Okay, a few years back, I watched a Chinese drama and it left me scarred for life. I have never had luck with Chinese dramas, so I've been keeping my distance from them. I love happy endings and Chinese dramas are notorious for ripping your soul out. Anyway, a few days ago I realized my "currently watching" list was down to one drama and I asked for recommendations.

Someone recommended this and I started watching.

OMG! It's an amazing drama and the rewatch value is EPIC! If you love CRIMINAL MINDS, you will totally love this. And if you love putting clues together to try and guess who the badguy is before the main character, you will TOTALLY love this. I spent most of the time flailing and screaming things like "OMG! DON'T GO IN THERE!" or "RUN!!" or "Okay, she's about to die!"

Wallace Hou is new to me. This is the first drama I'd ever seen him in and his acting is fantastic.

Sandra Ma is also new to me as well but her character Jian Yao aka Yao Yao was amazing. She wasn't at all annoying. That was one of the things I asked for--the female lead could not be one of those whinny annoying types of female. Yao Yao was anything but. Sure, there were times when she was sad or scared but she is what we on this side of the world call a Ride or Die chick. She had a strong backbone.

The bromance between Jin Yan and Zi Yu was everything. It was beautiful to see the build of their relationship. Zi Yu made me smile and my heart broke for him during the hospital scene. I can't remember yelling "RUNNN!" more.

The writing was superb (I can't believe I'm saying this about a Chinese drama) but the ending was amazing--I just enjoyed this so much and would love to have a season two - I hear there is a second book.

The truth is, if you enjoy a good mind-twisting series with romance, a strong and gorgeous male lead, a smart, amazing, strong female lead, a bromance for the ages - you have to watch this.

I'm going to rewatch it with my niece the second we can get together after the pandemic. It deserve a rewatch!

WHERE YOUR EYES LINGER is one of the most beautiful dramas I've seen. And I loved WHY R U and UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. But there is something so real and raw about this one that has my heart. It has received my highest rating thus far. And for this drama to come out of Korea??? I am so proud of S. Korea right now--because this one is a hit.

Everything about this drama was amazing--the writing, the acting, the music, the actors. I believe WHERE YOUR EYES LINGER is a love letter to BL and BL fans everywhere. It is beautifully drafted and you can tell some real thought went into the scenes and the acting.

I am in love with Eui Soo - I barely recognized him from Memorist - but after this I am such a fan! Gi Chan is new to me but I really hope he gets more roles. He was fantastic in this! That scene before Tae Joo went away broke my soul so hard--but I regret nothing!

Over the past few months I have basically given up on BL dramas. But this one has me wondering if I've given up too soon. I was glued to my screen, couldn't stop watching.

I am adding this one to my must rewatch list. You have to watch it!

I'm not going to lie - Max Nattapol - they got me with Max. I am willing to watch anything with him even if he's not the lead. I was watching cuts of Keaton/Simon on youtube and got so frustrated when I couldn't find the actual series anywhere. Then Netflix came through and I took an entire day to binge watch all of it.

It was so well written.

Some of the characters were annoying AF, like Eve and Jen. Jen particularly got on my nerves. She's one of those women that knows a man is gay and still try to force him into being with her. She's the kind of woman that can't take no for an answer.

Let's talk about Keaton aka Nawin and Simon - what a storyline! The emotions and the chemistry were all on point. The anger, the pull and push of falling in love and being afraid to go there again. The tears, the hug, the way Simon looked at Keaton-- all of it had me.

What is is about Max that is so electric seeing him on the screen?

Mednoon played by Godji - this is the first time I'm seeing her, I think. But I am very impressed. Mednoon is the wingwoman we all need. She is the friend I hope everyone deserves.

This drama deserves better. It was well written, the graphics were beautiful, the acting stellar and the music was very well done. I have watched this repeatedly because I'm so afraid Netflix will take it down. I try watching it every chance i get. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely check it out. It's so worth it.

I binged this in one go. I started it and only intended to watch a couple of episodes, then I blinked my entire day was gone. It is well written, the actors were amazing. I laughed. I cried.

So the story is about a detective from the eighties who is after a killer and wound up time traveling through a tunnel to the year 2016. I usually stay away from this kind of drama but someone told me it was better to watch than Signal. I did watch Signal but it has no ending.

Anyway, the storyline was amazing. Even though I guessed who the actual killer was around ep ten. It's still worth the watch.

