Needs better OST and Editing to Convey the Story.
ML and FL have good chemistry and communication. The OST doesn't really set the tone. The editing is so choppy that it makes it a chore to binge watch or enjoy the dynamics of the story. I like the story. It is good to see the other side of power and sexuality and trying to survive from a male POV. I understand overbearing guardians, but writers sometime overdue this concept which drains the interests of the story. Respect is one thing, but that does not mean control. The growth and dynamics within the relationship between the ML and FL was worth finishing the series. Overall, with better editing, OST the rating probably would be higher. Was this review helpful to you?
Love Endures ... and Yet
This series had a lot of heartwarming moments. But it also had a lot of filler scenes that made a very touching and thought-provoking drama more tiring and exhausting. The FL and ML chemistry was touch and go. Yet their commitment to the greater purpose was solid. THE OST was sweet. Yet, the storyline missed steps in keeping the audience engaged past the original plot. Alot of the sub plot and relationship scenarios started to become more distracting than plot driven. It seemed as if the writers took notice in the last episodes and started to bring things together in a smoother way. All in all, this series focuses on an unconditional love in the face of adversity fueling hope for a brighter tomorrow. Was this review helpful to you?
My Nemesis My Need
'From being a nemesis to someone one needs' is closer to a correct title and feel of this miniseries. The diligence to find answers that lead to a healing love that no one expected was interesting. The supporting cast creating a maze of aligning confirmations kept you guessing who is hiding the bigger secret. The chemistry between the leads was hot and undeniable. The business dealings turned subplot was touch and go but landed in the end. There are parts that are sparse and rushed, but overall, this is a solid miniseries. Was this review helpful to you?
Could be Called My Fated Truth
Where truth meets intuition. Where humility bypasses pride. There was such an ebb and flow of good verses bad. The series looked more into people's environment and influences than necessarily a love connection. Glad that the writers didn't make the 'gift' cliche' or cheesy. You could see the trial and error of assumptions gifted or not and where it can lead. However, the growth in the ML's character was well done. The FL held her own in displaying maturity in the face of adversity, possible criticism and personal beliefs. The ML and FL chemistry and connection was endearing. This series had a nice flow and build up to the overall 'Why' element. Worth the watch. Was this review helpful to you?
Remain Mature as You Make It!
This grown and sexy career climbing series gives the challenges and thrills of it all. Vanity is shallow. And those with substance win in the end. The dating dilemma turn real revelations into unknown realities that set the tone for deeper connections. The way this series dealt with possessive and controlling behaviors was well done. The ML and FL chemistry was palpable, supportive and warm. Navigating challenges and inner insecurities can be quite tricky. Yet, the leads showed just how much communication is key. This series does not drag and does not have time to fluff. It sets the tone for what's real and what's a want. Very well-done cast and crew in producing and mature production that gives insight on what could be if passions, purpose and persistence to remain authentic collide. Must Watch! Was this review helpful to you?
Great MINI. Solid Must Watch!
Enjoyed the varied layers within the storyline. This was very good for a miniseries. The ML and FL were dynamic in conveying all the twists and turns within the script. Their chemistry was magic. The OST and production stayed true in setting the tone without becoming cheesy or distracting. The villain aspect was tightly executed which made the overcoming aspect of the leads endearing. I have seen both leads in other miniseries. They both are strong and deserve lead opportunities in main broadcasts. Both are very talented and worth the watch. This is series has a cute storyline that doesn't go overboard with side couples, unnecessary incidents or conversations. Much appreciated. The cast and crew delivered. MUST WATCH!Was this review helpful to you?
Decent Mini
This started off strong for a mini. However, the character development is lacking. The ML shows range in his acting. Some scenes leave too much open to be assumed. I guess that is for 'shock' factor in the end. However, these grown people need to learn how to communicate than allow more and more things to fester. This becomes tiring. The OST and production were pretty good for a mini. This caring 'loving' someone to the point of hurting them and not effectively talking is overdone. The ending is very rushed and ended like a high school play. Almost laughable. But I guess we as the audience should 'assume' all is well, they are back together and the end. SMH. Watch it if you don't want to take anything too serious. Was this review helpful to you?
Must See Mini
This is a Mini ROMCOM that is worth the watch. ML and FL are adorable. The support cast and OST are good as well. The twists were interesting, but I am so glad that the resolution didn't linger long. The trauma effect with both the ML and FL were both believable and kept you wanting to find out what really happened. The love story between the FL and ML didn't feel forced. It was actually charming and cute. The rain scene definitely tugs on your heart. Even though they both are young, neither played clueless. This is definitely a must watch. I look forward to seeing both leads in other series. Was this review helpful to you?
