This series is well-balanced mix of life and romance.

I find this series very comforting. This is a fresh take on living your own life and finding genuine happiness.

The writer seems to include the mystery case to have a wider audience, but in my opinion, this isn't needed in the story. Many viewers will still watch this series because of great portrayal of the characters. The story will still be good even if it only focused on life and romance. Being simple is also extraordinary nowadays.

The music isn't praise-worthy but not a bad one too. I easily recognize music if it deepens the emotions it portrays to or if it doesn't match the scenes at all.

"Know what you truly like. If being extravagant and living in a big city is what you like, then go for it. If living a simple life is what you like, then so be it. You can't find your happiness if you don't know yourself." ------ this is what I think of after watching this series.

I always check my drama list before finalizing the rating. The suggested rating is 7.5/10 but this series is a little above my dramas that I rated 7.5 so I will give this an 8/10.

A VERY "SAD" STORY

The main leads are the same with Roommates at Poongduck 304. I watched this because Roommates at Poongduck 304 is one of my favorite BL dramas. I have low expectations because this is their first series as main leads together. But after watching this, it seems that they really have the chemistry since the beginning. Although their acting in the early episodes is quite dissatisfactory, they got better and better until the end.

A very sad story??? Why?? It is because the story is rushed.

Why is this series included in the Top BL in 2022??

The story didn't focus on the emotional aspect but what I love in this drama is that it stays on its lane. The story isn't forced. This is a typical love story but has done perfectly compared to other BL dramas. The actors did their respective roles. They acted as what their characters must be. The only problem I have in high school dramas is the bullying. Is bullying that harsh in Korea?

Why is this series included in the Top BL in 2022??? It is because it deserves to be.

I'm not pushing you to watch this series, but if you don't have any kdramas to watch, watching Cherry Blossoms After Winter will not waste your time.

Messy at first but ended solidly

Tears were running down my face as I finished this series.

My mind can't process the abnormal conversations and behavioral responses of the characters. The awkward comedy executions, the exaggerated acting and overlength shallow scenes left me thin-lipped while watching the initial episodes. Unnecessary scenes allotted too much time and wasted the earlier episodes. The sick dance moves of Thi are the only interesting and memorable scene. My mother woke up at 11PM last night because I laughed so hard while watching him.

I kept on watching with a frown face until I reached episode 6 and that's when the real show began. I really appreciate the main characters' fluffy relationship. Most of all, I applaud everyone who gave one of the greatest and most solid character developments (Noey's) of all time. I almost cried when I am watching him to be the best version of himself. The other characters, who actually stay the same and have no improvement until the end, become the polishing tools to make him the shiniest diamond. His character matched with remarkable acting brings out the potential of this series. The incorporation of the 50's-90's vibes to Noey's personality really gives off a pleasant retro vibe. I really like the use of old songs and instruments as background music.

Upon checking the main leads' background details, I was quite surprised by the age gap they have which is almost 10 years. Nonetheless, they have great chemistry. Hope to see them again together in the next-coming dramas. Disregarding the messy gang scenes (which could've been better if they really acted like a proper gang, not a bunch of clowns), this series is a must-watch.

Watchable and 80% well-executed.

(PS: I don't like the title. )

This could be a 10 but..

This is the first BL series that is almost my first 10/10 BL series ever. I watched more than 150 BL series so far and I still couldn't find my 10/10. I met La Pluie when it came out and I felt my connection to it. It's consistently a 10/10 from every episode until it reached the episode where the hearing loss of the main leads was suddenly cured without proper explanation. All stories have been closed and entered a new beginning at the final episode except that one plot hole. How the hell was the hearing loss cured? Was it because of the third-party? Was it because they were close to each other when it was raining?

Other than that, I love most of the things they gave to us. I love their solid characters. I like Tien's character the most. I like Tien-Lomfon relationship. I love how Tai realized his actions were the same as what her mother did when she and his ex-husband divorced. I really appreciate the detailed characters. There are no wasted characters. The OST is so good. Every time it was played as background music during an emotional scene, I got teary eyes. Well, the whole Episode 12 did make me cry.

Thank you to all who made this happen.

THIS IS MY TOP BL SO FAR. We may have different tastes but for me, this is the series that I would love to recommend to everyone.

I LOVE THIS!

The episodes are like a sandwich as a whole

The best episodes sandwiched the flavorless episodes. Everything is so good in the beginning (Eps1-3), they really tackled the office issues which I like. The episodes after them started to be less interesting so I hold this series after watching Ep8.

