Buckle Up while I take you on a journey

Let me take you on a journey through the highs and lows of this drama, where emotions swirl like a tempest, and characters leave an indelible mark on our hearts.

At first glance, Namwhan and Denkhun appear to be the quintessential onscreen couple, poised to captivate us with their chemistry. Yet, as the story unfolds, that spark we long for seems to flicker and fade, leaving us yearning for a connection that never quite materializes.

But fear not, for amidst the murky waters of disappointment, there shines a beacon of hope in the form of Pim's journey. As she traverses the tumultuous terrain of love and family, we witness her evolution from a naive young woman to a nurturing mother figure for the adorable twins. Oh, how those scenes with Mafeuang and Mafai tug at our heartstrings, their innocent love for Pim radiating like a beacon of light in the darkness.

And then there's Saran, the steadfast pillar of support in Pim's tumultuous world. His unwavering dedication to both Pim and the twins speaks volumes, even if the origins of his love for Pim remain shrouded in mystery.

But it's the twins who truly steal the show, their infectious energy and genuine affection for Pim melting even the coldest of hearts. Their American-accented English adds a unique charm to the drama, a delightful surprise amidst the chaos. But what truly astounds is their flawless command of English, spoken with an American accent, a rarity in the realm of Thai lakorns. ( I mean kids as young as the twins) Their bilingual prowess adds a layer of enchantment to the narrative.

Despite the trials and tribulations Pim faces, she finds solace in the unwavering support of the farm workers, maids, and babysitters who become her makeshift family. But amidst the sea of kindness, there lurks the shadows of betrayal, embodied by Pim's own brother and the nefarious Thinnamai.

And let us not forget Aunt Chuda, the epitome of societal elitism, whose relentless pursuit to thwart Pim's happiness serves as a stark reminder of the class divisions that plague our world.

In the end, while the journey may have its pitfalls and detours, it is ultimately a tale worth experiencing, if only to witness the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. So, grab your tissues, hold onto your heart, and prepare to be swept away by the emotional rollercoaster that is this drama.

Real Deal Bad Romeo

My review contains spoilers!

It took my 48 hours to complete from where I left off. I was on holiday through out most of the time it was airing and I was looking forward to complete it.

This not a slap kiss but a romance - revenge, w/o any r scenes.

This lakorn is filled with plot twists.

I really liked the Yaya Mario chemo, tbh they had better on screen chemo than her on / off screen boyfriend Nadech.

Mario done a great job portraying the street smart boy to a man who educated himself in 7 years and returned back as a different man.

Mario is quadrilingual, when he became Carl you don't find it odd that he speaks English perfectly otherwise realistically someone can not speak a language like native with an accent in short amount of time.

Lakorn starts with Kim & Kaokla having a one night stand, Kim getting pregnant and moving into a remote island to be with Kaokla.

She was welcomed by his family but being the daughter of a rich man she faced some difficulties from her loved ones, loads of back stabbing.

Kim's father Songsil never approved their relationship and wanted her daughter to get rid of her baby. (Hats off to Sam Yuranunt he is done a great job as father of the bride)

I believe Sam's political background, his 40 year acting skills helped him to fit into Songsil character.

He has done his best to break them apart.

He succeeded so.

But Bad ass Romeo returns back as Karl / Carl

Kim's & Kaokla second meet up was the same as one of their first scenes at Kaokla's garage, she thought Kaokla was death and she was shocked to see Kaokla, but Kaokla never admitted he was Kaokla nor he revealed his is Karl

And we have Asia Raman whom most of us thought she was Kaokla's bio mother when she saved him from the sea (we were not wrong though, but we don't learn this up until the last episode) Asia Raman (Metinee Kingpayome) is a great actress. She was so good as Asia Raman. Asia Raman also pays for her karma at the end.

Kaokla tortured Kim without asking what really happened same goes for Kim, she received a letter she thought it was from Kla, he received a letter he thought it was from Kim.

Hello, there is something called mobile phones,he could have called her, asked his dad to visit Kim or his sister.

I loved the chemistry in between the 2nd leads

But I am not sure if I would be as forgiving as Kim especially to my best friend

Lita also lied and deceived Kim.

