Nothing lifts the heartbeat better than a revange goals
Song Hye Kyo (as Moon Dong Eun) and Im Ji Yeon (as Park Yeon Jin) were beyond amazing. The way they conveyed the relationship between their characters, the emotions swirling inside and the madness in their eyes was all unforgetable. I already knew in Descendands of the Sun that Song Hye Kyo is a very good actress, but here ... paired with Im Ji Yeon, she is untamed π She bloomed like a flower.I don't know if I've ever seen such a well-created evil female character. I'm not just talking about Korean productions, but generally everything I've ever seen. Im Ji Yeon seems to have played role of her life as she was flawless from start to finish. π But praise should also go to the young actresses that playes teenage versions of main characters Shin Ye Eun as young Yeon Jin and Jung Ji So as young Dong Eun. They gave character and dynamics to the relationship of the main characters.
Moving on to other perturbators. Each of them contributed to the destruction of the life of the main character and several other girls from high school *********** SPOILER *********** and I will reveal that each of them received the punishment they deserved.*********** END OF SPOILER *********** When it comes to their acting, they also did well because you hate them from the beginning of the series to the very end without a moment's hesitation π
I don't know what else I could say about the series without revealing its content .... It's brilliant and that's probably the only thing that matters before you start watching it π

Venus is the boss <3
The love story between the trainer and his mentee begins somewhere during training sessions and coincidental meetings in private time. The scenes with the main characters are cute but not overly too sweet. The focues very much on Kang's obesity and the diseases it caused, as well as on Kim's continued recovery from childhood trauma. Both characters show that you must fight for health and not give up. I felt in love with them becuae of that. Their stubbornness, openness and determination could convince many to exercise - they did convince me!π - but not necessarily the sterile and tasteless diet that John Kim follows πAll the supporting characters, Jang Joon-sung, Kim Ji-woong, Oh Soo-jin and Im Woo-shik, are very diverse and bring freshness to the show and make it more multi-dimensional. They refer to the problems of violence, the happiness that can be achieved in meeting the right people and brotherly love.
The series is not perfect. A few stories could be better presented or explained in more depth like the backgroung of Kim Ji-Woong which remains the great unknown. Despite those flaws, this kdrama is very pleasant and positive to watch! π

Good story, good actors, great show
I got totally lost in the first seaso and couldn't take my eyes off it. So when I found out there was a second season, I had to see it. I like how small changes in the story can affect the story of one couple but still have a similar end result aka love. Not many Chinese dramas have only 16 episodes and so well done. I totally recommend watching both season!Personally, I couldn't miss the opportunity to see male and female lead again because they are heavenly beautiful and look great together. I would love to see other dramas where they star as they are both great actors.

Really well-intended love story
Great love story, thoughtful plot, vigorous development, good actors, unexpected twists, dozens of clifhangers .... everything was really well thought.... or maybe let's say well-intended ππThe way the male lead seduced the female lead was not very moral and positive, but luckily he did it out of love π¬π In the real world, this situation would probably not have such an ending, but in the world of drama, everything fits together. As for the characters themselves, both are very well played. Personally, I wouldn't get along with a male lead, but for that smile I could try to be better π¬π

Princess should have better male lead next her
Oh Yeon Seo created a wonderful character and just like in Korean Odyssey I couldn't take my eyes off her. She is not only beautiful but also talented ππ Princess Hye Myung was amazing with questioning rules and discarding marriage arrangements. I adored how much she wanted to study medicine. Although at first the character may seem insufferable, irritating and unpleasant, it quickly changes. The more you learn about the princess' story and dig in way of thinking, the more you fall in love with her π I love when fictional characters are multidimensional and, just like a human being, they not only change under the influence of time and people, but also gain when you get to know them better πI like a lot the overall idea of the story - two characters who don't get along but find love later on. However the chemistry between the leads was a bit off π Chemistry per se was there, or at least in the romantic tension form, but I couldn't feel the love between the characters. The fact that they would end up as a married couple filled me with doubt π¬ Hye Myung and Gyeon Woo are nice as a couple but not married one. If she was to marry someone, I suggest Eternal Monarch Lee Gon. Not only would they look gorgeous together, his woman on that show is mediocare & lame and he should be with someone better π

K-drama classic
The description is one thing, but what happens after Tan comes to his family home and re-enters high school's walls is a total social avalanche & disruption. There was planty of secondary characters and my favourite are Lee Bo-Na and Choi Young-Do. I like how she evolved from spoiled CEO daughter to Eun Sang almost friend. While Choi Young-Do got me with his character change when he is with Eun Sang. The combination of his frustration and short-temper took a big role in harassing others but with her he is a teddy bear. His father, Choi Dong-wook is mercilessly strict and physically abusive towards him. Choi Young-Dois a complicated character who fights with whole world throughout the drama. It is interesting to watch him change.I went into this drama without big expectations and what I imagined - I got. It is a good drama with good actors that are on screens till now. I give it 6/10.... or maybe I could strech it to 6,5/10 because plot wasn't too complicated and I liked how the characters were diversed.

