out cast soldier to a king for his clan to a naïve innocent boy with amnesia ... all these roles was played perfectly and with a lot of emotions ,, I fell in love with him more than the main lead to be honest
the main leads in first season were boring and I wasn't actually feeling their love for each other or feeling that their love is real
especially the female lead at first season she was kind of dumb jealous most of the time with nonsense powers
but in second season she was a leader for a female army ,, she was kind of a role model and respected female leader
I loved her second season character more too
so overall just to know how the story started watch the first season fast then enjoy the second
the finale was ok and happy ,, it should have ended at episode 36 because that was more logical but it's ok didn't mind the last four episodes for a happy ending

Confused Psychological thriller drama with Bromance touch

I watched the first season and it was very thrilling and exciting the first seven episodes then dull and boring with lots of jumping through cases and shots taken ,,, it made my head hurts and didn't feel good about it at all
but
the second season was way better in pacing also the production was better yet
the director is the worst ,,,, I don't know what was he thinking
the camera work was very poor cutting short every climax scene ,,, capturing reactions from the other side of a horrific or traumatizing scene left me imagining what did this character saw and that was really frustrating
I kept skipping the looooooong dialogues the male lead was having most of the times analyzing psychological aspects and turn to be wrong about them later
Most of the time I was confused what's going on ?? the director didn't just confuse the audience watching he made it impossible to keep track of what is actually happening to the point you just go with the flow
after all that confusion and frustration the only thing kept me watching was the bromance
The two detective lived with each other and cared for each other in brotherly way also they had a scene in every end of the episode where they nag each other and brank each other that was fun to watch
the final identical episodes were like optional which finale to choose from
I chose episode 24 she was a criminal she deserved to go to jail

Bromance drama with lots of tomb exploring and little romance a side

I delayed watching this drama because of some reviews about it also I've watched most of the lost tomb drama not in order before this one and despite me knowing it's prequel ,, I wasn't eager to watch it but I was bored this summer and I stumble on it again ,, I gave it a go and I'm surprised that I actually loved it and enjoyed it so much WHY ??
It has Bromance and really good friendship between the four male leads not just the main two
The Bromance was the thing that made me fell in love with it
Fo ye is a very caring loving friend who thinks and cares about his best friend's happiness even if he himself will get hurt because of it
The character of the Main lead is very Charismatic charming yet powerful commander and devoted friend to his best friends not just Lay Zhang's character which was annoying most of the time and really selfish yet his best friend didn't hate him or fight him even when he was about to kill him two times
The main character hold the story together really well ,, he earned his place as the head of the nine families and the best soldier protecting his town from it's enemies
Lay Zhang was ok as an actor seemed off sometimes with his lack of expressions but it was ok ,, his character was really annoying sometimes because of his obsession about his wife ,, his whole story revolves around his insanity following his wife's death and hurting his friend over and over again because of it
they made every female except the main FL fell in love with Lay Zhang's character hahahah that was ridiculous
the story had it's flows and the drama sometimes get draggy but not too much skipping few scenes especially the scenes of the evil guys plotting it was draggy a bit and annoying sometimes
but overall it's quite an adventurous ride with lots of Bromance and comradery
I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed every lost tomb series may be more
I recommend it so much and don't just judge by anyone's saying it's boring or it's about politics because it's not at all
The fighting scenes yes there were plenty of it but it was good Wu Xie like fighting a bit exaggerated but also the whole story is fictional so it's fine by me
the secondary two friends who stood by their boss and his best friend were amazing ,, they had their own bromance too helping the main two characters and putting them first ,, they endangered themselves to save their friends both of them
they were crucial to the story without them the main two male lead would have died in the middle of the story
also the female lead is really nice and caring person not over baring or annoying