Jin-Hyuk, I cannot believe I watched this entire thing without recognizing him! I'm a horrible fan girl!!! He was in Rugal which I love!

Hyun-Min is the only reason why I'll be watching MY HOLO LOVE. He is an amazing actor. His emotions were perfect and had me glued to my screen.

This is definitely one I'll be rewatching. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I rarely listen to reviews. I like watching things and making up my own mind.

With that said, I was a HUGE fan of the original Criminal Minds until they began replacing cast members. Then I just stopped watching because after Morgan and Garcia were no longer a thing, what's the point?

What everyone seem to forget is this is a REMAKE. It's not a continuation, it's not a whole new series around the same premise, it's a remake. Another thing people need to appreciate too is that it is fiction. It doesn't have to match culturally with the country it's being made in. It's fiction.

Now, even though I know it is a remake, people has this habit of comparing remakes to the original. That is one of the MAJOR reasons why we can't enjoy remakes because we go in with an expectation rather than taking things on their own merit. At the beginning of watching this, I pushed the original cast out of my mind and hit play.

First of all, if you're looking for romance - not the show.

Now, with that out of the way. The cases they chose from the original to remake are stories that I believe they picked so that he could match with the underlying story they've chosen to add to the series. They also had to ensure the cases are memorable from the original which I believe they did great because I remembered all those cases.

The major case that carried through the entire series was one I binged from the original with Stretch.

The acting was great. The cases had their little Korean writer twists which I appreciated. The music was great, I am happy about that. I don't think I've ever seen Joo Gi in anything before. His face wasn't familiar but he was a great actor. I loved the way the team talked out the cases between each other.

Lee Han - that character reminded me so much of Reed and I adored him fully. Gi Hyung wasn't that great of a leader but I could see this frailty and understand his hesitation. I get him as a character.

Now, what I had issues with.
1. The relationship between the cop and the computer girl - they needed to be closer, not lovers close, but their friendship lacked the kind of love and care I wanted.

2, I didn't like the Sun Moo character. While she lacked empathy and that could be a great character trait, if written well, there was something entirely too cold about her. Even in the end I still couldn't figure out what it was but I felt nothing fr her.

3. The team, though they had drama from the beginning, there isn't the same kind of close-knit kind of deal I wanted. I love a good team tv show and love seeing relationships develop, but this show had none of that.

4. The ending - um....yeah, nope. Nope. Nope.

I agree, the show needs little tweaks here and there but it is not half as bad as everyone is making it out to be, The actors I felt worked very well with what they had and if you put the original CM to the back of your mind and watch these actors for their own merit, you'd actually enjoy this.

I will be adding this to the rewatch list to watch with my niece once this COVID garbage is over.

Maybe it's because I've been stuck in the Thai BL world after Chinese Dramas broke my heart about three years ago, but I've been sleeping on these dramas. This one, the title sounded a little weird but someone recommended it for me and I have to say, great rec.

Over the last week or so, I've been catching up on Korean romance dramas and I have to say I'm in heaven. TOUCH YOUR HEART was so good. It had hints of mystery tossed in for a little fun, romance, sensuality--so good.

The female lead - top notch! Loved her personality. Love her spirit, her swag. She was an airhead but it's the kind that is only an airhead when she has to be but not in ever situation. She was light and loving and kind and all the good things.

The male lead - omg. So handsome, and alpha yet sweet - these are the kind of men I usually aim to write. Lee Dong Wook, I am ashamed to say I didn't recognize him until the last five episode. Now, as punishment (lol) I am going to dig to find other dramas with him because I love him. I'm even going to rewatch Goblin.

The character he plays has this air of innocent masculinity to him--you know, the kind of man we all dream of before the toxicity hits. And Lee Dong Wook was perfect in this. The emotions, and the laughter and the friendships!

Let's talk secondary characters for a bit - Love them all. I felt bad for Doo Sub though. He deserved to be happy too. The way that whole story ended for him broke my heart. I wish so much he could get his happy ending too because he's such a sweetheart.

Okay, the music in this was amazing. I know I heard Chen (from Exo) in there. It was romantic and soothing and all the beautiful things!!

There were a few times it dragged a little. But nothing that can't be overlooked.

If you guys know of anymore dramas like this one, send them my way. I will take all the happy endings!