Sexy Mature Relationship
Very well done. This was a fun series that had its twists and turns. The different art curator/k-pop fan element. felt fresh. Both ML (Kim Jae Wook) and FL (Park Min-Young) did a very good job in feeling relatable and believable within various situations. The roller-coaster of emotions with this series just kept coming. However, I must admit that they did not feel forced. You could see and feel the natural progression with the ML and FL and it made you root for them all the way through. The supporting cast was very good, and I appreciate that their storylines did not override the main. OST was memorable. This is worth the rewatch! Was this review helpful to you?
Very Cute Mini Series
I actually like this series and the concept behind it. It felt fresh. I have seen many cliches, but this was a bit different and held my interest. I will admit that the FL almost made me stop watching. Her over acting in a situation that is way better than the one she was previously in was over kill. The ML saved it for me. The OST was literally laughable to nonexistent. The production looked more like an independent film, yet it still kept its charm. With some tweaking and a completely different rework of sound production/OST the rating would have been higher. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute Storyline with misplaced scenes
This is a cute drama. The cliche's have been done time and time again, however, it was done well. The cast was solid. Commnication issues between the ML and FL became tiresome after a bit. However, there were scenes and situations that seemed to either repeat themselves or seem like fillers. This could have been a solid rewatch drama if some of the 'extra; scenes were cut. After reviewing a lot of dramas, the layout and pace of this drama makes sense once consideration is taken as to when it was produced. Overall, it is a good weekend watch, if you don't take it too seriously. Was this review helpful to you?
When ART calls the HEART responds
A beautifully creative drama that displays the artistry of voice, music, composer influence and lyric impression all in one. It shows how you would never know what one does behind the scenes to fuel their passions and how that fuel can ignite and inspire others. The romance factor (all of them) were slow-burn connections that displayed patience and understanding of one's interest and individual attitude. The beauty of the relationships through career, fans and personal attachments were heartfelt and endearing. The chemistry between the leads was a respectful ebb and flow of growth and intimacy that was palpable throughout. The OST was brilliant and memorable. This is a light and loving joyride into the lives of voice actors and all that are connected to them through art. A TIMELESS MUST WATCH!Was this review helpful to you?
KING the ROM-COM for 2023!
There is so much to say about this drama. But the most important one is I love how this 'CEO type' male lead was written and played. Lee Jun Ho delivered all we need to know on why he is an actor to watch! Im Yoon Ah was awesome in delivering a strong woman who is determined to bring her best wherever she is placed and shines. The cast and crew were magic in weaving the challenges, twists and turns of emotion throughout. The chemistry between the leads was bananas. If you think of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin's chemistry... Take it up a notch... Yep! The communication between the leads to avoid misunderstandings to fester was well appreciated. The way the ML did not shrink to power or influence when it came to his dedication to self and 'the one' he loves was admirable. The comradery between the ML and his associate played by Ahn Se Ha was truly enjoyable. I haven't seen such a well=played connection since 'Business Proposal' and 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim'. The production and OST were perfect in driving it all together. The love connection felt relatable and real. Beautifully done. This is a MUST WATCH!!Was this review helpful to you?
Love Against the Grain
Production, Acting, Storyline and Cinematic direction was very good. This series was beautifully done in merging the understanding and challenges of worlds, class, status and abilities all in one. The chemistry between the leads was heart tugging at times, yet drew you into the pace and intention of the drama. The OST was good. However, the cinematic attention to detail is really what makes this story shine. The leads were very good in handling and conveying the dynamics of conflict, challenge, compassion and change towards one another. The plot and subplots of trials and challenges didnt feel forced or unrealistic. The storyline had times were it felt as if it may drag a bit. Nevertheless, it didn't veer off too far where it would take away interest. The was definitely worth the watch! Was this review helpful to you?
Not a fan
I passed over this series several times before watching. After reading a few reviews and seeing that the ratings were decent, I figured that I would give it a try. It started off cute and then I just wanted to throw something at the screen. The FL character development was nearly non-existent. The chemistry between the ML and FL was a stretch which made the depth of the 'love factor' more trying than endearing. I have seen ML (Nam Joo Hyuk) in different series, and he really needs better scripts. The concept of the script was good. However, so much of character development was lacking. Also, the hole in the script still remains in the end about the child. The series was too tiring to have you still guessing in the end. All in all, once it ended, I was more relieved than fulfilled. I would not recommend nor rewatch. Was this review helpful to you?
