Episode 12 23 October 2023How interesting is this. The finale for me fails to fire. Too many rushed ideas all at once without the background information. Lee Joon Gi is still fabulous in his role of Eunseom/Saya. But somehow the ending doesn’t strike the right cord for me. Arthdal carries on with Eunseom as the King but for me this part of the plot seems weak.In the fight for Arthdal the Momo Tribe turns up as do the Neanthals with Nunbyeol.So Tagon plan is to use Tanya as leverage against Eunseom and to poison with bichwisan(colourless, odorless) the waterways. He didn’t know Saya was still alive and captured his son Arok. Saya used that as a bargaining tool for Tanya life. The King is so strong though. He lets Tanya go but he fights and injures both Saya and Eunseom until Eunseom pull out Aramuns sword and almost fatally injures the King Tagon. Tealtha comes in and finishes him off with a mercy killing.Tanya runs to stop the poison from filling the pool the source of all water wells in Arthdal. She fails and needs to jump into the water to block the waterway doorway from opening. There she becomes poisoned. Tealtha has the antidote and give it to her. Saya is taken away by the Ikimahis.They go out to meet the people. Eunseom is declared ARAMUN HAESULLA exactly as Tanya plans but she then falls asleep for a long time. Meanwhile Saya is planning to take Arthdal and 10 years later Tealtha is planning to do the same thing.And then it end…..Room for a new season to start up.

So it goes on

Episode 11 22 October 2023I can’t believe this….This is the most frustrating of all of the episodes so far. Says turns up and he is naturally angry with Tanya when he sees all of the murals. Not many people know that he is alive so he is going his merry way doing his own thing. Queen Tealtha is shocked to see the devastation of the Arthdal troops and wonders if the King could have survived this. She heads back to Arthdal with the thought that Tanya could take over the city. Which of course she is in the midst of doing. The three pillars have assassination attempts but only one diesThe Queen send messages to the White Mountain for support and gathers the troops together and begins her verbal attack on Tanya when she arrives at the Palace with her supporters. Tanya is caught in an awkward position and uses her telepathic powers to send messages to the queen soldiers and they hesitates to follow the Queens instructions. Unfortunately this take a ominous turn when Tagon arrives with his band of soldiers and takes Tanya captive.Eunseom arrives at the gates and is told to move back 600 paces as The Queen kills Wahan people on the battlements at the gate. Then Tanya is brought forward. She is used to influence Eunseom, then Eunseom obeys.So holy moly this is going on. How are they going to wrap this up in one episode.

Creating a firestorm

Episode 10 16 October 2023 They are fighting on the field Inaishingi to the rescue on horseback. The King and Inaishingi are locked in battle. The King remembers Saya’s words to remember his face for that he will kill him. And the real ARAMUN HAESULLA is coming. The King tries to ride off on Eunseom horse Douri but the horse won’t let him. Eunseom gets on the horse and orders his troops to retreat. The King chases after him but a soldier stops him and reminds him that they follow him because he is Tagon. Nunbyeol and Chae Eun meet up with the Neanderthals. Rumours are spreading in Arthdal about Eunseoms story. Meanwhile in the forest. Tagon is up to his old tricks having a truce meeting and setting out his terms for the survival of the Ago Union. Eunseom doesn’t trust him but brings the horse he calls helper and the spy Suhana to the second meeting to trade for his second in command Tachugan and other minions. As soon as the horse is handed over when Tagon kills kills it by slashing its throat. Eunseom is shocked by this action but Mirusol has the presence of mind to stab Suhana several times killing her. Eunseom, Mirusol and Tachugan managed to escape from that melee. Eunseom has noticed clues as to a fire start procedure and so put a plan in place to start their own fire behind Tagon army. He sends a small group of his best people to complete this task.Eunseom get back to his troop but notices their plan to start a fire behind Tagons troops has failed so decided to got do it himself. An argument breaks out and he orders his people to carry out the other parts of the plan. He Mirusol and Tachugan backtrack to see what the problem is. Taemaja is the sole survivor of the back burner firestarters and they arrive just in time. Kitoha is in charge of stopping the fires but with the pressure of the new arrivals..….Taemaja is wounded with a spear in his back but with his last breath steps forward and falls igniting the tree. The wind has become fierce and fire shoots up the tree starting the backfire that Eunseom wants that will trap the King and the Kings troops. Eunseom and Mirusol managed to make it through the fires.Next week is the last two episodes so we are waiting with mush excitement to see how this will end or will this just lead up to a new series.