Cinderella didn't choose the best guy this time
I love all Cinderella movies and every possible version of it, so when this title appeared in the suggestions on my Netflix, I couldn't resist! It took me 5 days to see the whole thing and it was a beautiful week.Female lead is independent and does not give a shit. It was very refreshing point of view on Cinderella. Also this type of female character seems to be quite rare in k-drama and Ha-Won stands out π πͺ She is strong mentally and with her body π I liked from the first moments of the drama and didn't lose it even when she was a bit annoying by the end of the drama. I found an comment calling her situation a "reversed harem" and that was so accurate!
Sweet chemistry between the leads was inevitable as they had many cute moments. But because the sentance that was the most often said between these two was not "I love you" but "fuck off" ππ makes their love story funny. Seo-Woo is one of my most liked characters as he has his own life and is not unneccesarily mean to others but his carees is just thrown onto spectators and never explained how, what and why. I personally think that he would be a better partner for Cinderella.
Big minus - Cinderella is surounded with Four Knights only in a theory. She lives with 3 of them and fourth (?) is coming and going and we also know shit about him. The title completly doesn't corespod with that is actually going on in the drama.
Maybe drama has a few shortcomings but fortunately the drama is well put together so they are not bothersome. Personally, I liked the drama because it is a fresh look at the Cinderella story and I would rate the series 6/10 - it's not over the top but also not boring ππ It has a good balance.
Till this day I have never even thought of searching for the soundtrack of a drama. Even though I loved many song in various productions, I had never downloaded it but "For You" from BTOB and "I Believe" of Younha had to be the exceptions. Those songs are so fantastic that I had to have them on my good-morning playlist.

Ji Chang Wook & Nam Ji Hyun is all I nee <3
Drama was my top for quite a while as the storyline is intriguing right from the start and cast is really well chosen. The chemisty undeniable between the leads is a giant plus! Good combination of seriousnes and cuteness made it super pleasant to watch. The main couple has amazing chemistry, which contributed to the great reception of their romance. Nam Ji-Hyun's previous romance with D.O. it was rather weak so it's a very nice change. Contrary to the chemistry, her performance in "Suspicious Partner" was a few percent worse than in "100 Days My Prince". I don't know if it's the role that she didn't fit here or I didn't understand something about her character. Her frequent naivety and clueless was quite annoying, but fortunately didn't ruin the overall of the drama. I totally loved her in the previous drama Nam Ji-Hyun but here she was just good. When it comes to Ji Chang Wook he is such a good actor and he played his role with a heart. Definately there two together made a great show and gave their 110% to create Bong Hee and Ji Wook π
I very much liked the story and the crime mystery. I can't agree with comments about predictability of the drama. The final reveal of the murderer and his story was very interesting and unique. This is not a drama that will give you a heart attack with its twists and turns, but it will certainly make the time spent on the couch worth sitting.

Short but sweet
Interesting story, good actors - perfect for relaxing after work or during boring university lectures. I really liked how opposite characters found their common language. Cold Dan Te and passionate Yeon Hwa had an interesting chemistry between each other and I'm struggiling to chose with which lady Sung Hoon looks better with ππ Lee Yoo Mi from My Secret Romance or Yeon Hwa.... Hard choice.I wonder if adding a few more episodes and expanding the last 2 wouldn't improve the drama. As first 9-10 episodes are great with pace and story development, last 2 (or maybe even 3 episodes) are running so fast that you can't catch a breath. I'm not saying that the drama is bad, no no no, it's good but the pace pulled it downπ
When it comes to the story itself, it's unique and I will definately recommend watching Level up! It's a good piece that just missed it's opportunity for better story closure. In overall I would rate "Level up!" with a good 6/10. There were a planty of fun characters, like Dan Te's brother or his co-worker which will make you burst in laughter. Also there is a nice chemistry between the lead that makes the story line go naturally. Anyway .... Sung Hoon is all I need π

