A houswife whose life revolves around her not-so-interested husband, has the chance to grow and blossom as she becomes a private detective.

I adore this drama. Serina, Jinnai and all the other characters are 3 dimensional people with a lot of heart. The mysteries themselves aren't mind blowing but the character growth and interactions are.

It's also amusing to watch. And Fukada Kyoko is fabulous as the obsessive and clingy Serina who likes to don disguises while she does her undercover work.

The highlight of the show was the interactions between Serina and Jinnai, her boss at the detective agency. They were so cute and funny together.

A good drama. Recommended.

This sageuk has amazing cinematography and a lovely soundtrack. This was also a drama that has solid acting all across the cast.

In particular, Jung Il Woo proved that he does have acting chops and this is his best work so far, in my opinion.

The plot is a seamless blend of action, melodrama and comedy. The story examines the life and history of this "hero" in such a convincing way.

The plot doesn't move that quickly and that may come off as jarring to some viewers. However, this drama is meant to be watched slowly and savored.
The characters are portrayed so realistically and they really remain in your heart even after the drama is over.

A highly recommended drama.

Hilarious.Loved it.

A Korean office drama that didn't annoy me but kept me entertained (laughing) and guessing until the end.

The setting in a Korean village was interesting as well.
The characters were all wacky and fun. Not much of a romantic story but quite enjoyable anyway.

The ending was the best. Wow.

Highly recommended comedy drama that is a bit quirky.

I found Drunken to Love You hilarious as heck and refreshing.

What really worked for this drama was the peppy chemistry between Joseph Chang and Rainie Yang.

Also, side-note: Rainie totally rocked her short hair after having long tresses for years! Some good acting from Rainie : her crying scenes are absolutely wonderful.

Joseph's Song Jie Xiu really won my heart. Because he was not just another self-absorbed pretty-boy (I find Joseph to be more manly in appearance/vibe than most Taiwanese actors) . He was interesting and perceptive. He was actually aware of the feelings of the people around him. He fell in love with Lin Xiao Ru (female lead played by Rainie) FIRST (refreshing!) and pursued her kindly and patiently.

The side characters were also tons of fun. Samantha (Song Jie Xiu's mother), Xiao Ru's pregnant best friend, Jie Xu's assistant ... were all quite funny.
The story lines with the secondary romantic interests were unbelievable and unnecessary and the drama would have been better without it.

Not a perfect drama ... some of the plot faltered in the second half but still good, funny, sweet stuff.

Watched this drama because I am a Tanaka Misako fan. And she was her usual lovely and bubbly self in this family drama about a family in which the mother, a recent widow, realizes that she is pregnant despite being 50 years old.

Overall, the drama was interesting and informative, especially regarding pregnancies that occur when the women is 40+. I did feel that the drama came off as a bit pro-choice at first, which makes sense in a country like Japan, with such a slow and low birth rate.

Some shoddy acting here and there made me slightly annoyed but it was all forgiven once the super adorable baby was born.

A good drama. Not the best but it addresses a socially relevant issue: older age mothers in society and the issues that come along with them.

To be honest, the first episode did not draw me in. But I decided to keep watching, and by episode 3, I was invested.

I learned a lot about college life and train culture in Japan. Maybe all the train talk and timetable reciting will be a turn off to some, but it's there. Also, the settings in the drama were really fabulous.

There was good character developments and plot. The arc between Koki and Chiaki was believable and fun. The side characters, Hanagata and Momoyama experience a lot of character growth which is always essential to a good drama, and it is done so, in a realistic manner.

Even though there is a decent amount of romance mixed in, the drama focuses on friendship. It shows the give and the take, and the support. It was really heartwarming.

This drama will slowly win you over. The ending was a bit predictable, but the journey to the last episode (as a viewer) was quite enjoyable.

Fantastic and heart warming family drama about 3 friends who pitch in to help take care of an abandoned little boy. Watch three men grow into maturity as they laugh and live and love with the uber adorable Akira.

Every single character did an amazing job. My favorite character was Ken. His story arc with his father was quite touching.
There is some form of romance, but nothing really that made me get invested in it. This is more of a "family" drama.

Recommended for those who want to watch a heartwarming drama about friendship and character growth.

