Another Gem from the one and only JAPAN!
First off. For those of you who are weary about watching this, because it looks sad, well it is sad. If your heart can handle it, then I highly recommend this drama series. It’s a beautiful story and probably one of the best Japanese BLs and in general, BLs of this year. Acting and chemistry was on point and there were no evil or bad characters. Inoue Sora as Oumi Mitsuru and Komiya Rio as Yamada Koichi were the perfect pairing. The osts are very catchy and fit perfectly with the theme of the drama. I actually listen to them daily. One of the reasons why I enjoy watching dramas is because I get to discover new artists through the ost of the dramas. Anyways, highly highly recommend this series if you can handle sad endings. I will gladly rewatch this series in the future, despite it being a sad one. It’s the perfect drama to get me into the feels. Was this review helpful to you?

Minato’s Laundromat is a Hidden Gem!
Let me say firstly that I don’t know why people rate dramas when they are still ongoing. I don’t think it’s fair to rate a drama low or whatever when it’s still ongoing. As you don’t know the entire story and plot yet.Moving that all aside, this was a wonderful series! One of my top BLs of 2022 definitely! Will definitely rewatch this in the near future and I encourage everyone to give this drama a chance! Don’t let the age gap turn you away because you are missing out on a wonderful drama series that also teaches you life lessons. Kusakawa Takuya as Minato Akira and Nishigaki Sho as Katsuki Shintaro were wonderful characters! As were everyone else, Asuka, Sakurako, Shuu-sensei, and Sakuma-sensei. I wish there was a season 2 for this series! I will continue to support the cast and I applaud everyone for their hard work! .皆様、お疲れ様でした!そして、有難う御座いました!よく頑張りました!

Loved this movie
This movie hit me differently. While I watched it mainly for the BL aspect and because of Yuki Furukawa, I really loved the family centered plot line. While the beginning started off a little slow, I felt that I could really connect with both characters on a personal level. I could feel the sincerity in the feelings and emotions. And also as someone who was also adopted from Japan, this movie I felt like I could really connect to it. When Mitsuomi said, “the first present your parents give you is your first name,” I really felt that. It touched my heart. Yeah, life isn’t easy, especially for someone who is adopted who has no recollection of their birth parents and no solid information to go on either. However, we must always remember that life is what we make out of it. I highly recommend this film if you like BL, but even if you don’t like BL, I still recommend it. It’s a very good drama that just makes you feel good. Definitely a drama that I will have no problem watching over and over again. Was this review helpful to you?

Thailand really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one!
First off, this was an amazing series. From the music to the deep meaning of each song too. Absolutely beautiful with multiple couples. No evil characters and just really innocent high school love. I was a little skeptical at first of Tinn’s mother because she seemed like she was the type of mother that didn’t want to lose “face”, but I was proven wrong thankfully. My School President is in my top 5 BL list of all time! The story was simple and cute and the characters were just so love able. Fourth and Gemini did an amazing job as Gun and Tinn as did the rest of the cast. For new actors, you couldn’t even tell that they were new. It was just natural. They really performed like seasoned actors. I am looking to see more of these actors in the future! This was a series that really just captured my heart. To describe it as “amazing” doesn’t even do it justice. I will definitely rewatch this series again in the future! Absolutely, 1000/10 for me! Thailand, you have a real DIAMOND of a series with this one! Well done! If you haven’t done so already, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch this drama series!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Taiwan does it AGAIN!
I loved this series so much! I want a season two with AJ/Alex and Big A/Mr. Chi! I also want to see Bai Lang and Xun An’s wedding! I will miss the cast. I hope to see them again in the future. Bai Lang and Xun An had so much character development, but especially Bai Lang. I will be watching this again in the future very soon! If you are hesitant about watching this series, don’t hesitate! Watch it! It has the same director as We Best Love and a few familiar faces. Can never go wrong with Taiwanese BLs in the first place and yes, it is a happy ending. Was this review helpful to you?
Another great BL from Japan!
First off. Japan, you are on a roll this year with BLs! This was your typical Japanese high school love BL drama, but it was a very lovable series nonetheless. The acting was very good and entertaining. I will miss all the actors. The first episode was very confusing and the plot seemed like it was all over the place. However once the episodes started rolling on, it became more clear and turned out to be a very good story. This is a very easy show to digest and doesn’t require a lot of thinking to understand. There are no evil characters or unnecessary drama so to speak. Honestly out of all of the BLs that I’ve watched, and I’ve watched a lot, this one had one of the healthiest relationships. There was COMMUNICATION! So often in BL dramas, there’s NO COMMUNICATION and so it leads to unnecessary drama and chaos, but not so in this one. I would definitely recommend this series if you like an easy going series full of fluff and cuteness. Keep it up Japan, you are killing it this year with BL dramas! 😊Was this review helpful to you?