Get yourself a comfy seat as this will a loooong journey
Half a year ago I was watching "The sword and the brocade" as my second chinese costium drama. After the trauma from "Oh My Emperor!" I didn't expect to go into the chinese period piece once again, but here I am!" The Glamorous Imperial Concubine" is my next take and I was happy to watch it. Drama was definately more complicated than the previuos one πIt started out quite typical - royal family, happy princess that hates rules who finds a man that also hates it and wants to marry her badly. Then the tragedy happends ....
It makes princess to enter real-life and story becomes more serious and tense. She meets Meng Qiyou who needs someone to help him in his kingdom. That requires Ma Fuya to become seductive π and fierce. The preparations and first days in the Shu kingdom are interesting and you think that it will stay like it till the end... Not really.... π©Somewhere around episode 30 we have sudden drop. No fun, no drama, no excitement anymore. Its just death after tragedy after death... boooooo
Unfortunately "The Glamorous Concubine" is an example of overly streched drama with too many side characters. It's a pity because the story was interesting and they could have make an amazing drama out of it. Acting was really good, the raw plot had a lot of potential, they had outstanding outfits, superb locations but it all went to s*** with too many side characters and stories and too few logical connections. They had so much to make this drama epic but didn't use much of it. I'm looking forward to see Ruby Lin (Ma Fuya), Yan Yikuan (Meng Qiyou), Wallace Huo (Liu Lian Cheng) and Jennifer Hung (Ma Xiangyun) in other shows as I find them as good actors π
As a whole drama is not bad but I cannot rate otherwise as 5,5/10 as its far too complicated with billion background stories. It is even hard to say what I liked .... There was too much happening and I have one big chaos in my head.

Not exactly my cup of tea
I wasn't sure if Korean musical will be my thing but I liked it. It was really nice! I will still prefer traditional dramas than sung ones but nonetheless the story was good and visuals were more than amazing! As first episode nicely hooked me, the further I went, the less focused I was. I don't know why becaus as mentioned above actors play was superb, visuals totally incredible and story sole. Everything was in its place - mysterious characters, their stories, development, fantastic music in the background .... almost gives a Disney vibes. But for me something was missing. I agree with the words of one of the reviewers here "Probably not all will find this show to be sane or worthy of a serious watch" and I think I am the one.
Regardless of the fact that I wasn't completely swallowed in this series and that it had several unfinished side stories, watching it was a great entertainment π Sound of Magic is an outstanding drama combining fantasy and reality in a very sophisticated way. The darkness of the plot and harshness of reality is sweetened by the developing relationships, redemption and magic. Basicaly its a story of 3 broken people that tries to move on and accept their position with help of magic π« Because who doesn't wish for some magic in their lives?

Drama like a fine wine
Till today's day I still wasn't sure if I really liked "Do You Like Brahms?" or not π For a long time I was torn as drama wasn't complicated but was a bit slow, had some deepness but also didn't have anything that would blow your mind. But! What it had was THE LEADS and they are the reason why you should watch it. Song Ah & Joon Young are the most unique leads I have everrrrrr seenπThe hard road to reach one's dream is nothing new in terms of plot but what I like in "Do You Like Brahms?" is that they didn't make it into sweet romance drama. It realistic. It shows real hardship with only occasionally poppning subtle and delicate love momentsπ Drama shows that thing that for some is a dream for others is torment or just simple means of earning.
"Do You Like Brahms?" rating is for the actors because they are excelent β As for the leads, Song Ah and Joon Young are the purest, lovliest and the most awkward couple I have ever seen π For the first 3-4 episodes, my brain was fighting with my heart about whether they should be together or not. In my head two introverts together were a recipe for suicide but heart kept saying "these two here absolutely belong together". Heart won, leads were made for each otherπ and were gettinh the best out of each other.
I know Kim Min Jae only from one role - Lee Se Joo from "Tempted". He caught my eye with his acting and I was sooo cheering for him to have a happy ending. No matter the character, crazy or calm, introvert of extravert, he gives his all and sinks into the role. I am stunned by his versatile acting skills and curious about his next roles because he seems to be a really good actor π
Story of Joon Young is interesting but Song Ah takes my whole admiration. Her approach to playing the violin is literally insane because she knows it will be hards, she knows that she is not the best, she knows that she has a lot to learn and she also knows that her dream might be destroyed any second .... nonetheless she goes for it.
This is one of a few love stories with depth and where characters are developing their emotions in realistic tempo. surprosed me on many levels and leveled up its score from 4,5 to 6,5/10 π²

