Life is a series of Choices

This show continues to be about choices -- love turned into blind jealousy is toxic to the soul. Guen-Soo can say he did what he did because of what Yi-Seo noted, but, ultimately, he chose to undercut a friend, so blaming his choices on Yi-Seo won’t cut it. All that crap about him not being able to stop is on him, especially since the reason he chose that path was to get her, and he lost so, why continue; it’s beyond YS now. Unfortunately, the Guen-Soo we loved is no longer, there is no coming back for him. Guen-Won is back, and DanBam goes global; everyone seems to have moved on, but the feel of the underlining calm before the storm looms heavily and sooner or later it will explode. I don’t know what I expected, but nothing about Soo Ah changed; it’s strange, but for the first time, I felt pity; for the lonely life choice. Everyone faces tragedies, trials, and obstacles; the way I see it, Soo Ah, the President, Guen+2 are but products of their choices, not victims of their circumstances. I Loved Sae-yo-ri’s closing words, yes please live on. I did not want the episode to end, but alas, another great one!

Love is true when it gives you the freedom to be the perfect reflection of your real self

My cup runneth over; I doubt Sae-yo-ri suddenly realized he had feelings for Yi-Seo. I am sure he’s known for a very long time but only realized the depth of those feelings when he thought he might lose what means the most to him. He’s come to love her not by finding her perfect, but by seeing an imperfection so very perfectly.I love Yi-Seo, she’s come a long way from where she started and is probably the one character that has developed the most. I understand why Sae-yo-ri held on to Soo Ah all this time, one’s first love is always the hardest to get over, but I think for the first time, he saw her for what she is and not what he made her be. Unfortunately, Soo Ah has no one but herself to blame for taking Sae for granted, and for not recognizing to get love, you must give love. She wasted her life with the President, letting him use and control her the way he has all this time. Now that is truly sad.Love is true when it gives you the freedom to be the perfect reflection of your real self, doing perfectly all you’ve ever wanted to be. I cannot wait for next week; I also wanted to take this time to say, please stay safe as we all try to deal with the global effects of Corona.

Eun-Ho

What an emotional episode I couldn’t stop crying, especially when Young Jin was at the hospital. I really hope Park Hoon ( Sang-Ho) is not one of the bad guys, I love his character in this drama (I admit he is a bit weird at times) and his reaction when he saw Eun Ho’s mother spoke volume. How could a child as decent as Eun Ho have that person as a parent; I cannot stand her; her fake tears and why was it important for her know more about who Sang-Ho was rather than what happened to her boy; she knows nothing about her son, nothing at all. What was Eun Ho doing at Sang-H's hotel, and how could Hee Sub's reaction to Eun Ho’s accident be relief that it didn’t happen on school grounds; how; what is Dong Myung story, what is he scared of; what the heck is going at this school? It’s all just too disturbing. How are Ha Min Snung and his driver connected… so many questions. An excellent third episode, I love the pace and no Young Jin's "don't cross me" attitude.

Tolerance

My heart … seriously my heart cannot take such indifference for a living being let alone one own’s flesh and blood. Geun-soo– my heart broke for him and it pains me to see him born to such incompetent parents – one uses him as a tool to gain riches and the other as a threat to dangle in front of his coward, good for nothing legitimate son (again of his own doing as an incompetent parent). Ugggggggggggghhhh I was seeing red with that ass of a father blaming his son for being born out of wedlock as if he made himself... when he as a father (its true not everybody can be a parent) is the incompetent one for prying on the weak to feel powerful, including his own flesh. With all that, I commend Geun Soo for standing strong and making his own decisions – now that is a making of a man.Sae ro-yi in just one encounter managed to impact two (Geun and Yi) lives, I find that to be his strongest suit, his ability to lead but what's even more important is how they will be able to impact him as well. Now, these are relationships worth protecting. Yi-Seo steals the show again, inching her way into Sae-ro-yi’s head and bar. Not only is she smart but she truly cares. I love her more with each passing episode. I loved Yi-Seo explaining the art of grinding and scoring, it was fun and who does he pick out of all the women in the club Hyun-yi, I just died, laughed so hard. I must say I was a bit surprised at Yi-Seo’s reaction to Hyun-yi, she seemed like she was open-minded more accepting, but I guess everyone has their limit. So, Soo Ah didn’t call the cops, why did she say she did; was she trying to see how accepting Sae would be; she did stand idly as someone else called the cops, though. What does that make her, a friend or foe? What would Yi Seo have done... When Soo Ah says she's annoyed with Sae, is it really him she's annoyed with or herself; and is it because she knows she will have to make a choice sooner or later or is it because Seo ro-yi only sees the good in her. I guess time will tell. No matter what she is or how she appears, Yi-Seo is my girl, that last scene, with the hand blocking, defending/protecting her love interest, now that was money. Love it. Today’s episode is about tolerance, I applaud the writer for taking such a controversial issue in transgender and spreading the message of tolerance. A reminder that we as human beings should make a positive and cordial effort to understand another's beliefs, practices, and habits without necessarily sharing or accepting them. Tolerance!