Is the King Mad or just pretending?

Episode 9 15 October 2023Nunbyeol attacks the King and she shows him that she is Neanderthal with her blue blood but Arok the Prince stabs her but she escapes with her sister Chae Eun.As it turns out everything went to custard and the King was just playing at being mad to test who was loyal to him……Says ends up dead….before that he has given the choice…kill Tanya or take poison. He immediately takes the latter but before he died he says. I will kill you remember this face.Tanya sent Yangcha to take Eunseom a message. She also want Eunseom to protect Yangcha. Eunseom uncovers the spy in the Ago Camp. Suhana tries to deny it but then laughs and tells Eunseom that she has been a spy for King Tagon for over 30 years. We guess that Yangcha is her son. The Ago people want her killed but Eunseom just makes her a prisoner.Meanwhile the King gathers up all of his enemies except Tanya who has a strong influence on the people. Instead he tells her that she cannot leave the temple. The Queen is imprisoned. She failed to use the poison that she had. The King took it from her and gave to Saya.Eunseom and his crew make iron swords and practice and prepare for battle.The King prepares to lead his troops into battle.Hae Yeobi the Queens poisons chemist goes to wake up Saya from his deep sleep

Friends or Bandits

Episode 7 9 October 2023Arthdale Chronicles 2 Sword of Aramun.....Wow! Every week it delivers a new surprise and our megastar Lee Joon Gi. He showing us what a sensational action man he is... Not only that, his portrayal of those two twins is so impressive. He makes each one of them a unique character.....once that Saya was a mean, conniving and tricky person with no redeeming qualities but Lee Joon Gi has made him human and we understand what made him like that. So we now have compassion for him. I think we even care about him. We don't want him to die. He has also grown up and more mature in his thinking. Then this character Eunseom he doesn't get over emotional about setbacks but strategises a solution. Every week you just can't wait for the next episode.The beginning of this starts off with these two at loggerheads with each other but finally they decide to be allies…Is this really what Says wants to do. They returned to their proper camps. They are themselves now. What Says has tasted in the Ago Camp though. Has he really decided to support Eunsoem. Anyway Taco is spirally out of control So Tanya, Says and the Queen decide they must kill the King before he kills anymore innocent people. Nunbyeol the Neanderthal helped Saya to save him from some assassins that came to his room ask him about the necklace Says is wearing.Meanwhile Eunseom has his own problems with bandits who have captured some of his top fighters and they go out to meet them. Spy in the camp

Episode 6 25 September 2023Even though they are both Lee Joon Gi. They look and feel like two different people. What a wonderful job he is doing with these two characters. As Saya Joongi has made us really feel his pain of being brought up without without love and without companionship or friendship or morals. What he learnt is from books. As Eunseon we feel his weight of responsibility to the Ago Union, the Wahan People and to Tanya. Every week it just gets better and better.What we up to now is Saya is in the Ago Union Camp and Eunseon is making his way home. Here what has happened Saya is almost stabbed by a man who totally knows he is not Eunseom and is save by a young fanatic who put her body between them. He Saya learns the nature of sacrifice these people are willing to do for their Leader EunsomeSaya goes out with the Ago guerrillas to intercept and Arthdal convoy of Weapons but what they find out is that they have been betrayed by a sky in the camp. I really want to know what is her motivation for this. Just a short word about Yangcha from the very beginning I really love this character. Somehow Yangcha just fascinates me. He has this vibe of mystery and his actions project a strong feeling of excitement yet also sensitivity. Even now he does not fail to be impressive.Notable Quotes"I would make a world where being weak wouldn't be a crime..."~Inaishingi x Eunsom" I, Eunsom of Wahan Tribe, will be Inaishingi, and ARAMUN HAESULLA! The twins have swapped camps and roles