Secondary couple has much better story
Love with flaws is nice as soon as you pass episode 7.... Unfortunately producers took too much of their sweet time to develop the story and drama came up to be dull. I'm sorry but I had to fastforward 6 episodes. To be honest, if not the leads, Oh Yeon-seo and Ahn Jae-hyun, I wouldn't even bother to do this as my rule says "3 first episodes make the waching". I'm thrilled that it changed because I liked both leads in other dramas - Korean Odyssey & Cinderella and four knights.I think that this is the first drama where I was 10 times more rooting for the secondary couple than for the leads. The story of Min Wook-Hyuk (Joo Won-Jae, oldest brother of Seo-Yeon) and Hwang Woo Seul Hye (older sister of Kang-Woo) had so much more to say that I would appreciate to see them as lead in other drama.... MBC how about the spin-off ?! ππ Also the stories of side characters are very interesting and I think the best ones are of weird Baek Jang Mi π (Shin Do Hyun) and the second older brother of Seo-Yeon - Joo Won Suk's (Cha In-Ha).
The drama had much more interesting side characters than the main ones, which made the series not well balanced. There was more of what was uninteresting than what I wanted to see..... boooooooo!!

Never again interview drama. It was baaaaaad
YES I MADE IT! I made my husband to watch the k-drama with me π pity that the drama was not so good as I was hoping for. There was so much hype in the Internet about Love struck in the city but now as I saw it, I can't imagine why.Drama is pretty chaotic and basicaly boring. The last episode is pulled from outer space and doesn't fit in with the rest of the show. π I was really dissapointed in my choice because it took me quite a long time to convince my husband to see any Korean drama with me and when he finally decided to enter my world, this happens. I thought (and hoped) Love struck in the city will be something interesting to see .... π Little did I know ....
My main problem with the drama were the script. I totally hate how they executed it. The storyline was bearly progressing and it was tiring to go constantly back and forth with their history π€ Jae Won and Eun O were the main characters but their story could have been said in maybe 6-8 episodes. All the rest should have been given to other 2 couples: Choi Kyeong-Jun & Suh Rin-I and Oh Seon-Yeong & Kang Geon.
The second problem was the characters. They drove me nuts! π΅ Jae Won spent most the drama as a complete mess and lunatic with alcohol problem. Eun O knew what to do but still she didn't do anything. These two dragged the show on forever with their complaining, and as much as I like Ji Chang-Wok as an actor, this show with him is BAD π₯ Rin Yi's character wasn't developed enough but the way they created her was odd. Gyung Joon was so blindly in love her that wasn't much supportive. Sun Young was my favourite character, she was purely searching for love and acceptance but in the same time was petrified of being hurt.
Third problem, and for me the biggest, the interview format. I don't know who thought that this format of drama would be something cool π This is a fairly short review for a 17 episode drama which I did not like. Engaging synopsis fast changes into weird drama to which you gradually lose interest in π Unfortunately, I can't recommend it to you because you will die of boredom.

Rainbow puke
This drama is so mellow and neutral that I totally forgot what was it about in 2-3 days π I don't thing that this was the producers goal. I will try my best not to ruin this show because none of my memories indicate that it was bad. Although the fact that I completely forgot what the series was about when I started to watch another one proves that it wasn't THE BEST.When I see a trailer is only recall flat characters and a weak storyline that made me to give it streched 4,5/10 . Dramas in my opinion should be more memorable. "My Rational Life" which I was watching just after fully overshadowed it.
Only thing that stands out in my head about this drama was childlish female lead! π Apart from that "Hello! My Gu!" was a oversweetened series where problems are as flat as table. Thanks to browsing the gallery on MDL my memory is refreshed and I remembered that the last episodes were so packed with lovey-dovey scenes that it was hard to finish it.
One thing about dramas in the concept of "me and my CEO" is constant - regardless of whether it is a Chinese or Korean production, there is always a successful woman around the CEO who wants him to herown and the new shy unknown girls that caught director's eye is extremely hindering her in achieving her goal. Here her name is Jiang Jing Xuan and she was well played and actually was hoping she will end up with Mr. Gu instead. Oh well... she picked a baby ... π¬