She helped Kim's dad to break them, yes she had her own reasons, she wanted the best education like Kim but she didn't have enough money.

Lita was also a good friend for Kim. She supported her, Kim supported Lita.

Lita was Kim's only friend.

Sajee [Lita's mother] and her school principal boyfriend was also funny (she loves spring chicken)

Yaya is the Queen for portraying innocent naive girls, she has that look so she fits perfectly into the these characters.

I hoped to see baby no2 up to the last minute but we couldn't.

Roek (Wanchana Sawasdee) was a good father even though he's not Kaokla's bio father.

Tanthai & Lita had a decent chemo, they also have their own happy ending

Lita fancied Tanthai from day 1, I suppose Tanthai had feelings for her as well but he just didn't want to accept or just ignored those feelings.

I cried when Khem Kloijai Kaokla's sister's bf died.

Khem didn't have to die at the last minute, he could have his own happy ending.

He was Kaokla's friend from prison.

Claire she was Kim's half sister Kaokla dated her to take revenge from Kim

Kim is a girl who loves her dad and doesn't know he concealed a lot of stuff from her.

Both Kim & Kaokla have trust issues that's what created the problems in their life.

Realistically they were too young to be parents.

Kim had a miscarriage, when Kla asked whether their baby was girl or a boy she said she doesn't know she didn't ask, when she knew the gender, the whole reason not telling Kla was she knew Kla wanted to have a son, oh but Kla thought Kim was ignorant.

He was not thinking clearly.

Yes I was expecting Asia Raman to be Kaokla's ma, I found it suspicious her being on the yacht and saving him just when he needed but I was not expecting Nate nor the story behind Asia Raman learning about Kla's true identity.

I thought she left Kla just like Kim's ma left her and got married with a rich man.

?ight some of us might complain that it's different than the drama & the novel. I can't speak read or write Chinese, so I can only compare it with the drama version. Also it's an adaptation and there is no rule that says, movie needs to follow the book or the drama step by step.it's a movie so don't expect to see everything you saw in the drama. Movies based on the dramas will always be in fast forward motion, it will feel like something is missing. We have completely different main leads. I much liked Xing Boran & Angela Baby. In the drama (in the game she was not married with Cao Guan ) she was married with Feng Teng played by Huang Bo Jun.

In the drama Wei Wei was so passive in outgoing, she hardly let him to kiss her. There was basically no chemo between ZHENG chuang & Yang Yang.

The Bromance not as strong as it was in the drama.
So a little bromance is OK, we are not watching River Chen Bromance.

On drama v Wei Wei pissed me off by being overly innocent not even letting him to kiss and when he tries to kiss behaving like he is raping her.

obviously not everyone was happy with the drama and same thing is valid for the movie.

In the drama I disliked the main lady Wei Wei and couldn't ship her ZHENG. Here we have a lot more chemo and they're matching. Also Xing Boran is not or doesn't look as cold- reserved as ZHENG.

In the drama Cao Guan was platonically in love with Wei Wei but than fell in love with Er Xi.
Before I forget Er Xi in the movie portrayed by another actress.

In the drama Wei Wei gets married with Xiao Nai through the end, in the movie they were not married yet when the movies finished.

Other than these it follows the same plot with few differences.

If you do not know the drama it would feel like everything is hanging in the air, so first watch the drama and watch the movie later on.

Yes this is based on a Chinese Book, but this is a remake and they sort of buy the rights, so under the hands of a good screenwriter even a bad book would turn into a marvelous drama. Most of the actors are wasted in the drama, we did not see anything much of love. Scarlet Heart Back in 2011 was my first CN drama. It was the first year I started to watch Korean CN dramas did not know much about them, I accidentally discovered them on youtube.. I can only say this this was not as brutal as the original one.

I still want a S2 if all the fans get together and push them by petitions & twitter parties we'll get it but we won't get anything by sitting and hoping..

I am still not recovered by this drama, I want to go and watch it back, I have done the same on Scarlet Heart a couple of times.

never ending drama

The lakorn starts with Visanee returning from London, directly causing mayhem at her father’s wedding. She grew up with her dad as her parents were divorced.