Soo Ah

No matter which way I look at it Soo Ah is resolved to ruining Sae yo-ri and everybody can say she's had a tough life and had to fend for herself and all but that does not excuse what she's doing to the man who has done nothing but try and accept her for what she is and helped her along. Soo Ah will always do what is best for her. And that act of bringing up Geun-oon to his father acting like she didn't know he didn't know just proves it to me this is not about someone who had a hard life and is just doing her best to survive, this is truly about someone who does not want to be outdone by someone she perceived to be less qualified than her. Like she said an uneducated ex-con. At every turn, Soo Ah jeopardizes Sae's every opportunity for success and he is a fool to keep giving her a pass at every turn. She is not being influenced, threatened or dragged by the hair -- she's made her choice. Sae will just have to learn that the hard way.I really like the fact that Yi-Seo doesn't try to point out Soo Ah's shortcomings to Sae maybe its because she knows it may backfire. I also love her direct, hold nothing back style but she is also someone that appreciates being needed and his faith in himself and trust in those working alongside him makes it all worth it. And I love jealous Yi-Seo but more so for her ability To read a situation and act accordingly. To me at least Yi-Seo is working towards making Sea succeed. Let me just say I disliked Geun Won's date so presumptuous of her to order for her date when she's never even met him. I know, I know he's a punk and I really do not like him but still I pity him for his inability to stand for himself and for bringing on his own misery but At the same time I think if he was loved he may not have ended up the person he has become.

Danbam

I love Yi-Seo... Sae-ro-yi and Danbam continue to face issues, be it because of the challenge of a new location or because the President cannot bare for Sae to be successful. The harder the President tries, the stronger Sea seems to come out on the other end, much to his annoyance.The episode clears up how Yeo-Si comes to be in President Jang's office and as expected, he tries to pouch her away from Sae-ro-yi not because he believes in her ability, but because he knows how much it would hurt Sae to lose one of his people. He understands left alone Danbam and Sae can in a few years rule Itaewon and overtake him. I knew Yi-Seo would tell the President off. I just wasn't sure how and I love how she did it, simple and to the point, making him realize he needs more than money or status to lure Sae-ro-yi's people away.The Danbam team gets wind of Jang Ga approaching Yi-Seo, and it scares them, rightfully so, forcing them to evaluate what is important, be it on a business or personal level. I think the highlight of the episode is that Guam won arrogantly thought he would be able to lure Yi-Seo to Jang, thus impress his father and gain his respect. Sadly, he ends up making an even bigger fool of himself; poor guy, nothing seems to go his way no matter how hard he tries. I cannot say enough of how much I love Yi-Seo... I have always been in awe of her, and she continues to keep my interest.

