Let's go steal laundered money
Look, it's fun! If you want a fun, enjoyable action show this is a really nice one. Like yeah the plot isn't great but the chemistry between the crew is actually so cute I'm a sucker for a good crime found family. This show is so Leverage coded but a little less goofy than Leverage. Still the crew is SO FUN i LOVE their dynamic its the best thing about the show I just loved seeing them come together and support each other as the show went on. This was just a fun time it's a solid watch. And Krystal's in it so <33 I love her role as the guarded getaway driver. And yes because this was made in 2018 Kim Wonhae is most definitely in this show and I actually really enjoyed his dynamic with the main character. Also yes keep in mind this is a 2018 OCN show and its SUCH a 2018 OCN drama. There's fun action but not too much thought was put into the plot or characters. But yeah it's a good time and I do miss these sillies <3Was this review helpful to you?

Ig it really does take a village (of mothers) to raise a kid
This might have the most perfect first episode of any Kdrama I've ever watched. Yoonbok reading off of her list of favorite things as... all that happens in the background is absolutely CHILLING and HORRIFYING like. Wow. Who is that child actress and has she received immense amount of therapy after being in this show? Like these types of stories are so so important and the message here is so beautiful, but I can't help but feel awful for the child actors who have to pretend to be in these situations it can't be healthy for them. But that being said, this actress acted her heart out as Yoonbok and it really pulls at your heartstrings like she's such a resilient kid who deserves the world. Good thing she has this private bird scientist to give her all the love she deserves. Park Boyoung gave the performance of a lifetime as Kang Soojin, a woman who's just trying to be a reclusive in Iceland but who ends up looking after Yoonbok. Her panic and determination at the end of the first episode is heart wrenching as she makes her decision to take Yoonbok with her and her dealing with her own mommy issues while trying to learn what motherhood really is and what to do with Yoonbok is so much. The tone of this show is really so odd but it works? It's like half police chase thriller and half family melodrama and the pieces weirdly really meld together. Lee Hyeyoung shines as always as Soojin's adoptive mother like I love seeing a character like her. She's a great mom who really cares for her children, but yeah she's a diva about to die and who has held back secrets from her kids their entire life. I love that, yeah, she's flawed and she's a diva who loves the fame, but at the same time just because she's like that and famous she's not a bad or absent mother like you would expect. UGH THIS SHOW. Also yeah Yoonbok and Soojin's dynamic is extremely touching OBSESSED with them they are such a perfect mother and daughter duo and despite how closed off Soojin is it's so easy to root for her like you so badly want to see her get to Iceland with Yoonbok safely and I love how even some of the policemen later in the show start to question if they even should catch her. This show balances a lot of a tricky subjects and does it all so well and its truly so heartfelt. And oh... The scene where the police finally catch up with Soojin and Yoonbok DESTOYED ME like yeah you know its inevitable but it hurts so badly to watch them screaming for each other as theyre separated. I'm glad they got their happy ending and the awful mother got what she deserved. And WDYM the evil bf was Son Seokkoo??? This mans range terrifies me but yeah his character was equally as terrifying what a terrible person truly. Anyway yeah I'm absolutely in love with this show and all of the messages of motherhood <3Was this review helpful to you?
I do have to give this drama credit for giving me the funniest kdrama scene Ive ever seen. Nothing will ever beat Yoona dancing around with a pack of ramen and Ji Changwook trying his best to act like hes into it like HUH??? WHAT WAS THAT SCENE? It was hilarious though she really gave us nothing.

this is for the girlies whose love language is acts of service
I had been in such a kdrama slump for like almost a year and then I decided to finally watch this show. I heard it gave off My Mister energy and I had had the biggest obsession with Kim Jiwon. I ended up binging this in two days and I haven't known sanity since. Like... what a show. Yeah, it's not perfect, the time skip that happens is a bit odd and confusing and it can drag and be a bit slow ofc and yeah... Sometimes it meanders and doesn't feel like it knows exactly what it's trying to say, but it's worth it for the characters. Park Haeyoung once again characters that feel so incredibly REAL. Like Yeom Mijeong's entire character felt like a personal attack against me and so did Gijeong to an extent like i swear Park Haeyoung has been inside my mind. It's interesting because Mijeong has the potential to be such an annoying, self absorbed character but I can't help but love her. She hates saying useless things she's so real she wants deep connections not just surface level stuff and that's the reason she literally has one friend and it's Hyeona who's actually insane we love a blunt queen. Actually Hyeona was also a personal attack against me yikes. But yeah Mijeong's such an interesting character to follow and I want to see her find liberation and actually relax for once her life like !!! And ofc then there's Gijeong who does nothing but run her mouth- the complete opposite of Mijeong- but equally as relatable. The whole 'pick it up girl' thing was so real and her staging an injury in case she got rejected was also so relatable she was just an embarrassing queen and yeah she was self absorbed and so flawed but idk I really enjoyed her character. And then there's Changhee who had the best plot in the entire show like. Wow. He's a character with zero vision and passion. He just wants to make money and he wants a car and he makes all of his decisions based on that. He doesn't stop to think about what he actually WANTS in his life he's just running off of practicality and the grind of how speedy life is. The way they ended his plot was actually the most perfect way it could've gone and it's impossible to predict like that was. Wow. I'm still not over it. And yeah. I'm in love with Gu. I love that man so much I so get why Mijeong went after him like he's so pathetic and dead inside and the way he would just walk with her... and accompany and her and eat with her... Like idk there was such intimacy in their silence I really don't know how they did it but at the same time that's the relationship I want. That comfortable silence was just so beautiful honestly and I love that she never tried to fix him like I don't think she approved of him drinking himself to death but at the same time it's his choice and she can't make him do anything. And ep 15.... YEAH EP 15!!!! That ep is the definition of true love im sorry. Also yeah Mijeong 'five minutes a day of happy moments broken up in seconds' speech is one of the best kdrama monologues I've ever watched in my life it stopped me dead in my tracks. What a gorgeous, poignant show like I could go on and on about the themes and the way transportation is used and just... There's so much to impact with this show and again, it's not perfect it's got a lot of flaws but wow what a watch... And yeah Mijeong and Gu are absolutely one of my favorite television couples of all time theyre so weird. Was this review helpful to you?

They did this for all the loserwomen of the world
Chun Songyi is THE kdrama loserwoman of all time. Jun Jihyun does an incredible job at playing into the hammier aspects of Songyi's character while also making the audience root and sympathize with her despite her literally being a nightmare like she's got the range. Honestly Jun Jihyun is the best part of the show like her presence is the best on the show. And yeah, this is not the greatest show of all time. The second male and female leads are pretty weak characters and the villain is a very one dimensional run of the mill kdrama serial killer villain cause every kdrama needs one of those apparently. I still don't know how I feel about Do Minjoon but him laugh/sobbing while watching Songyi's video of her dancing to 'Marry Me' is perhaps one of my favorite scenes in any kdrama like it's absolutely hilarious while still being so poignant and it makes me feel for both of their characters. And honestly yeah if I was an alien who had been living for centuries I would also do anything to stay with Chun Songyi she's INSANE and gorgeous and its Jun Jihyun. Also I just think the leads are pretty cute together and there was a DalShabet cameo in one of the episodes so I kinda won. I am kind of biased as this was one of my first kdramas, but it was just such a 'turn your brain off and have a good time watching Songyi's antics' kind of watch and I do adore most of the humor. Was this review helpful to you?