Surprisingly, her stepmother is not the typical stepmother; she has a very calm, loving, and caring personality.

Visanee starts working as Aarom’s secretary. She bullies him, makes errors and mistakes on purpose, and appears lazy, but Aarom falls in love with her (this is obvious to the audience, though he is not aware of it yet).

He has a fiancée who is insecure and jealous of Visanee.

On the other hand, Visanee’s father wants her to be engaged to someone wealthy. This includes the son of a rich Chinese family.

Aarom’s fiancée is always jealous of him and constantly appears at the wrong time and place.

This leads to her having a one-night stand with Yotin (the guy who wants to get engaged to her for her money)

Aarom doesn’t physically cheat on his fiancée, but he’s always around to help and support Visanee (if you believe emotional cheating is cheating, then it’s cheating; however, I subscribe to the “look but don’t touch” motto. My husband works with top models and Hollywood stars (when they come to London) and he comes home and tells me about them, but it’s purely professional).

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you see it (glass half full or half empty), Aarom doesn’t learn about this until the very end. When he does, he doesn’t believe it and makes accusations.

His fiancée dies in episode 9 and exits the story. Don’t think that just because one crazy character is gone, things will get better. You wish! But it’s not going to change what’s coming.

it was obvious that Aaron no longer loves his fiancé, instead of breaking up & starting a new with Visanee.

Visanee accidentally hits and kills Aarom’s fiancée. Even though he was not on good terms with her at that point, he decides to take revenge.
what irked me was Aaron suddenly acted like he was deeply in love with his fiancé after the accident.
The crazy characters are never-ending. The fiancée’s best friend, Witasanee, is also in love with Aarom
Mental trauma Visanee gone through was not acceptable.
As if Aarom is the only man left on this planet earth, all the unhinged females wants him for themselves. In the end, Aarom discovers the truth about his fiancée and confronts Witasanee, who admits that Non had cheated on him. She even recorded the video and took photos.

After this, you’d expect him to apologize to Visanee, but he doesn’t.

There’s a non-consensual scene, and they also make love, but he is horrible to her. I hate lakorn ladies with Stockholm Syndrome.

In the end, Visanee’s dad accepts Aarom as his son-in-law, Vitasanee loses the movement of her legs, Aarom understands he really loves Visanee, Char and Nute realize they’re in love, and Yotin and his mother go to prison.

You can still watch it for Om and Aum.

Fan girl mode on: Aum’s eyes and the way he stares at the female lead make my heart beat faster. (Fan girl mode off)

Aum is surely one of the most beautiful Thai actresses. By the way, she’s older than Om and older than Benz (who plays her stepmother).

There was decent chemistry between Aum and Om.

Still better than most of the slap kiss lakorns

If you get bored, just fast forward.

If you have got patience & time go for it.

Chitaba & Patawee's love story starts in Paris, one of the most romantic cities. It started really well, and I hoped it'd go on like this (mind you that I've dropped this lakorn at the time due to lack of subs after ep 6 and didn't bothered completing it after it was completely subbed )

But Patawee understands that Chitaba is his enermy's daughter while leaving Paris.

Chitaba's dad kills himself due to gambling debts to Patawee.

Patawee asks Chitaba to be his mistress for a year (while he has his own girl friend, with a greedy mother)

Chitaba accepts it to get her house back.

Patawee constantly rapes her

Behaves her like sh*t.

Not only Patawee mentally abuses her, his girlfriend and her mother, one of the housemaids also mentally abuses her.

Chitaba is a strong willed girl and she knows how to fight .

Patawee's girl friend has a heart disease and tbh expected to die anytime

Chitaba eventually falls pregnant but she wanted to abort the baby.

Luckily Chitaba had people on her side and they did their best to help her.

Is it a happy ending ? depends on what you understand from happy ending.

If you got patience, go ahead and watch, you can always watch it in ff motion.

It's modern revenge / slap kiss drama

This movie was offered as an in flight movie, I decided to watch, it kept me occupied during the flight.

Protagonist Fleur is a singer & courtesan in a flower house in Hong Kong, she meets & falls in love with 12th master.

He's a heir of pharmacy chains, and this relationship is doomed from the beginning...

When 12th master offers her a suicide pact & Fleur accepts it.