Amazing Bromance between New Brothers

I though it was light summer funny drama that has no good story or just goofy young men having fun but I was wrong
this drama is so good ,, it's not melodramatic or sad in any way but it has it's deep meaningful scenes that will make you cry for the leads also the relationship between the two brothers is everything and it was so realistic how much they show care for each other as any good siblings do ,, even when they fight ,, they fight with care because they are brothers
I loved their unique characters ,,, one who is over the top energetic and funny ,, the other is so polite and weird in a good way
I loved them both ,, especially the older one he cared and loved his brother so much in so many scenes I felt sorry for him especially towards the end ,, because his life was all about sharing work and home with his younger brother
the younger brother is so polite and so respectful towards everyone that he chose to get separated from his older brother just to care for his own father who needed him ,, I felt so sad at the end because it's somehow very realistic
life separates loved ones and family members all the time
I recommend this drama so much if you like family relationships and friendship
there was a romantic side story in the drama that has little connection with the main leads ,, it wasn't very good actually
it was like a filler side story not much there ,, I didn't pay much attention to it

Slow boring story with beautiful cast

I came to watch this after legend of Yun Xie
unfortunately the story is so week here
the actors were amazing and good looking especially the villain but he lacked acting skills
the second lead who is the villain and the one fights for the FL doesn't have but one expression throughout the whole drama
Fu Rong the female lead here is a wild girl who can't be tamed even by love ,, she does every stupid thing and get her family and loved one in troubles every single episode ,, it's really tiring ,, sometimes i feel she is so stupid and doesn't deserve the love she gets from every one
she doesn't listen to anyone or even care about anyone's safety
she didn't act guilty of her own mistakes ever
I really came to watch this drama for the actress because she did a great job in two dramas before this but the story ruined her character
made her pratty and selfish
Zhang Zhe han's acting skills improved a lot from Yunxie drama and he's a lot responsive here to every emotion but his character lacked a lot than Yunxie
the first half of the drama was good but it dragged a lot boring episodes to the end

Brotherhood drama with Horrible ending

It started really good and really clever with exciting way of solving cases
then it began a story of friendship .. really close friendship with shady past that connected the two male lead
it was exciting to know their relationship ... then it dragged in the middle with a lot of flashbacks and repeated scenes to clarify every case ,,,, also they stuffed unnecessary romance for the male leads ,, yet it wasn't a love triangle .. I don't know how
It seemed that the writer hated the doctor's character or may be all his characters ,, he made for them horrible past and didn't let them feel happy for long just one or two scenes
then he destroyed everything with horrible finale

It's not as good as the first season but it's not bad either

I've watched this drama just after finishing the first season that made me obsessed over the story and the characters ,,, I just watched it because my friends said it's good and has family bonding story the kind I like most
The Chang Ling family are amazing all of them I felt their pain ,,, their love for each other ,, their love for their country ,, they are the best all of them ,, I cried a lot in this season I loved their story so much but
As a lot of reviews stated this drama is split in half to two stories ... they aren't really attached to each other as they killed off the main character then his father then the first main lead went into sanctuary grieving without being part of the second story most of the time
I didn't like the second story at all ,, it seemed forced and slow paced ,, i felt bored mostly in the second half but it picked up the pace in the finale episodes again when the main lead returned to save the young king
this drama is worth watching but don't expect much from it ,, it's not even remotely as good as the first season