Sins of the Father

Children are a reflection of their parents – truer words were never spoken. Yi-Seo just wows every time, she had the adults' attention. Sae-ro-yi looks like he may be developing feelings for her, I like it. Today’s episode made me realize this whole thing was never about protecting his son; the President just couldn’t stand the fact that a nobody like Sae-ro-yi dared to go against him. Geun-won is finally where he should’ve been, so I don’t feel bad for him. I do, however, pity him for having the President for a father. He was doomed from the very beginning. In the end, Sae-ro-yi knew the President best. But did Soo Ah just realize what a monster she’s been working for, seriously... What she decides to do from here on will determine who she truly is as a person. Sae-ro-yi and team may have lost today’s battle but not the war and it's a full-on scale war now. No doubt about it. Just wow... what a great episode and an emotional one but even better ones are to come and I cannot wait.

Powerful

One powerful episode, I am quite impressed that the writer introduced such controversial issues as domestic abuse, group suicide, organ donation as it relates to a hospital setting and the moral and ethical dilemma hospital staff are faced with but more so on how it affects them (at a personal level) and, of course, the impact on the patients and their families alike as these have long been taboo subjects rarely if ever addressed or discussed. Not only does it address them but it clearly articulates the deep consequences if not dealt with appropriately. I really like the writer's approach to these issues with a definite push to have them taken seriously. One would think with everything that has happened at the hospital and continues to happen Dr. Park and team would have learned something but unfortunately, it all seems to be falling on deaf ears. I love Mr. Jang---tricking the Park team into committing money to gain support.On a different note, I adore how Eun TaK (can I say he is super sexy) and Dr. Yun's (I love her so much) relationship is developing and how he already confessed -- that nurse who likes him needs to give up, his made his choice. I also admire the growth in Cha this episode and how she stood up for herself against the pressures of team Park. I can only see her going forward from here. I also see how Seo appreciates Master Kim in the subtle ways he uses any given situation that arises to push them to confront their issues to become better doctors and people. Every episode seems to bring Seo closer to the "answer" he seeks. I've known from the get-go that Seo had "strong" feelings for Cha I doubt she realizes it and I can see why she hasn't as she's just too much going on a personal level but now that she seems to have a handle on her phobia I look forward to seeing how she deals with this new twist in her life.I loved the message of this episode; it serves as a reminder that one should never judge a person by external appearance alone. Everybody has a story, even a lifer (I so appreciated the organ donation storyline, it was extremely emotional and heartwarming at the same time). The moral of this show continues to be—no life, no matter whose it maybe—is beyond saving. I adore this show, and I cannot believe we are at the halfway point already, I do not want it to end.

So Special

Everything about Hospital Playlist 2 is beautiful. I love that it started exactly where it left off a year ago; I was ecstatic to see that and beyond thrilled that it's here already. I am so grateful that all my ships sailed except for Ik Soon's and Mi-Ha's, I knew they wouldn't, but I secretly hoped they would. But I get the feeling both Suk Hyung and Song Hwa will regret their decisions before long. Seeing all of them as they were a year ago, if not better, reminded me how much I missed them, their friendships, but notably, how they always have time for each other despite their busy schedules– I love seeing them again and the little secrets they keep from each other– too funny. Notwithstanding the sadness, pain, and grief that comes with being in a hospital setting, it's the stories that happen while at the hospital that touches me the most. I love the compassion and care most of the professors (especially our leads), the nurses, interns, and even the students have for their patients. I especially felt it with Yeon-u's mother, who, despite losing her child, continues to visit the hospital to feel closer to her through the people who served and knew her the most. And the 19-week pregnant woman. As they say, kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. Oh, and my favorite moments -- band practice -- I missed those.

What does "home" mean to you?

It's so good to have Kim Ji Suk back on the screen after the amazing done My Unfamiliar Family; if you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend it. It's also wonderful to have Yoo Ja Sung back after her most recent drama, Soul Mechanic, a most touching drama that addressed mental health with the brilliant Shin Ha Kyun. I love that they're both in this light, fun yet poignant drama that tackles the different perspectives of what having a home means based on each individual's past, circumstance, and environmental influences. For some, Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends, while for others, it's just a means to riches and wealth. I loved this first outing, and I look forward to the journey.

