A heartwrenching and beautiful story

It was kind of refreshing to see Daou and Offroad in this kind of serie, it's clearly a lakorn style but I like it a lot.

I know, it's not really perfect however, it's almost a perfect one because it has everything that I appreciate in general. The story was a bit absurd but still really entertaining. It got me hooked from the begining to the end and I even wanted more but looking back, 10 episodes was enough but wish it was a bit longer in terms of the duration of each episodes. But it successfully made me going through several emotions such as sadness (as I mentioned in the headline, it was heartwrenching but I won't spoiled anything, I just want to prevent if you read this to prepare some tissues or be mentally prepared lol), frustration and happiness (and a bit more) LOL

The acting was also great and convincing, shout out to Daou for his first action scenes without a Stand-In! I also like all the support characters, espcially Joo / Chu who is really adorable and bubbly and the grand-parents (I thought they were her parents?) are also lovely. I just want to complain about the villains, they lacked some depth but again, it was still entertaining.

I also would like to mention that the cinematography was pretty nice and again, I love the settings and the sino-thai vibes with the mixed of superstition and supernatural / fantasy elements.

In addition, I also appreciate the OST and instrumental songs that are used are simply beautiful / nice to listen especially the Chinese version, sung by Daou, of theme song.

To put in a nutshell, "Century of love" is somehow an easy watch that keep you entertaining, not only with its interesting plot and cultural background but also the chemistry of the main leads that won't disappoint you.

Emotional and thrilling story

Deep down in my heart, it's a 10/10 but because of some details and some parts which are making me roll my eyes and it also got in my nerves, it's a 9,5 but still a great serie. Worth the watch and I personally love everything they managed to show us such as the cultural references and some investigations (people didn't really like actions scenes but I love it). It was not boring for me, it was entertaining from the beginning to the end. But also the romance between the two main leads.

As I'm a Buddhist (yeah I know I don't like to share about religion and on) but I would say, I can relate to it more and I'm enjoying so much with the belief, the past life and the legend of Naga and Garuda.

The production of this show sets the bar high, it has some really beautiful scenes but I didn't really like the pixels and I didn't mean to see everything, it just that if they have to pixelize then, they could use another angle and it still could turn well!
I was a bit annoyed, mainly because some scenes were interesting but they cut it quickly (then maybe it's an editing problem).

But overall, I really appreciate this show and it's the rare one I watched several times lol
Thanks to this, I really love the acting of Billy Patchanon and also Heng Asavarid (he's a great villain, I love to hate him so much as Doctor Chalothorn!! Really he was the high light of this show, he was annoying yet entertaining and got me goosebumps).
I also like the rest of the actors / characters but for me Dr Chalothorn is the high light lol

The final episode was great but at the same it has flaws and there's a part in which I felt it was recap or a fanmade video so I mean, It was not that necessary, they could use this time to add some extra interesting scenes to develop the story (but I would say I didn't mind it but it just, it took "more" time than I thought. )

Lastly, I love that intro song and the rest are cute and nice to listen.

I would rewatch it despite some flaws but I want to say it's still a pefect serie since I really enjoy it.

Can I be the one in your heart?

This is purely my own feelings so my own opinion and this is my first thai survival show I've ever watched.
I would say, it's not perfect (what I mean is, wish they included one or two more judges instead of 3) but it's still a tv show and I enjoy it. But I wish I didn't know those 5 finalists before watching this, it could bring other feels lol

However, I feel like some were more favored than others, maybe it happened for every tv show, I don't know.

But thanks to this program, I've discovered such talented persons. As I said in my comment section I would be sad for some people that I've rooted for even though I already knew the end but glad that some people made it in their own way.

It was so endearing to see all of them, the passion they have, their efforts, their perseverance and they also brought some great performances!

It's a bit of irony but even though they were youngers then me except some were my age at that time, I also learnt from them about not giving up and no matter what happens, don't stop improving ourselve.

A Heartwarming drama

So I watched the online version that has 40 eps unlike the 46 here

Well, I don't know how to start but in my opinion, it was one of the best chinese dramas I have ever watched. It was so relatable and realistic by the development of the story. What I also really appreciated was, they include other characters stories such as Li Jianjian's friends, especially her bestfriends.

