Chaotic
If you can make it through the first 30 minutes of the movie, which was really messy and boring, the movie will try to catch up later. What was a real waste, is the impressive cast turning out to be too much about nothing. Forget the first half completely, things turn out to be relatively more interesting in the second half. But not to the extend to salvage a Titanic. Some of the leading cast were good. Worth mentioning, Kim Soo Hyun, though his role was extremely short, but he marked it memorable indeed. Yet again, all was forgotten in a mediocre overall movie. Still, I wouldn't say the movie is among the worst watch list, but it doesn't score high. And if I need to pin point what went wrong for this impressive cast, I would say probably the story, there is no much to tell except bits and pieces of a typical heist action movie, and a huge cast chaotically ensembled without a solid plot. Was this review helpful to you?
A movie to watch
Good movie to watch for action/comedy people. Not to mention that the story was a plus indeed. The two leads were superb. There was one part that was little rushed and unrealistic though, but the fundamental story line was extremely touching. The conflict between duty and order, how the two leads stood for their honest believe of duty, and how that paid off at the end, were aspects that made the story very appealing and refreshing. Keep watching after the final credits, one of the best scenes of the movie is at the last end.Was this review helpful to you?
Perfect Witness
This is a must watch movie by all means. The story and acting were both superb. Loved it from the beginning to the end. Kim Hyang Gi was a perfect 10, and Jung Woo Sung was a perfect match.Despite the heart break moments, you will end up feeling nice about the turn of events, and connecting to the characters. Do not expect the typical drama, romance, or crime stories, but prepare yourself to watch a very heartwarming story. And spare a 2 hour movie night for this one, because once you start, you will keep watching till the very end. A brave risk from Production and the Director indeed, to take on a risk of no-typical appealing dramas, and produce a very good movie that is tender and memorable.

Hard to tell
It must be the story, this is where the movie failed to develop where you expected it to do. By the end of it, you would surely ask yourself; what was the problem?. Even at the romantic level, there should have been more moments to make you believe the relationship potential between the two leads, I did not understand the distance between them. Sung Hoon is fine as always, but again, the story did not give him much to do. This goes for the rest of the cast. I was aware that the rating of the movie is not promising, but I watch it. I realized then that the rating is reasonable, it would've been better if they tried to go deep into things that matter, and give the two lead a chance to connect in the right way. In the beginning, I felt like they had the potential, but in the end, I felt like it was wasted. I like watching movies which give you strong feelings about something; like a story, a character, a purpose ... etc., but this movie will leave you with none of that. Was this review helpful to you?
Secretly Average
I didn't get it, it was just a heartbreak over no apparent reason. Nothing worked for me, except for some sweet moments between Kim Soo Hyun , and Park Hye Sook characters, his interaction with the two small kids, and with his two fellow soldiers, Lee Hyun Woo, and Park Ki Woong. And while these would seem like a lot, but the sweet moments were few. Other than that watching this movie broke my heart, and this was not over a good drama. I only watched the entire movie hoping things will turn bright, but it was only my wishful thinking. Was this review helpful to you?

Class act
For someone whose never into historical or fantasy, this one was a change especially at the first half of the story, it was really intriguing. What did not work for me is the fact that the initial worm relationship between princes/brothers did not stand long against the conspiracies for the throne, the violence, the exiling, I wish it would have. Standing out for top performance, Lee Joon-gi, then both Nam Joo-hyuk, and Ji Soo. However, if you don't like to shed some tears and get your heart broken over drama, this isn't for you. Still, you will lose seeing a great cast, and a great first half indeed. Was this review helpful to you?
Pass
Pass, that is how you would probably feel after watching this movie. My expectations were high because of the ratings, and the reviews. But something was wrong. Maybe the pace, or the absence of connecting the characters when you expected more, or both.Acting has taken the lead part in this, hats off. Otherwise, it was not the best story, it was not great action, and again, it was not special suspense. You won't feel connected to the characters or the story if you trust my review. If you want to make up your mind on your own, watch it if you have nothing else to watch.

Joker Act
What an act by Yoo Ah In, he is scary, a villain to the core, like a Joker. He took on such a repulsive, despicable, and evil character and delivered a crazy superb act. Simply, NO ONE could have played Jo Tae Oh like that, it was iconic. Equally perfect was Hwang Jung Min, he struck a perfect balance against such a brilliant act of Ah In, and delivered a superb performance of his own. The entire cast was a top act, Yoo Hae Jin, Jung Woong In, Oh Dal Soo, and everyone. Hats off to Ryoo Seung Wan for screenwriting and direction, and again for the cast choices. I just wish he could've put some background depth to the story of the psychopathic Jo Tae Oh.Add it to your watch list and you won't regret it. Once the first 10 minutes pass, you are up to some great acts. I would say some scenes were extreme and over the top, and the end might be a little bit rushed, but the cast performance A*.

***
If you are SUPER romantic and have a thing for supernatural drama, you will absolutely love this one. And even if you are not, it would be nice to watch, basically, for the main cast. But if you are seriously anti-romance, this will get to your nerves a little too much to handle on a binge-watch mode. All the male leads have done a great job. The female leads were also good. Maybe if Jun Ji Hyun didn't go over the top in some of the scenes, there would have been no flaw. Some of the moments which were supposed to explain a lot about Kim Soo Hyun coming to earth from the stars, staying for as long as he did, and what would happen if/when he goes back, did not deliver any meaningful explanation. Was that intentional to keep the mystery, I guess not, it left so much to be missed. But there were many points that would make up for what was missing, like the cinematography, the music, scenes and sets designs, all were very good indeed. And again, high marks for the cast.