Than we have a time jump around 50-60 years in late 80's of Hong Kong.

Fleur appears on news paper office where Yuen works and tells him that she wants to place an ad to find Chan, who never arrived in the afterlife, she uses a code that indicated time and date, year of her suicide.

Yuen feels sorry for her gives her some money, but she follows her to Yuen's house, Yuen's girl friend first get suspicious thinking that he's cheating on her, but soon understands that she's a ghost.

Yuen's girl friend helps her Fleur to prepare for her meeting with 12th master, but when Fleur learns that 12th master never committed suicide, she felt cheated..

Fleur also helped Yuen & his girl friend, they started to see things from different view of perspective.

I've tried to review it as much as I remember from the movie, it's been a couple of weeks.

I first started to watch this in 2015, and I found something more interesting, jumped to that drama, completely forget about this.. Recently I started to rewatch and this drama needs to be in dramas to watch when you are having a bad day, it is not a drama that has a rewatch value but it's light and fun.

Actually I liked Tae-Won his character is childlike and I do like that sort of men, that I can be a child with him. and tbh Min Woo does a superb job portraying Tae-Won as he also personally likes cute things and he shares those on his IG.

Yun Hak sort of reminds me of Jon Gi, mostly his eyes, the way he looks :) Jin Sung she was on the Bride of The Century and I liked her there but even on that drama her tone of voice was a bit loud.

For me Hye Rin (Hye Mi) & Min Woo ( Tae Won) should be the leading characters and Jin Sung ( Jin Na) Yun Hak ( Hee Chul) more compatible.

The problem is Min Woo is good at choosing the worst dramas for him

His character wasn't written properly he was ultra innocent more like 2-3 year old. Jin-Na is the master of the master of lies. She's doing everything to have a luxury life, in other words she's sort of gold digger

I do enjoy cute dramas, and this is one of them..

She is the illegitimate daughter of a rich business man after his death, the wife brings her into her house and she starts to live like a princess. She is been promised to marry another rich businessman's son, she chased him for a long time, he did not like her, she fell in love with a different guy and the other guy who at the time did not fancy now starts to chase her.. It's a sort of love triangle but in a funny way..

She keeps on having day dreams in the middle of things.. that makes this drama quite funny too

It gets boring time to time but if you do not have anything to watch go for it.

I love the drama, I am not sure which Geun Suk to love, the one who was In Ha or Suh Joon, the makeup, hair styling, wardrobe was done so nicely that I had hard times recognising Yoona in 2012's comparing to her 1970's self. I love the friendship, how friends sacrificed for each other.. With this drama the ones who are born in 1990's and later learnt about 1970's about the music, love, lifestyle and politics, I have to say I loved the musics, both the OST and the other musics chosen for the drama, Where do I begin the theme song of Love Story was a spot on for Sun In Ha - Suh Joon / Yoon Hee - Ha Na just listen Where do I begin To tell the story of how great a love can be the sweet love story that is older than the sea The simple truth about the love she brings to me Where do I start.. Also One Summer Night by Chelsia Chan, I love Rain by Geun Suk.. both actors done their parts well, I am amazed how Baek Hye-Jung (Son Eun-Seo) from the 70's and how Yoo Hyre RI(Hye Jung ) from the 2012's looked like each other..

when I saw chubby Seo In Guk in 70's I said WHAATTT!!! wait!!!! is he really Seo in Guk and when I saw him singing in 2012's I could not help myself but laughing.

Kim Si Hoo as Lee Dong Wook/Lee Sun Ho did not changed much.. In 2012's it was his time to sacrifice, bury his feelings to his heart..

in 1970's Sun In Ha & Lee Dong Wook ( haah such a coincidence we have an actor who is carrying the same name LDW) & Sun In Ha was in love with her, and he was faster and told his feelings to Kim Yoon Hee, in 2012 it was Suh Joon faster told his feeling to her, Lee Sun Ho kept his feelings hidden for his friends happiness, in 2012 we also have Tae Sung we first know about him when they were in Japan and also his feeling about Ha Na when they were talking about Diamond Snow, he silenced his friend by covering his mouth, as seeing - watching Diamond Snow with a boy / girl means that they'll fall in love. This drama is totally about FATE..
So history repeated itself but in a different way..