It's true that I was so endeared when the three main characters (Li Jianjian, Ling Xiao and He Ziqiu) , were young and I was litterally binge watching those eps bt then, when they were adults, the feels were not the same but I was still attached / endeared by them. At first, I was touched/moved by one character and it was Ziqiu. Each scene, my eyes teared up when he appeared. I must applaud the child actor who delivered really well his expressions, and the teenager one / the adult one playde by Zhang Xinchen was a realy good actor. Whenever I saw him on screen (but it was mostly at the begining), he made me cry. I really like his character, I wanted to comfort him so bad.
And then, when they came to the story of Lingxiao, I also wanted to comfort him and I hated his mother but I think, it's a pity that in asian countries, they didn't give some professionnal helps (to see a psy) because I know, it was so hard for her since at that time, she lost her daughter. I feel like on one hand I hated her for her behaviour and she hurts her own son, Lingxiao, she litterally destroyed her family, impacted them, especially Lingxiao but on another hand, I feel like I pity her because they didn't help her (I mean to help her healing when she lost her daughter). But the actress was excellent.
I really loved Ziqiu's mother and when I wanted to hate her because she abandoned her son, I didn't hate her when I knew the truth and I'm glad for the ending she got. She's indeed a beautiful person.
Of course, I was jealous of Li Jianjian's relationship with those two haha but seriously, I really loved their dynamics and I don't know why, there was a moment, I wanted her to end with Ziqiu because, even though I knew it was only siblings energy but when they were adults, they were looking good together. But maybe, these two actors would collaborate again later, maybe because I'm sure, the chemi will be there!
I think, The spotlight goes to the dad of Li Jianjian, what a humble man! I really appreciated his character as a father (i think, the best father here) who was here for them.

I don't know what to add but each characters were interesting and relatable (well not everyone but some yes) but anyway, all the actors brought alive these characters. Go ahead teaches us some life lessons, how to be a parent, how to love each other as family (and sometime even when they are not blood releated) and friends and also, how to overcome obstacles in life. It's also true when, we grow up, we migt be not as close as before. It was so real, I felt that.

For the romance part, I honestly wasn't so surprised since I knew at the beginning with some details and differences.

As an Asian, I really relate to them and for me, Go ahead is one of the best slice of life drama and it has now a special place in my heart.

In addition, all the OST bring some magical feelings (well not magic but it brings something to the heart and to complete the drama), Beautiful soundtracks to listen, mostly before sleeping, when it rains or at night. It somehow, comfort us.

A realistic movie of an indigenous family

So it's going to be quite difficult to share my impressions, I feel like it might be not a really good review because it's a special one and I don't particularly find the right words to describe it, but I'll try my best.

Ok, first of all, I've read somewhere the director or production team didn't hire professional actors (or maybe a part of them), they are people like you and me so it's not about who acted the best or not. I would say, it feels more a bit of a documentary and we've followed their daily life.

Now; "Gaga" is a movie that can relate to us and at the same time, it can't. It's because, there's indeed some family conflicts that I'm sure everyone can relate to it and on the other hand, we don't really know about their culture (that's why I said, we can't relate to them). For example: triggered warnings and if they censored it, it's also a part of their culture, it was still a bit hard to hear pigs crying (because they are kxlled for their ritual, it's a tradition).

I just wish, they could show us more and explain more about their tradition because I didn't know the Atayal tribe. I know that in Taiwan, there's a lot of diversity in terms of tribes and indigenous families.

Also one of the high lights for me are the landcapes, some shots are really chill and beautiful.

It was a nice discovery but it lacks something to be more invested and to be more interested in it.

A healing journey

I think I was not in the right mood when I've started the first episode because I felt, I was not really into the story until the next episode and somehow, I've found it pleasing to watch and to follow their healing journey (mainly Jae Won).

It's more than a love story, it got unexpected real, relatable and touching. It seems somehow confusing like an art.

I really liked the cinematography, especially the intro that I think it was interesting and nicely done, simple yet in a stylistic way.

I don't know how to put in right words but I somehow understand the hype and that it was kind of different than I used to watch. I could give a higher rating but somehow, in my mind I feel like the way they execute the whole plot, it might not in my taste or what I've expected..? I'm confused lol

Anyway, I have posotive vibes towards this serie in general.

The journey of the trainees

How to begin with?

Some parts were really good, it's hilarious (some times it became a meme itself) and some parts were not that good or it's because it's not what I've expected. I was a bit disappointed but overall, I rated higher because of the quality of the cinematography, the acting and the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed every episodes (even when things kind of disappointed me), I took it as a slice of life and not a typical BL. For sure, the BL part lacks some background that could be improved.

I think, they could have more than 12 episodes to dive into each characters and of course, for Ryan and Jane and then it could be kind of perfect.

What I also really like, it kind of teach me and for someone who have never worked in a production / entertainment industry, it could be an eye-opener (ok although I already know some points) but for those who have already worked in this field, I do understand it might be repetitive and somehow useless. But still it was done nicely!