Episode 5 24 September 2023I really like how the beginning title mimics the content of what is going to happen in the following episode. It just add a new atmosphere of excitement for our entertainment pleasure. It sets the scene. This episode starts on a high note and continues. Tanya saves the King and Queen from destruction as Tagon and Eunseom / Saya are bleeding their purple blood.They are taken back to the palace where Tagon is being patched up up doctors. He is severely injured. Not all are happy that he is a Igutu. He wake delirious and tells Eunseom /Saya we must kill; everyone who has seem or blood.Tanya has found the last oracle left by Aramun Haesulla, reading “When the zelkova tree cracks and my sword is revealed, Aramun shall know their mission.”She tells Eunseom only he can save everyone by becoming both Aramun Haesulla and Inaishingi. Although he loved Tanya he still refuses this. He says as Inaishingi of the ago Union it is up to him for them to conquer the Arthdal people.Before he get to leave Arthdal. He is imprisoned by the Queen. This causes an upfront within the rakes of the army. They go to the fortress of fire to see what is happening there they are met by the Palace guards. As the Queen is dealing with this problem…. Eunseom is rescued by the Wahan people. Tanya’s father gives him and iron sword.He is accosted by Tanya’s bodyguard who believes Eunseom is causing Tanya’s life to be in danger. They fight…. The bodyguard, Yangcha (He was the one that wore a mask for punishment and was not allowed to speak) Yangcha is a formidable fighter and has fought Eunseom in the past. This act/scene is a very dramatic and thrilling part. Eunseom breaks Yangcha’s sword so easily but then he is struck by lightning. He veins and muscles are illuminated by the light and he seem to go through some kind of metamorphisis and become more muscular and strong but Yangcha manages to push him over a cliff. He just climbs back up and throws Yangcha over the cliff but lowers Yangcha chain down and pulls him up. He see that lightning has split a zelkova tree and he embraces the call to be Aramun Haesulla and Inaishingi and calls the sword Aragon’s Sword.In the meantime back in the Ago Camp there is dessention as Inaishingi has not yet turned up. People are out hunting for him. Says is discovered by the group and taken back to the camp as Inaishingi.So there we have it the twins have swapped camps and roles.

White Mountain Tribe believe in the Prophecy

Episode 4Eunseom is so blatant when the Queen recognises that he is not Saya. He says straight to her face that he is Eunseom and he knows and that he hold power over her but he will do what she says and let her son be the heir to the King. If she gives him the secret of making the bronze.This episode I believe is setting the scene for greater adrenalin adventures. The code of the  White Mountain Tribe who protects the sacred caves of White Mountain Tribe, who has the great influence to sway the decisions of the Great Temple. This was repeated for us. Eunseom and Tanya went to the cave and uncovered the tomb of Aramun HaeSulla. This group also believes that the god Aramun HaeSulla is an Ignutu. Aramun Haesulla is the Founder of Arthdal/ God of Harmony and Unification.Eunseom is not believing in any of it nor in  An old Arthdal prophecy says that "the child born on the day when the blue comet appears will bring calamity." And so it is, on the day they were born, a bright blue streak lit across the sky. Three of them were born that day. Eunseom Saya and Tanya.Prince Arok, the son of Tagon and Taealha, is abducted, and the Arthdal Palace is in an uproar.The White Mountain Tribe think he cannot fulfil the prophecy. There is a big fight as the King and Queen try to rescue their son and Eunseom and Tanya come to their aid and she says she believes in the White Mountain Creed.

Don't blow your cover Eunseon

Episode 3So after his ordeal in the fire he has woken up but in a place where he never expected to be. The previews set it up for us. He has been mistaken for Saya and they have taken him back to the palace in his unconscious state. Sadly though the man who saved them Mubaek has died. Saya has been taken by the Neanthal and Chat Eun and she is trying to save his life because he has separated her and her sister. She doesn’t want him to die he has control over them both..This episode 3 when he meets up with Tanya is so electrifying. He is so magnetic. Even when he doesn't speak each tiny movement of his eyes and his facial muscles convey to us his deep emotional turmoil and his deep affections when meeting up with Tanya after being so long apart. Then when he cries we all cry. Just love it.He’ll have to be very careful now or people will recognise that he is not Saya. Even his walk is different. The Queen is the first to recognise he is not Saya, after all she is the one that brought Saya up.
