At any rate, I definitely recommend this show. It's cute with a touch of lawyer-ness~

I'm not a big fan of love triangles, so I was worried, but there was no need to worry AT ALL. The way the main character changes her affection from one guy to the next is so natural, and it makes so much sense. She's not all that hesitant about it either, just mostly confused at first, which I think is totally accurate.
Plus, I love the main actor! I had never heard of him before, but the two have great chemistry~ I spent a good bit of this giggling and squealing. There were parts where I cried too, but they were all worth it to get that amazing ending~

Actually, despite how much I watch dramas, I don't really LIKE too much drama, and, usually, Chinese dramas have too much for me. They tend to drag, taking ten episodes to solve a problem that should take, like, half an episode. This one, however, skips it ALL. I mean it. The problems this couple have are ALL solved because they trust and communicate with each other. It's WONDERFUL. Ten outta ten.
I love me a feel-good drama that I can watch for romance and warm-fuzzy feelings, and this one is mine~
Now, there are problems involving side characters and their perceptions of the main characters, not to mention some insecurity problems amongst friends, but it's very REAL and it MAKES SENSE, and I feel like that's so hard to find some times.

Also, yet ANOTHER jealous girl being the villain. Someone spare me.

The main one, without spoiling too much, is that the consent is a bit sketchy, and it took me a minute to figure out whether both of them were really into this. After I read the book, I understood the characters more, but I think shows should be able to stand on their own without prior knowledge, especially when the book is so hard to get ahold of~
I agree with their chemistry--it's no joke, honestly--but their emotions and feelings don't line up for the longest time in my opinion.
The ending is a bit of a letdown, but I primarily blame China for that because it's clear that this should have had another season (the book is SO LONG, my dudes), but still: cliffhangers are never fun~
Also, like, don't kidnap your crush and tie them to a bed, okay, kids? It's not okay. I promise. (And they just completely ignored that part, in both the books and the show, so there's that).

I also really love this version of 2 Moons because it's just so to the T of the book, you know? Every scene I wanted to see from the book is here, and that's another reason I like this so much. I also love the actors who play P'Kit and Ming~
Everyone's so cute, and I hate them tbh XD
Honestly, though? If you get past the awkward dialogue at points (they really talked like that in the novel too, by the way; it's not just the show. I think they're just awkward people in general lol) and a mild amount of cheese, which is always good for the soul, this show is wonderful~

Make no mistake: this is a good show. The way the relationship develops, the way they work over the homophobic parents; the whole ordeal is brilliant. The last episode, however, is where I draw the line. In writing, we have a rule: don't kill off a character just to make your audience sad. This is because you betray a sort of "trust" between the writer and reader, and you can cause the reader to become angry if you don't do it right. The same rule goes for series and movies in my opinion. There are plenty of ways to kill a character and make it work, but I believe this story missed it. It feels like a cop-out in my opinion. Like, a doppelgänger? That's what we're going with? After everything they've been through, you're going to do that to them?
It was honestly a disappointment from what had been great screen writing so far and a heart-warming story.
I'll rewatch this series, make no mistake, because the acting is amazing, the chemistry is almost better, and I love the story aside from the ending, but I won't watch the last episode because that's just... insulting~

Honestly, the only thing I didn't like was the ending, which was a bit much and kinda pointless, but alas~ It's still good, and it honestly doesn't take that much away for me~