Sorry, it's quite short but I finished a while.. Anyway, I'm part of the minority who loved this show despite some flaws.

Funny and touching

I've finally watched this movie and I really liked it.
It was a really nice movie about the relationship between two siblings, it's ordinary but at the same time it could be so relatable and touching.

Personally, I also have an older brother but I can't really relate as he's not like Chut in this and we're getting along well so yes I'm lucky lol
I can't explain how I felt towards Chut's character, it's a bit complex, he's really funny but at the same time really annoying and I don't quite understand his behavior although I've watched the whole movie lol
Poor Jane but there's one scene I disliked her for something she did because it's like she neglected her brothers's feelings. I know, I understand her, I know how annoying and horrible he might be but Ilked these characters, they are relatable.

But seriously, I felt genuine feelings from both of them and I was kind of moved by their story. I thought it would be too long with 2hours but no, the pacing was right although I do still think some scenes were a bit dragging. At the same time, I feel it was a bit rushed, maybe it's the choice of the editing or the transition of some scenes. I was sometimes taken aback from it.

One of my few complains is that I was not fully invested in the romance between Jane and Mochi. I don't mind that it's not the focus on their relationship because it's mainly about the sibilings however it lacks some scenes or some sparks?? Because I'm sure, it could have been better if there was something more believable? I'm not quite sure how to explain this. But it's later on that I've found them cute and that I had believed they are really together lol

So I think I would rewatch this movie but not entirely, just a few funny scenes and some that are heartwarming.

A heartwarming short story

Look.. Why am I watching this now? Wish I could watch it way before but anyway I personally loved it, it's a small gem.
Am I crazy to rate it as 10/10? Yes, despite some small flaws but I do think it deserve a high rating.

They could made it as a movie or maybe a short drama with a few more episodes to develop further the story but I don't know why, I'm still satisfied with these 2 episodes.

Finally I was able to watch the main actor with a different side and not as an a**h*le character lol
I really like the dynamic between the main leads, two different people but that was quite sweet and beautiful how they found each other. However, I might complain with Wirin's behavior but looking back, her little bit of flawed character is also relatable so at the end, I won't mind rather accept it.

The story is simple but still interesting, heartfelt with a life lesson and about self-worth. It was really nice to watch, especially with the settings, the landscapes were nice as if we came with them and that it was also a healing small trip.

I would gladly recommend this to anyone.

Inspiring story

I've never heard of this movie till someone shared it on the feeds and I've decided to give it a try because why not!

I must say, I quite enjoyed it, I always have a soft spot with this kind of coming of age story and this movie delivered well on its own. It was so simple yet I can somehow relate to it and can't help but to root for her till the end. She was not, in my surprise, a dislikeable character at all like I thought.

I quite appreciate the development of the story throughout the whole movie, it was really well done and I was glad to understand a bit more of her character and her surrounding.

I would say I liked all the characters except her teacher in high school but what scared me it's that some people are like him in real life and didn't think of the psychological aspect of the student and also, they only have one way to think about it.
I also didn't like her father although I understand his behavior, it's even scarely relatable but it didn't excuse for it, it's still wrong.

So overall, it has this heartfelt, encouraging / inspiring and kind of life lesson story that I found it somehow appealing.
However, if we think rationally, this movie is too positive for that BUT I won't bring this up and stay to my thought that it was a great movie after all.

Not fluffly but interesting

Ok so I have mixed feelings about this serie,I didn't hate it but I rather wasn't fond of it because of the character of Cho Tae Hyun. He's indeed a complex character but sometimes I also don't really understand the other one, Lee Da Yeol.

I have to admit, overall, the story was well done, I can't forget the behavior of Cho Taehyun at the begining (I hate bullying, in real life and even in fiction) so even if they tried to show us another side of him, it's a bit hard to forgive him on that part.

At the same time, I found it interesting to tackle this issue and to show this character and even their relationship throughout the episodes. It's litterally a serious / psychological (?) drama with a hint of a romantic relationship between Lee Dayeol and Cho Taehyun. Well, I didn't mind the lack of skinship and intimate scene but I also understand why people seem not to like and to feel being toyed / teased.

One thing that I appreciated was kind of the small journey of Lee Dayeol being an archery athelete (as I was interested way before to this kind of sport, I enjoyed these small moments).

The other issue that I have is what's going on with the last 2 episodes, But at the same time, I kind of understand the need of doing this? I'm not that sure, it still left me with mixed feelings. lol

But after all, both of them did a great job at portraying their characters, it was my first time seeing them and I've learnt they are both part of the same group (they are kind of underrated and sadly I only listen to one or two of their songs? But I'm glad, it makes me want to check more of their tracks and activities as artist).