Happiness is no where to be found in this

I know the drama isn't finished yet and we are half way through the episodes but I felt I have to say something about the first half of it
so far the name of the drama isn't related to it's content at all despite that the female lead tried to explain that happiness is within the people's comfort zone no matter how much the world is becoming crazy and going to hell out there we have to be happy and live our happy life ,, she said that and she may be felt happy having her own apartment and marrying her high school crush in an apocalyptic world but as a viewer I don't see them happy ,, they didn't even kissed once or felt safe until now they are running around trying to survive that's it
Does survival considered Happiness now ?
Also the plot is lacking a lot of details about the characters ,, especially the main lead couple ,, we don't know anything about their families ,, the female lead's family seemed disconnected and she has issues with them that wasn't clarified enough and the male lead's family ??nothing about him at all ?? the writer is giving us punch of people trapped in Quarantine chasing each other without any further details about their own lives or backgrounds just the usual superficial irritating human greed and evilness that's it ,, the writer focused too much on showing us human evilness in crisis
I wanted to see more about the main couples' families and their background ,, I wanted to see more interactions between the lead couple delivering the happiness they meant .. I wanted more depth into the characters ,, I wanted to see the other side outside the Quarantine
I feel like the writer Quarantined us with the characters ,, we are trapped with them ,, we can't know what is happening outside the wall .... just keep watching people getting infected and chasing each other six episodes long that could have been two hour movie
I know that I'm in the minority here to say half way through this drama is becoming really boring lacking a lot
I'm wondering ,, will the writer show us what is really going on outside the next six episodes ?? will we see the main couple get their happiness they deserve ?? will we be answered on the questions the writer made us ask ? too many un answered questions needed to be answered in the next six episodes

1997 Detective retro bromance drama that has family aspects

I wasn't interested much in this drama as I don't like the male lead very much, it's just a matter of taste but somehow
the plot is engaging,, it kept popping up in front of me
a lot of friendship and Bromnance scenes just kept popping up in front of me on tiktok so I checked it out
the drama itself has a unique setting in the past and very accurate Props from 1997 ,, I was 11 at the time LOL
so it's very nostalgic also
the team of detectives is very likable and the male lead isn't arrogant nor cold , he's so much like big brother to all of them
it's more like a family drama that deals with drug gangs
I don't like much violence and here the violence is okay not gruesome nor gore, it's mild for this genere
the gangs are vicious and not like Korean dramas that have gangs cursing all the time and hitting each other LOL
they feel more dangerous here
it has a lot of realistic scenes from actual life, not fiction
has a lot of hilarious reactions to dangerous situations but somehow plausible not farce
Add to all of that cinematography and very good chemistry between the two male leads Bromance and friendship-like
The two male leads have diffirent personalities but somehow how they complete each other's shortcomings
one can fight and the other can't but has the brains for it so it's my favorite genre
It has that traumatic past and its effect on the male lead that's bromance 101 to have that friend comforting you all that time
the drama combines fun with seriousness in a very balanced way
I love that about it
I've watched 16 episodes by now and I'm totally hooked and obsessed by it

Worst second season ever made

Dull, boring, slow, and useless
what to say more,, first season was okay somewhat intriguing and funny at times
this season is pointless,, nothing new, villains are just either stupid or envious not real villains
the romantic story didn't develop it got stuck in some repeated scenes,, really a waste of time
and above all they added lesbians in one of their cases
as if at that time lesbians actually existed
they are forcing the gayness on us like shit and I'm fed up with this forced propaganda

Plot failed me no matter how good the cast or the cinematography were ,, BORING

I was so hyped when this drama released and I was excited to see Wang Yibo in a martial arts drama may be hoped for bromance with the male lead but how I was wrong ,, I did waste my internet package on downloading the whole drama
I was really excited then but when I started watching it some how I couldn't get into the story ,, couldn't understand what is going on most of the time ,, all I could get is two male leads running around investigating into complicated political relationships to avenge their dead family members and people in power mostly corrupt deceiving them ,, they are not partners and they don't talk to each other,,, they are not friends nor close ,, they were really cold and indifferent
every one of them has a female love interest but Wang Yino's character couldn't care less about his wife,, he was like a persistent annoying teenager didn't feel him any better nor his character was any better to any one
the male lead's romantic story wasn't good either but it was okey not that bad ,,, that couple seemed fit together but they had no time they were running around investigating in the same circle again getting hurt saving each other with very little emotional scenes and detached from each other ,, felt very inconsistent to watch
It's like the director put all his martial arts knowledge and a lot of trying to appear smart investigative talk into it
I watched many smart detective dramas before this wasn't smart at all ,, this was people acting like they are smart but not at all
,, I hold off the drama for month and said I will try it later may be My mood isn't great for it now but when I returned same boredom ,,, same confusing detective talk ,, same shady and suspicious characters with no attachment at all
I was done ,,, no matter how much I skipped the episodes ,, it's done