Terrorizing yet so Thrilling

Nothing sweet about this home. I've only watched the first episode so far, but what an intensely terrorizing yet thrilling ride at the same time. I was on the edge of my seat, and the best part is that not one monster looked like the other, insanely done. I must say kudos to the writer, director, set designer, editors, and actors for a job beyond well done. Throughout the first episode, all I kept saying was "no, don't take that," "no, don't open the door," "no, don't get on the elevator," "no, don't touch that," OH, NO JUST RUN FOR YOUR LIFE." Its good to see Lee Shi Young again (the last drama I saw for her was Risky Romance), Lee Do Hyun (so good to see him back so soon), Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, and Park Gyu Young (I really like her) together in one drama.

tragedy

The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people, but the silence over that by the good people (MLK Jr.) -- seeing Chief Choi manipulate the segok police station situation to the police's advantage rather than get to the truth was disheartening. I felt Yeo Jin's apprehension. But the prosecution isn't any better. To that end, I enjoyed Shi Mok's unfiltered depiction of the situation in Woo Tae Ha's face. I bet Tae Ha now realizes he has bit off more than he can chew with Shi Mok. It was such a pleasant surprise and an emotional one at that, the cameo from Lee Kyu Hyung (he has such a beautiful smile). Yeo Jin's reaction to seeing him was quite touching. I bet it was Shi Mok that sent him the care package. I hope we get more cameos from season 1. I hate seeing our two heroes at opposite ends, and things are about to get worse, especially for Yeo Jin. It looks like they need each other even more now than they did in the past. One a separate note, Director Park Lee Yeon Jae's secretary is catching feelings for her if he isn't in love already.

Shi Mok

I love that Si Mok is deliberate with everything he does and says and that he remains unaffected by the norms of the culture. It's a shield of protection almost. I, too, found his question about her drawings quite telling. It's almost like he was asking if she feels lost in this new job. I wish YJ had the same shield, she's definitely caught between a rock and a hard place right now, and I feel so bad for her. But I know together they can help each other. More so, help their bosses go back to respecting the purpose of the restriction line within their respective jobs as law enforcement and protection agencies serving and keeping the public safe and just.

Dirt Everywhere

There is dirt everywhere if one goes looking, and it seems like Dong Jae may have found more than his share in the drowning incident to the Segok Station and the Hanjo Group. And Chief Choi appears to be the thread that connects it all. I can’t help but wonder about that phone call between Tae Ha and the Chief; what was said; whatever it was got her so spooked, she went behind Yeo Jin’s back for copies of the report. She could’ve just asked her for it; this is not to say Tae Ha himself didn't do something to Dong Jae. We already know the Chief and Tae Ha are more than capable of creating a ruse to benefit their causes. I wish Yeo Jin didn’t believe or trust in the Chief so much. She’s only bound to be disappointed. I was so relieved to see Dong Jae alive, but with that last scene -- nooo, he couldn’t have been murdered, could he; he better not have gotten himself murdered, please be okay Seo Dong Jae. That cliffhanger ending, tomorrow can't come soon enough.

Daebak, this is my drama.

Daebak, this is my drama. I thought Chief Choi was totting the line between good and evil and that Tae Ha was dirty, but they're both deep in it. Early on, I got this inkling; they were in some kind of relationship, and boy, was I right. I wonder if they were married?. They may seem like they are at each other’s throat to the outside world, but they’ve been somehow working together all along. This goes beyond corruption; this more like a cover-up. As the saying goes, they can run, but they can't hide forever. Sooner or later, YJ and SM are going to find them out. And here I was thinking Sa Hyun was the dirtiest of them all. When I first saw Prosecutor Jung Min Ha, I thought something was up with her, the way she looked at DJ back in episode 2. I figured she (or even his wife) knew something about DJ, but I now see why she's invested – are they in an affair or is it something more sinister. Explains his wife’s behavior. At the beginning of the kidnapping, I suspected the Segok police officers, but after yesterday I had the Hanjo Group in my sights, but now I’m not sure. It’s crazy how everything and everyone is so convoluted and corrupt enough to have done something to DJ, or maybe he's the one doing something. The twists and turns with this season are mind-blowing. This writer does not cease to amaze, and neither does YJ and SM.