For the OST, I wasn't hyped at the begining although it was nice to listen but after more episodes, it was easy to listen, I started to like it more. I have also learnt that it was one of them or both? who composed and write the lyrics of those songs? Surprisingly talented.

A thrilling ride

It's a serie in which you have to be mentally prepared because it tackles some sensitive topics / elements and it's more for mature audience, it's also not for everyone's cup of tea.

I've started without any expectations but I was prepared due to some comments saying it could be boring and for the sensitive parts. It's indeed difficult to watch (some scenes) so be aware of it. However, I've found it, in general, entertaining and it catched my attention from the first episode to the end.

Maybe, it's not new but I was quite impressed by the production and the choices of the camera movements (especially the first ep) that might be bothered by some but might be interesting (for me) for the others. I even thought that some shots or scenes were nicely filmed. I also liked the atmopshere and the lightning that were used, it me gives me somehow a chill feeling but at the same time, you know there's something's off there. In addition, the choice of the songs is also very good.

All the actors were doing a great job to portray their characters, I had goosebumps for it and I kind of "love" to hate them in my bottom of my heart.

It might be messy, crazy and unbelievable, episode after episode and they could turned some situations differently and maybe making more impactful but I'm still impressed by almost everything.

This is surprisingly a very good discovery of this year in my opinion.

Entertaining and not that scary

When it comes to horror genre, I love to watch the taiwanese ones and this movie got my attention.

Althought it was not that scary as I thought (and I was watching it during nightime), it was still engaging/interesting, entertaining and somehow heartwarming. Oh and of course, some sad /small emotional moments.

I really like everything, from the begining to the end, I was not bored although some things got on my nerves a little bit (or rather some behaviors from certains characters) and that, some parts were a bit predictable...In addition, I just felt that the second part was a bit weaker than I expected but still, I enjoyed it.

I do think, sometimes I just feel it's a funny horror movie but at the same time, it was getting serious, a weird feeling but I liked it.

So this movie was an easy-watch that keep you entertaining but you might feel bored if you have high expectations and that you want more on the horror part (such as jumpscares but I have to admit, I had a few jumpscares but I laughed it off because that was silly of me).

Dive back in time with them

A few years ago, I've watched the donghua version (just the first season I think), I know I liked it and the idea was interesting but I don't remember much of it but unexpectedly, I came across this drama version on youtube and reluctantly started this and it was a nice surprise!

First of all, I didn't know the cast and I thought the actors have portrayed very well their characters, I think I have a soft spot with the actor who plays Cheng Xiaoshi, I hope to see his acting in next projects (or previous ones since I haven't came across lol). I also liked Bi Wenjun as Lu Guang but since his character is the opposite of Cheng Xiaoshi, how do I say? It was alright (?).
However, I still loved their duo, their dynamic, they worked well together, it's more than cute, I don't know how to explain.

In general, I really like the vibe of the serie, it was indeed interesting and I also like the fact there's some subplot (mini stories). Some of them were even a tear-jerker...And another one, I was slightly not that invested but I'm glad, I watched it till the end.
Anyway, I was still, overall invested in the plot and I quite enjoyed following the characters each episodes.

The cinematography was nice, the effects were cool and I love the theme song.

I don't know if Link Click became one of my favorite serie but for sure, it was personnally, a good surprise. It's just a huge pity that the english subtitles were not that great because i'ts worth the watch (I don't complain much since I have studied mandarin chinese for 5 years, still I do wish they could fix the subs haha).

And.. If they plan to make a second season, I'm here for it, I also hope the cast remains!

Less expectations..Less satisfaction

At first I was hyped for this serie because of the new faces but then I realised I saw Great in Manner of death in a support role.

Anyway, it was a nice combination to put GreatInn together, they protrayed well their characters and they do have chemistry.

The problem is in the development of the plot, while I enjoyed some parts, other parts felt a bit draggy and rushed and maybe I'm the problem because since it's a mature serie, I wanted more and always forgot that since it's a GMMTV serie, that's their formula. However, I'm thankful and I appreciate they tried to produce some new stuffs but it still lacks something.

Even for the support roles, they didn't invest that much but I know they mainly want to focus on Wandee and Yoyak but still, it's like they show us some interesting parts at the begining and we want it more after that but no, they are like, it's not on our list lol

In general, I would say it's more lighter (although it does have some drama and a bit of spicyness) and funny, it's still a nice serie to watch but sadly, it didn't make me want to watch it again.