Watch this and if you've seen it already, watch it again! I've been going through writer's block lately and this helped so much more toward being unblocked.

I went asking for rects like LOVE ME, IF YOU DARE, and someone suggested WHEN A SNAIL FALLS IN LOVE. A few people, actually recommend it. And I have to tell you, I enjoyed this movie. The first episode I had to pause it and look up the cast because the male lead looks familiar. And to my happiness, it was Kai Wang from LOVE ME, IF YOU DARE - I was definitely in.

The premise for the story was amazing. I love a good Criminal Minds-y story. The female lead (Olivia Wang) is the most adorable yet. I love a strong female who seems demure but can outwit and outlast you any day. She was acting even when she was merely looking around the scene being super bad-ass and brainy.

The male lead (Wang Kai) was gorgeous, alpha, super strong. There is something about his character that endeared me to him. Captain Ji always wants to protect Xu Xu but it seems the character knows that sometimes, he just has to sit back and watch her work. He was alpha, but not the crazy kind where he holds her so tightly she loses herself. The times when he gets upset with her--really upset is when she puts herself in unnecessary danger and those are the times when I'm sitting in front of my computer screaming "sis, you could die for this!"

There are a couple of points in the show that I thought could have been taken out, or worked out a little better. The random trip about money to Myanmar was a little rushed for me - I see where it was necessary and the ending was filmed a little weird (it's a good ending, trust me) but I still enjoyed it.

let's talk about Ding Mo for a second. I've seen two dramas in which she has some part in. And it seems she has a way of writing her men to be respectful to their women--she writes them that they want to protect their women from everything--all the evils in the world, but knows they cant. They know they must equip her with the knowledge to keep themselves alive until help can get there. And I'm down for that.

Anyway, watch this Drama. If you loved LOVE ME, IF YOU DARE, you'll totally love this one too.

When I first began seeing the poster for this BL, I wasn't going to watch it. First of all it's Japanese and after my run in with those dramas, I was left feeling chaotic. The sounds were always--and the overacting always got on my nerves. But as hard as I tried ignoring it, the more it kept floating across my feed. It came across my feeds so many times, I eventually added it to my "To watch list" hoping it woudl go away. A friend suggested i gave it a go and I'm so glad i did. I'm usually not a huge fan of coming of age stories but this one was so lovely. The acting and the scenery and the emotions were all amazing.

I also enjoyed the silences. I know this may not make much sense to some people reading this. Let me explain - Most people believe there must be dialogue or action in every second of a show...no, i believe there needs to be moments when characters are left to merely exhale and come back to themselves. I believe, they need that calm from the chaos that is their lives, breathing room.

I enjoyed this and would definitely recommend

Don't do it- it's a trap!

I tried. I really did, but i just couldn't.

I font understand the high ratings this has.

The intro song and the ending song ans images were nice but other than that, go watch Love 020.

The lead Male isn't an alpha he's a bully. And trust me, as a romance author, I know alphas. Go over there. Come here. Do this. Do that. Get me this. separate my vegetables. Give me your blood. Ugh, I wanted to hit him with a car!

The lead female-- Jesus, where do I even start?

She's a whinny airhead who's as dumb as a box of rocks. And if I hear one more inner dialogue, I'm goin stabby.

She' completely clueless and if she was a real person, someone would hit her with a shovel. There's naive but she was so childish.

The secondary characters were good but not too strong to save this.

Don't waste your time.

Okay, so this review must be 500 words or more. I can't just write "There's time of my life I'll never get back" and leave it at that, so here goes.

I see all the high ratings and the rave reviews this season as well as season one has and I'm honestly confused by it all. Sure, it had such potential, but this show went off the rails since season one. The acting is stiff, the characters has no chemistry and nothing really worked.

Sometimes you need to burn the house down and start again with a fresh foundation.

This was one of those moments - they needed to do what 2Moons did - recast the entire damn thing, hire new writers and start fresh - but instead, they built a new house on the same shaky foundation.

I'm not entirely sure what I expected. I strongly disliked the first season and couldn't believe they'd spend money on making a second season. I am not sure why I even watched this. I supposed I was hoping it would be better. Or maybe I wanted to see what fresh hell they were unleashing on their fans this time - I don't know.

Either way I watched.

First of all, these grown folks are using a card came to steer their lives. Okay, fine, its a game and there are rules, but a bunch of people in this so call game was taking it WAY to seriously. They legit use this game to tell them what path to take or to have someone else do something they probably don't feel right about.