僕らの食卓、最高過ぎる!Our Dining Table, Absolutely Amazing!
An amazing story and series! Highly highly recommend it! Yutaka (Yukata), Minoru, Tane, and the father were amazing! Even Yutaka’s adopted family were not as bad as they were made out to be. This was such a heart warming series. One of the best Japanese BLs of this year. Then again, Japan rarely ever fails to disappoint me. I absolutely loved Tane and the father. They were literally two of the sweetest supporting characters I have ever seen in a BL series. I will definitely rewatch this series. If you are hesitant to watch this series, don’t hesitate. It is well worth it! Like I said, 僕らの食卓、最高過ぎる!Oh, and teaches you how to make a few good Japanese foods too. Like bakudan onigiri and ramen fried rice. Was this review helpful to you?

Had Potential, but kinda just died….
Okay, so YES MY REVIEW DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS. IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS, DON’T READ ANY FURTHER.Okay, so here we have the Director who has been alive for centuries waiting for his lover, Seol Dong Baek to come back into his life. He finally does, but then we have this psychotic idol named Denis who pretty much ruins everything in the end. The story doesn’t tell us much about Denis. We know that Denis kills Seol Dong Baek in the olden days, as he was hired by the King to do so. However, the story doesn’t tell us really anything about him in the present, other than that he’s an idol and he has a contract with the Director’s agency. I don’t know why Denis had so much resentment and anger towards the Director. At first I was thinking that maybe the Director and him could have been together at one point, but then I thought no, because the Director said that he was waiting for Seol Dong Baek for centuries. Then I thought that it was because Denis thought that the Director was going to discard him once he wasn’t useful to the agency as an idol. However, I don’t think that was true either because the Director wanted to renew Denis’s contract. So I don’t know…Denis did mention that the Director is infamous for discarding people once he deems them useless, but the story doesn’t expand on that.
But in the end, Seol Dong Baek dies again for the second time, because Denis the psycho kills him in a rage trying to kill the Director. The Director, heartbroken, prays to god to save Seol Dong Baek again, only this time, the Director says that he will be the one to have his memories erased this time. His wish is granted, and Seol Dong Baek wakes up in his own bed. This time, Seol Dong Baek is the one with all of the memories and the Director has none, or so we think…the last episode hinted a little bit that maybe the Director might remember Seol Dong Baek, but not well like he did in the past, more like just déjàvu. The ending is an open ending though. Seol Dong Baek asks the Director if he wants to have dinner with him. So we can speculate that hopefully they come together again for a third time and maybe the Director gains back some of his memories, hopefully that this time Seol Dong Baek won’t die for a third time…
Overall, I liked this series. However I didn’t really like the ending or the fact that we got really no closure about who Denis was/is. I honestly just view Denis as a psychopath. He certainly has the creepy death stare for it. The series had potential, but fell short for me. The junk thing about Korean BLs is that they are often too short, so the storyline and characters are often overlooked and rushed and so the viewer doesn’t really get to know much about the characters or their stories.
Would I rewatch this series? Maybe. It’s not bad, just a bit lackluster. I liked the cast though. If this is your first time, I’d say give it a shot. I will say that it doesn’t hold a candle to other Korean BLs like Semantic Error though.

Another great drama from Thailand!
First off, this was a crazy drama series. I love the special cameos of some very famous and well known actors throughout the series, it was refreshing to see and a real treat. Jimmy and Sea did amazing as Puen/Tun and Talay/Tess and the supporting cast were all wonderful as well. Doesn’t surprise me though because this drama series has some of the best Thai actors in my opinion. The plot line was fantastic. Quite interesting and somewhat complex, but definitely held your attention the entire time. This drama was filled with seriousness, sadness, happiness, and very cute moments. Highly recommend watching this drama series if you are hesitant on it. It is one of Thailand’s best BLs of 2022 in my honest opinion. Looking forward to what Jimmy and Sea have in store for us in the future. Was this review helpful to you?