This has NO RIGHT to be SO GOOD OMG
Story: 10/10The story is your basic romance flipped on it's head: we get to see why and how Tinn fell in love with Gun, as well as how he tries to pursue him with the help of the best wingman ever, Thiu (Tiw?). It's such a cute twist, explaining all of the things that TInn does without Gun knowing, often backfiring in Tinn's face, to be honest, and I love how whipped Tinn is. The way they present Gun going from hating Tinn to being okay with him to actually liking him is also super wholesome. Plus, the side couple romance? Ugh. I love literally everything about this. I just want to type "Go watch it NOW" without explaining anything, and it's killing me not to lmao
Acting/Casting: 10/10
This is Gemini and Fourth's first main roles, and one of their first major projects (with some debate over whether Moonlight Chicken was filmed before My School President, which I'm not getting into because I don't really care either way lol), and you can't tell AT ALL. Like. Gemini is somehow funny and serious at the same time, often switching seamlessly from his Student President air to the high school boy in love he is, and I just APPLAUD him! And Fourth! Fourth is just as good! The way I can tell what the character is going through based on his eyes!? Ugh. It reminded me of Perth (Ay in Love by Chance and Kanghan in Dangerous Love) and Nanon's (Pran in Bad Buddy) acting, and he's only, like, 18! I think he might have even been 17 at the time of recording, and I'm just impressed. His and Gemini's chemistry is also on-point. Honestly, they might scale right up to some of my top Thai actors.
Music: 10/10
I feel like I just keep putting 10/10 on everything, but I literally mean it! I added EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. to my playlist. ALL OF THEM. Gemini and Fourth's voices go together so well, and even some of the other characters voices just... *chef's kiss* Loved it~ Plus, the show has this cute little snippet sound tracks that are both funny and relevant to what's happening in the best way. Seriously, whoever was in charge of music with this series really outdid themselves.
Rewatch Value: 10/10
It's such a cute, heartwarming story that I can easily seeing it being a comfort show. I know for myself, personally, it's a show that I often fall asleep to or watch when I'm not feeling the best, because I literally get serotonin from how cute and funny it is.
Overall: 10/10
This rating really shouldn't surprise anyone because I don't think I've said a single negative thing about this show, but whatever. I know that, as a community, a lot of us are tired of school BLs, often in the mood for more mature storylines, but I think this was a school BL done right. The characters act and FEEL like high schoolers with their over-the-top dramatics and antics, and I think it's a great spin on a novel that wasn't nearly as cute or fluffy. Just.. go watch it. Right now lmao

So Good~
VERY SLIGHT SPOILERSBasically: 10
If you're in the mood for a bit of a more serious high school romance focused more on healing and growing with cute banter and fun tension, then this is definitely right up your alley~ If you're looking for something more supernatural or paranormal, then this might not be the thing for you~ Also, if you're going through some things involving depression or grief, I'd wait a bit on this, because ooooooooh boy~
Story: 10
I went into this super excited for the premise, and, while it wasn't as supernatural as I originally expected, there were still a few plot twists that threw me for a LOOP, which was awesome lmao~ I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking, but the use of mental health and the importance of grief, not to mention how our idols aren't always what we think or should actually like, is such an interesting take in a show about high schoolers. There were points that literally had me hitting the pause button to take a moment, and it was because of both the need to squeal at the chemistry and the need to take a breath from all of the emotions. Props to the actors~
Acting/Cast: 10
They're so fucking good lmao I don't know how else to say it. Like, the main actors who play Ay and Akk are some of my favorites that have been cast as side characters for years, so for them to star in something together as the leads, you can bet I was going to support them all else be damned. But they were BRILLANT. The way Ay expressed his grief and Akk's expression as he worked through his feelings about literally everything? Ugh. 10/10
Music: 9
The OST is good, of course, and the background music is also perfectly place. I usually rank the music based on how often I wanna add all of the song to my playlist, and this one only had the opening (sang by the actor who played Ay) that really caught my attention, but that's a personal preference and not at all reflected in the way the background music literally made me anxious in the right spots and scream in happiness in others~
Rewatch Value: 10
This is a biased rating because I love the main couple and have already watched it a second time by the time I decided to start this review, so there's that lol I think is one of those dramas that you notice more the more times you watch it, so I definitely think the rewatch value is hiiiiiigh with this one~
Overall: 10
I thought this show was a pleasant surprise. There wasn't any toxic female characters, no toxic friends, the side couple was cute and showed more than just a handful of times, and there was even more on a friend that didn't necessarily have a romantic partner, so it felt very rounded out and involved. Plus, if nothing else, the CHEMISTRY between the ACTORS UGH. I loved it~

To start, I'm a big fan of kisses. I think they are an important aspect to any story, especially romance, BUT I also think that, if you're not gonna have as many kisses, you need to prove a relationship with other things, and that can be hard. This show, however, does it perfectly. The hand holding and the eye contact is so UNREAL and precious, and I love Khun Phun and Khun Noh, okay? They're so precious~
I'd complain about the end if there wasn't a second season, but there is, so I'm okay~
Now, I know a lot of people have a problem with Captain's (Noh) acting, but I feel like it fits Noh perfectly. After all, in the book, Noh is a dramatic, over-the-top guy. He's kinda awkward in that growing-up-trying-to-find-myself way, and it works, so Captain's acting works for me. I actually didn't realize people had a problem with his acting in the first few episodes until I read some of the reviews on here because it just fit~

It's honestly underrated in my opinion, and I would love a more detailed series about Si Ren's relationship with Hero~

Either way, I'll be the first to admit that this one lack as much romance as the others (since there's exactly one (1) kiss, and it's not exactly heart-warming), and the ending is a bit off-kilter, which is why I didn't go for an 8 overall. I think something starting off strong is important, but it should end strong too, don't you think?