Secondly, every single character in this show are horrible human beings. Every single one of them deserve to be miserable.

I can't...I honestly can't.

When I first heard this drama was going to be made into a series, I was excited. I'm always excited about a new BL. Then I saw that the first book was only going to be 4 episodes and my red flag went up.

The first episode of this, I had no idea how to feel. I was a little put off by Gun and wanted to slap Bar so hard his grand-kids would feel it. I always like to give a show (no matter the language) at least three episodes to decide if I'm going to continue or drop. Since this one only had four episodes, I continued.

Let me explain - Lets begin with the casting. Honestly, they could have done better. Win (Gun) and Folk (Bar) are good-looking but they had ZERO chemistry. Folk had this annoyed look like he didn't want to be there, almost dead behind the eyes. I know, some of the times he was supposed to be annoyed but he had the same facial expression throughout the entire thing. Win, he looked like a completely different person than the poster which is weird in itself but he was just stiff.

Then we get to the actual characters.

Gun seems like a nice enough guy. And maybe it's because the courting customs on my side of the world is different, but he was a bit stalker-ie. It feels like everywhere Bar was, Gun would show up, being all weird and creepy. I don't know if the first book was long or short, but this drama should have been more than 4 eps if they wanted it to be meaningful.

Bar on the other hand just seem as if he caved and started liking Gun because Gun wouldn't just go away.

Watching this bl was cringie the entire time. It ended and I quiet honestly am not sure what that was. I love BL with happy endings and this had one, so I supposed that was something.

It had moments of light, but I just--I'm still staring at the poster thinking "WTF?"

Where do I even begin with how much I love this drama?

Apparently, it's a remake of a drama that was made in about 2003 with a similar name so try not mixing them up. I know I did lol.

Anyway....

I'm reading the premise and thought - this can't be all that good. I'm woman enough to admit when I'm wrong and I WAS WRONG!

I have no idea who any of these actors were before this drama. The acting was amazing. The story and premise were dope. The kisses were fire.

I love an alpha male--but not the kind who are bullies. People tend to mix the two up these days. You can tell he Jae In wants to protect DaDa and he isn't quite sure without being an ass about it. It was hilarious and beautiful.

The female lead is the kind of lead I live for--strong, smart, pretty, feisty. She wasn't whiny or cried over every little thing. She's respectful but isn't a pushover. At one point I thought she was going to fall off that pedestal I had her on, but my girl DaDa held firm.

The interactions between both leads from the first time they met was everything! I found myself screaming at the screen!

I laughed. I cried. I cheered. I scream "that's my girl!"

There were a couple of things that didn't sit right with me - I wanted to see Joo Hee go to prison and become someone's b*tch because I'm evil like that but she's on my list for what she did. The look on Jae In's face when he found out who did that to Dada--he was about to burn someone's world to the ground and I was there for it.

And that scene afterward when she storms in and was told she needed an appointment? OMG! I thought her head would have exploded and I would have been there for it.

The secondary characters were on point except Jae In's sister was a tad weird. She popped up a few times. I suppose she was one of those throwaway characters - not sure. She didn't give me much of anything and didn't really give anything to the storyline.

The rewatch on this is off the scale!! I'll be rewatching it sometime down the road when my muse gives out on me again. I love this drama - trust me, it's amazing.

Okay, I usually give a drama at least three episodes to disappoint me or to get it together. But I can't get through the first ep of this.

Yes, I'm aware its fiction. Trust me I get it. But I didn't buy this mess of a premise in suicide squad, and I surely didn't buy it now.

You want us to believe, any legal system in any country, will put together a hitman, a SERIAL KILLER who scores 38 out of 40 on the damn-you're-nuts scale plus a gangster who took 25 days to take over a country together to solve crime? NO ONE WOULD AGREE TO THIS! Fiction or no! The risks are far greater than the reward!

Okay, whatever. But then you want us to suspend our disbelief that a gangster with THAT much power couldn't get out of prison and a hitman they couldn't catch - who only got caught because he walked into the police station covered in blood to give himself up....

(Sigh) nah - you're asking too much.

The first few minutes of this drama was a waste of film and a complete joke...

I can't. Maybe one day I'll try it again but nope nope nope. I clicked on it because of Dong Hyuk Jo but not even he could save this mess.
