Absolutely amazing movie

After the first viewing, I was surprised by the scope of the story, which I could not understand, and the absolutely perfect performances of the actors. Further, the story was sifted inside me, the individual scenes penetrated more and more deeply into my soul. The creators set the viewer in the mood with this exceptional piece so that it is not immediately clear and the story can be imagined from different angles. Yao Hua (a long-haired and headdressed symposia) is working at a butcher's stall in the market in 2022, his father is already a bit deranged, and suddenly Yao finds himself 31 years back in 1991, where he is mistaken for the missing Yong Hui-e and in the group of four friends he is especially interested in the only girl Kang Min, he sees a younger version of his father Bao Ding and finds out that the father is gay and in love with An Jian. I had tears in my eyes at some parts of the movie. The time (1991) in which Yao Hua finds himself is not as welcoming and open as the year 2022, in this year the first democratic changes are just beginning in Taiwan and the Kuomintang was abolished, and this time is excellently portrayed in the film. I also liked that all the characters are not gay like we sometimes see in Thai dramas, and that made everything more natural. Taiwan is a concept not only in the world of BL, and it is so, at least for me, here as well... The film needs to be watched at least two or three times. Excellent music.
The ending is not translated, about 58 subtitles, so we got a spoken word translation from a Slovak lady living in Taipei, who translated the ending into Czech (Czech and Slovak languages ​​are very similar and they understand each other).

God, this is incredible, what kind of lakorn is this, set in the first third of the 20th century, when the Japanese occupied Siam at the time. Read the description in the previous review by Barka, I'll just emphasize that the story must have been invented and written by the devil himself. We are in a time when the world did not wish other people, we are in the time of a Chinese clan operating in the territory of Siam, and the intrigues are so terrible, so surprising and every ten minutes they turn in a way that you do not expect. Absolutely no boredom, grown-up, no school kids. I thought to myself, I'll take a look at the first part and then I'll probably wait for the translation to be completed, but somehow it's still not happening, and after the first part, which is such an introductory piece, I just took a look at the second part. But that was a mistake! There it started in such a way that I devoured the series in three days. And that it is a pack, 17 parts of 70 to 75 minutes each! In addition to the intrigues and surprising plot twists, it is also a sky-high drama, mystical and sometimes even tragic (see the mushrooms), but that doesn't bother me, I also don't blame fairy tales for the story because they are partly fictional, everything was done so that the viewer, especially Thai , he didn't get bored. But on the other hand, beautiful visuals, a great theme tune and a song by NuNew that has 66 million views on YT and excellent acting in the Thai way. I was captivated by the beautiful sibling love, while the mothers scheming the ostopero, the younger brother, the brawler Yang, was every inch a symposus, the equally beautiful Jiu, who gradually fell in love with Thian, who was expected to succeed the clan leader, as well as both wives and one mistress the existing Song fruit and their two butler maids. In addition, the film ends without salt, without fat for the audience who will expect a fairy tale ending, but the very end, when Yun Wu swims away from the place where he was drowning at the beginning, symbolically meant for me that he realized his self, began to respect himself and continues strengthened into his next young life, and that's what I appreciate about the film, even if the project doesn't have a top ten rating.

I had a lot of fun with the opposites in the first episode. The brawler and brawler, Mok, a stubborn debt-ridden slob, who has also been in prison, with a girlfriend and, as a contrast, Day, a stubborn adult child, perhaps spoiled by his mother and a little spoiled, and in the next episode, a very fast incomprehensible turn ... From a wolf, he became a lamb with a whip, from a greased up hetero mechanic to a patient nurse in love with a young man, and Day's character suddenly changed quite a bit as well. Here, I would have liked more time for mutual "learning", grinding the edges of the characters, instead of the fact that in the next episodes the time was increased with cotton wool such as walking, cooking, running and other more or less lengthening scenes, and the plot stood a lot except for the matter with August. then everything will return to the first plan, counting on the assumption that the audience will be wistfully talking about how poor Day is blind over the slow-moving plot ... and they would go crazy with tons of snotty tissues and tears in their eyes even if it was filmed Day going to the bathroom to poop and unable to find toilet paper.

And with Mok banging against the wall, that was a scene where I couldn't believe Mok and laughed out loud with rage at how they artificially lengthened it to make the last episode even sweeter. Simply Philippines ... I had watched the series, now finished.
Pros: the acting side of many and also that some of the actors and actresses were watchable (Kajo made sure of it...), from the beginning it looked like a fresh piece, the music wasn't so great anymore, it seemed very, very same to me, as with other pinoy projects, the trannys were less and they weren't even that dismembering, in that they were surpassed by the affected acting maid, which in the Philippines is a "normal" acting actress.
I liked less that everything was stretched "on a shoestring", the middle part is about almost nothing, all the time, minutes of credits before and after and that some creators try to instill in the audience that everyone can love everyone, regardless of orientation and gender . It's just that everyone has a given orientation, even though they may behave differently, ambivalently or completely opposite sexually. But overall satisfaction for a pleasant finish, freshness and openness.

Klady: herecká stránka u mnohých a též, že na některé z herců i hereček se dalo dívat (Kajo to jistil ...), ze začátku to vypadalo na svěží dílko, hudba už ne tak top, zdála se mi hodně, hodně stejná, jako u jiných pinoy projektů, transek méně a dokonce nebyly tak pitvořící se, v tom je předčila afektovaně hrající služka, což na Filipíny je "normálně" hrající herečka.
Už méně se mi líbilo, že vše bylo natahováno "na skřipec", prostřední část skoro o ničem, pořád dokola, minuty titulků před i po a že někteří tvůrci se snaží divákům vštípit to, že všichni mohou milovat všechny, bez rozdílů orientace a pohlaví. Prostě orientaci má každý danou, i když sexuálně se může chovat jinak, obojetně nebo zcela opačně. Ale celkově spokojenost pro příjemný závěr, svěžest a otevřenost.

Každopádně vysoce nadprůměrný projekt.

Oba hlavní herci zahráli výborný vztah a někdy mě spíše bylo líto, že byl pojat jen jako bromance, protože měli daleko navíc, ale původní předloha se zřejmě musela dodržet. Příjemná blbinka.