Amazing fire fighter variety show has our loved actors as real first responders

I was intrigued to see anything of Zhang Han's real life interactions as I was intrigued with his dramas characters
it was recommend it on youtube to watch clips of this show ,,it's not acting ,,it's actual fire fighting training program for six artists ,, Zhang Han is one of them
And from the first clip ,, Zhang Han clashed with the training officer because he somehow belittled the acting industry to discipline them into training but Zhang Han gave him such powerful serious speech about how every industry has it's respect and he won't approve of what that trainer said about his acting career ,, I really respected him so much for that
although they were at first having fun and treating the training as a fun program not actual boot camp for fire fighting and rescue missions ,, they step by step became more serious and involved in the training as hard as it gets and they were sent on actual real rescue missions ,, they saw themselves how difficult it is to live as a fire fighter and I loved the program for that
it has it's funny hilarious scenes also it has it's emotional serious rescue missions ,, they all learned something amazing from it
I loved how the fire fighter trainers treated them as family and friends ,, they were part of their squad
it was challenging ,, entertaining and really good fun time watching it ,,you won't feel bored
of course it's reality show ,, so it was relatable and it's drama was real life drama not scripted
sometimes they went over the top with the fun parts and the patriotic segments but it's essential in such shows ,,,that's the point from it ,, I wish in my country we had such tv shows to shed the light on the first responders struggles in life
I loved the six actors and I loved their brotherhood through all that tough training and actual missions

Strong friendship between a cop and a lost soul fighting for his father's innocence

This drama is amazing it's Action thriller Male friendship drama that aired recently but it's not BL ,, it's just complicated friendship between two best friends who got separated to drug war between police and drug dealers that got the male lead's parent's killed and implicated his father of being a drug dealer ,,, it left his son desperate for the truth so he became one of them or presumably one of the drug dealers and addicts on the other hand his best friend who was raised with him in his home became a policeman and a detective ,, he tried to help him by investigating his father's case but the police force isn't trust worthy either so the tension and the doubt of every one was the main theme throughout the drama ,,,
Sorry I made small synopsis of the drama first now what I feel about it
the Pacing is really good ,, it doesn't have boring long dialogues ,, may be a bit long investigative scenes and interrogations but it's all fun to watch
It did confuse me at first but later on things got a little clearer and it supposed to be mysterious of course at the beginning
it made me doubt the police and actually kind of trust the male lead who is the most suspicious person in the whole drama
I noticed that the male lead get beaten by everyone every single episode ,, he's too thin and haggard like hell and he got beaten too much to the point of exaggeration ,,, no body can handle all that beatings without actual physical injuries so I was annoying sometimes that he put himself in harms way for a small detail or just to play some trick and get that horrible beatings
the male lead is supposed to be drug addict but it didn't show much of that or how he overcomes his addiction
also his so called best friend is freezing called to him and very tough on him ,, beat him sometimes too but he actually cares for him and what he does mostly in his every second of the day is thinking about his friend and the case
china threw a girl on Wang Yibo's character as a love interest out of no where just to pass censorship and it shows clearly she just there to be his girl friend nothing more
Wang Yibo's character actually lives in this drama for his best friend ,, didn't see his character does anything else but worrying about his best friend hence the Bromance
there are strong Bromance scenes ,, friendship scenes between the two male leads but it had it's limitations of course due to what we all know
I talked alot sorry but I actually loved this drama and enjoy it so much
it still on air didn't finish and I'm so scared that they will kill the male lead at the end ,, I see it has strong possibility of him getting killed at the end ,,, we shall wait and see ,, I hope not
I recommend this drama so much to people who likes action thriller and bromance dramas