I reconsidered dropping it but I had a time today to binge-watch the remaining episodes so I did watch it until the end. Episode 9 was nothing special like Eps4-8. There are many side characters that were given too much airtime. Wish they would just focus on the main leads. What was done is done.

Episodes 10-12 got me surprised. Thanks to the office/work problems, I enjoyed the last three episodes. I wasn't expecting good kissing scenes but they threw me off-guard. That was pure Mukbang. LOL

Regarding the actors, I really enjoyed Man as Jeng and Bruce as Chot. Without Chot in the middle episodes, I would not hesitate to drop it. Man's acting was so on-point. I didn't like him visually at first episode but the more I saw him on the following episodes, I was hypnotized. He's so charismatic. As for Saint-Wind who acted as Jaab and Jane, I'm disappointed on their storyline. I enjoyed them during the initial episodes but they lost me somewhere in the middle up until the end. Their visuals are really exemplary but they still couldn't cover up the messy plots that were given to them. A wasted chemistry. I really love them though.

I did enjoy watching this series. It's decent but very lengthy which I'm afraid to recommend to other watchers.

The romance wasn't forcing itself; it just happened naturally.

No episodes starting from first episode did it make me bored af. Japanese BLs are really good in making this type of romance.

Yutaka and Minoru, the main characters of this series, are both self-conscious and too shy to express their inner feelings. These makes the whole story interesting and keeps me wondering how their romance will start to unfold. Flavored with Minoru's supporting brother Tane and father Koji, the series that seems pale for non-watchers turns it bright and colorful. The progress of the story is so consistently good. With Yutaka's past family-related trauma, the series brought a variety of emotions.

The romance in this series isn't grand and fairytale-like. It is very realistic, warm and blooming. It doesn't need bed scenes to say their relationship is intimate. Every little thing they do is extraordinary in my eyes.

Our Dining Table is one of the best recommendations for binge-watchers. I can guarantee it.

Edit: Every line they said in Final Episode was everything to me. This is a MUST-WATCH series.

I finished it just to see Tanaka and Katori scenes.

Wouldn't it be better if the main leads were Komiya Rio (Tanaka) and Suzuke Kosuke (Katori)? They have much more appealing visuals than the real main leads. I almost dropped this at episode 2 but since this is just a short series, I finished it. Thankfully, the late half of the series gives more scenes to Tanaka and Katori.

Also, the attitude/personality of both main characters does not fit for a main role truthfully. It gives a corny romantic relationship and a lackluster storyline.

Overall, this series is.... Mehhh. Empty. No impact.

EVERYTHING IS A 10/10 BUTTTTTTT

Whenever I watch series that is already completed, I always finish it in one-go. I started watching the first episode last night and finished the rest just a while ago.

I have to apologize if my overall rating is 8/10 although the suggested overall is 9/10. That's because I skipped too many parts all throughout the series. Recently, I like watching series with an episode of 15-40mins long each.

I have nothing to say about the intriguing and unique story, the flawless acting of casts, and the emotional music.

There are several factors that I would like to mention that failed to amuse me while watching this:

1. The scenes are way too long. There are too many dialogues. Some moments, either cute or sad, ended up dull.
2. The main actors are both great individually but their chemistry is off in episodes 2-9. I would blame this on the character development for Talay that the writer/s had made for them.
3. Is it just me only but does Thai dramas always have many sponsorships? Annoying like Filipino dramas. But Filipino and Thai acting is topnotch if you'll ask me.

--------------------

If you plan to watch this like 1-3 episodes per day, I recommend this sincerely.

FIRST TIME WATCHING JAPANESE DRAMA

I always watch anime but never in my life I would expect myself to watch Japanese drama.

This drama has led me in watching Japanese dramas in the future. I can't say that this is the best BL drama I've watched so far but the story is not your typical kind of romance. Although I'm quite lost on what's happening in the first episode, it brings me back on the right track on the following episodes. The love story of the main leads breaks the wall of natural laws. Love can bring miracles.

Do Japanese dramas always have less background music or is it just this drama only? During the emotional scenes, I was waiting for the background music but it did not happen. I'm quite disappointed on this part.

Overall, this is an 8/10 rating for me. This is a great opener for me to Japanese dramas.

If you watched "Peach of Time" (Korean x Thai drama) and loved it, you will also love this drama.