I loved that it is a happy ending on both parties everyone have their happy ending.

I do not care about the ratings, I loved the drama, I enjoyed watching it, it is a drama filled with romance without being cheesy I cried on some scenes and still cry on some of the musics played in the drama..

I would go and watch this drama again and again without getting bored.

Do not give importance to negative reviews, this drama does not deserve negative reviews.. It is only you who can decide whether it is good or bad.. Give the decision after watching the first 4 episodes.

If you are not into romance- romantic person, who does not enjoy romanticism, do not even start go and watch something else..

This drama was on my target for the last couple of years but not sure to watch it or not but I gave it a chance and I am happy about it.

Other than jumping immediately to 2012 I would loved to see some the transformation how they got married - children being friends wth each other. Just noticed we don't know anything about LDW wife and we know why Chang Mo never got married

I don't like dramas showing girls following men like a stalker and become their pup. The male lead was horrid to the main lady from day 1. Later he had a change of heart but even after getting married he was horid. KOKOTO was sort of ugly. She was pushy etc. This drama is a nigjtmare. I thinj I'm too old for this type of dramas. My first and last j drama. Thanks to this i never want to see a j drama..

The story starts when a grandma receives a phone call and flies to USA from Korea, Her granddaughter is living in USA, so they stayed in the house where she and her family stayed around 45 years ago, and flashback begins.

A werewolf boy it was on my watch list for such a long time but never watched it up until recently. This movie is giving me the taste of pure love. A werewolf boy a wild boy falling in love to human girl and how it develops, it is such a pure love, how girl works on him to teach him how to eat, how to behave, how to read.

So does he protected her from her so called fiance when he had a rape attempt and killed the guy. After that they go in different routes.

When both reunite 45 years later, she said I came back, why did you wait, I had continued to my life, had fun, travelled. Now I am an old lady, got wrinkles, gone gray, Cheol Su still looks the same as he was 47 years ago...

after that moment Cheol Su speaks, says no you are still the same, your smile never changed...
She is also shocked as he could not speak before, she spend the night where he sleeps, he read her a book, the book that her father gifted to her and she gave it to Cheol Su...

When she was talking the Cheol Su suddenly she turns young again. they had a hug ( I think we are seeing it from Cheol Su's eyes, for him she is always young and beautiful)

When she woke up in the morning he was gone. When she and her granddaughter was leaving, we see him making a snow man.

I wish they had given us a kiss..

I never thought that I would be bawling in this movie.. but I was bawling..

Song Joong Ki did an brilliant job playing Cheol-su. Although he was silent up until the last moments of the movie..

We see he never gave up waiting for her, he never lost his hopes.

This movie shows us Song Joong Ki is such a great actor, he only used his body language here and it was so brilliant.

This drama deserves a remake..

I admit I do get bored sometimes while watching it but what I do i watch 2-3 episodes drop it for a couple of days and return back watching. I think the chemo between Kim Sung Yeo and Jo Yang Sun is great. Yes Kim Sung Yeo is a bit clumsy, naive, stubborn but she loves Jo Yang Sun and that's what makes her character unique. I do like her here a lot. In this drama she almost looks like young girl more like an adolescent, her mimics is also quite well. Like even if you do not watch it with subs, you can understand she's shocked, unhappy, surprises. LJG can't say anything negative to his acting and he is very handsome, he speaks with his eyes.

GWi Lee Soo Hyuk for me he's a perfect match for a Vampire, he is a perfect with for supernatural characters. He has a pretty unique face comparing LJG, Baekhyun, Changmin, Kang Ha Neul, Bo Gum, Lee Min Ho etc

Yes Yang Sun's ex lover as her reincarnated self gonna play an important role in the drama but I do not really ship them here.

Didn't really like the music but whoever is their stylist is s/he done a great job. I loved the outfits. Actually when YS first saw Choi Hye Ryung as her reincarnated self Lee Myung Hee the outfit she was wearing reminded me what Hae Soo was wearing in Scarlet Heart Ryeo in one of the episodes.

The drama could be less boring but more attractive - exciting to us as audience.