Kieta Hatsukoi! A true Gem!
Easily one of the best Japanese BL drama series of 2021. The story line is very easy to follow along and it progresses quite nicely. You really fall in love with all the characters. Unfortunately there’s no kiss, but honestly it isn’t really needed. There’s enough sweetness in this drama series. I also thank this drama for introducing me to awesome J-pop groups like Snow Man and Naniwa Danshi. The sound tracks used in this series, 初ラブ and Secret Touch are real earworms. They will quickly get stuck in your head as you watch this series. Also very easy to rewatch this series too.Was this review helpful to you?

One of the BEST Thai BLs of 2022!
Was a great series! Very crazy though. Worth rewatching yes, but for me, I think once is enough. It’s a crazy, very complex, and hectic series. The annoying “butterfly effect” annoys me to no end because it becomes ridiculous really. Every small little detail in the plot line can change because of the butterfly effect. P’Tae and Tee were great leads as usual. In the end, I’m glad everyone got what they deserved. This drama will really make you hate some characters and you will want to wish that they die in the most horrible way possible. Was this review helpful to you?

It’s a great series
I really enjoyed this series. It was great. The chemistry between the characters were great too. Win is such a great singer and Top is really a professional chef. The ending was a little bittersweet. The only thing I didn’t like is how short the episodes were and the unusual number of them. 21 episodes ranging from about 9 minutes to 20 minutes. Seems like they could’ve trimmed down the amount of episodes if they just combined some of them together. I would love a second season of Ingredients. Perhaps this time of Win’s career as a singer and Top’s career as a chef wanting to open up his own restaurant. Also throwing in a long distance relationship and somewhere in between the two of them reconnect and get back together for good. That would be a good plot line for a second season in my opinion. Nonetheless, I recommend this drama if you enjoy BL, but also for the food and music. Food and music are what brings people together after all.Was this review helpful to you?
Was okay
I don’t write reviews very often, but it wasn’t that bad. I watched it on GagaOOlala. The explicit scenes were quite surprising, but nothing that I haven’t already seen from a Thai series. The story wasn’t really anything special. Just exploring Tokyo and experiencing Japanese life from a Thai tourist perspective. I liked P and the twins. Beboy was a bit strange to me. However could be because his acting was a bit off. I realize that these are new actors though. I also enjoyed when the twins sang. They have beautiful voices. I think what attracted me to this series originally is because it was filmed in Japan and considering that I live in Japan, it was well interesting to see it from a touristic perspective. I wish Chapter 1 was released, but I have heard that it isn’t going to be available due to an actor leaving. Was this review helpful to you?

Was a bittersweet movie
First off, I like the collaboration between South Korea and Thailand. Being an avid fan of both countries, it was very refreshing to see a collaboration between the two countries. The story was quite sad to be honest, which I find is a very common theme with South Korean BL dramas. You have Min Hoon who commits suicide by drowning in the ocean because he was so severely bullied in the army. Which my guess is because they knew he was gay. Then you have Tae Kyung who ultimately does the same thing in the end, so that Min Ki and Jae Hee can be together in the end, I find very sad. I also find it a bit well can I say off putting that Jae Hee and Min Ki are dating each other when they both know that Min Hoon was Min Ki’s older brother and Jae Hee’s ex-boyfriend. I don’t know, it is a little uncomfortable for me that the younger brother Min Ki is dating his dead older brother’s ex-boyfriend. It doesn’t really sit well with me. All the while, Tae Kyung, Jae Hee’s half brother, is dying from a rare disease. Overall, it was a good movie and I don’t regret watching it. I just feel really sad that Tae Kyung and Min Hoon sacrificed so much for their brothers. I hope for their sake, that Min Ki and Jae Hee make the best out of their relationship.

Was Good, but………
First off, I enjoyed this series, but the ending made me really sad and disappointed that it ended that way. P’Nut had a very harsh upbringing and thus his former boyfriend from high school bought him a teddy bear named Taohu (Tofu). Long story short, the teddy bear comes to life one day and helps P’Nut overcome his own problems at home and problems from the past too. Basically, Tofu spends all this time, getting to know P’Nut more and more, but in the end, can’t be with him because Tofu turns back into a teddy bear. So in the end, P’Nut goes back to his ex-boyfriend from high school. Not to mention, there are people in this series that I ABSOLUTELY HATE and I HATE that JUSTICE was NOT served. The cast did an amazing job because boy did I hate some characters. This drama isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s quite a dark, depressing family type of story that slowly unfolds and has its sweet moments, but ultimately, falls flat in my opinion, but it is worth watching still. If you watch this series, you will understand why I didn’t like the ending, but it is nice to see how the main character grows up and becomes a better person overall. Was this review helpful to you?