If I had only one drama to recommend to someone to watch, it would be this drama. This drama is one that will make you cry in every single episode, so keep the Kleenex nearby. It will make the viewers truly thankful for their health and motivate them to have a more positive outlook on their life.

Sawajiri Erika is quite convincing as Ikeuchi Aya, the character upon which the entire drama rests upon. Nishikido Ryo also does a terrific job as Asou Haruto, Aya's semi-love interest in the drama. The chemistry and the progress between these two is very beautiful and realistic. Every character in this drama is wonderfully portrayed and goes through development.

Another thing to say, the music in this drama is amazing and touching. Every song fits the scenes and tone of the drama to perfection.

Highly recommended for everyone who wants to watch a meaningful and touching drama.

Fukada Saki looked amazing in this drama. Tattoos, cropped blonde hair and a permanent glare. She was also the most compelling character in the drama.

The plot revolved around illegal Chinese residents in Japan and the drug trade that occurs in the Chinese ghettos of Japan. It would have been nice to hear some dialogue about the social issues behind the illegal residents of Japan but the drama doesn't go that deep.

Interesting plot lines and characters but the execution came off as lacking. Some more depth to the characters, both lead and supporting would have made this drama a better watch.

The side characters did not experience as much character growth as I would have liked and the ending was too abrupt for me.

A good drama with interesting plot and characters but lacks depth.

A successful manga/anime into live action. Take note, drama producers.

Cheerful and hilarious.
A lot of the credit goes to the actors who balanced quirkiness with good acting restraint. Tamaki senpai was the star of the show. But to be honest, I was rooting for Haruhi to be with Kyouya because Daito Shunsuke stole the show in terms of chemistry after the scene at the beach. All the characters were cheeky and quite loveable.

All of the dialogue and the acting was amazing.

A fabulous and fun and well executed drama. Totally enjoyable.

To be honest, it seemed like this drama was a vehicle for Kim Tae Hee in Japan, after her success in "My Princess". The plot was nothing unique neither was it executed amazingly. The plot is quite simple: A Hallyu actress falls in love with her bodyguard while in Japan.

Nishijima Hidetoshi is a lovely actor but there wasn't that much that he could really do with his role. Kim Tae Hee was adorable but her Japanese dialogue did seem to be a bit repetitive after a while.

For me the highlight of the drama was Sasaki Kuranosuke's character. He was hilarious as the actor with a hidden complex who views Nishijima as both his rival and his friend. The bromancey scenes were my favorite ones.

Also, I really loved "Superman" by Crystal Kay ... it's such a sweet song and totally fits the drama.

Honestly, this drama played it quite safe. It didn't really look at the social issues (and tensions) between South Korea and Japan. It would have been nice to see some dialogue about the Hallyu wave as well.

"Boku to Star ..." may be a predictable drama but it is still fluffy and cute.

The drama had the potential to be great, but it fell flat.

The drama gives viewers an inside look at the life of a hostess. It's a brutal field, with tons of egos and politics and drama. But the script writing fell short. There were too many repetitive cat fight scenes between the hostesses that just annoyed me to no end.

Matsuda Shota was the best actor in the entire drama. No surprise there. He was the only one who managed to pull off his troubled character well. So of course I was super disappointed that by the end of the series, he had very little character growth or meaningful dialogue or scenes with the main character.
Kato Rosa is attractive. But she didn't really portray her character with enough conviction or finesse.

10 episodes, and many face slaps later (the drama has a good number of them!), I was irritated.

With a good lead actress, better script and more scenes with Matsuda, this could have been a decent drama instead of mediocre.

Warning: This review may be somewhat biased because I totally identified with the struggles of the female lead character ... so this is a drama that left a huge impression on me and I think about it often.

A well-done drama about two lifelong friends, who once they move in together, realize how much they mean to each other. Where does the line between friendship and love start to blur?

This is a heartwarming drama that may seem a bit cliched and predictable off the bat. Can a guy and a girl just be best friends, especially when they start to share a home together? But the journey to the end, with these endearing characters, are worth it.

The main leads have wonderful chemistry with one another and the plot moves along in a natural and realistic manner. The side characters are not just for filler, they are interesting and well-fleshed as well.

I really identified with Soo Ae's character's struggles on a personal level : a lot of the tensions in the drama come from the struggles of a ticking clock (age) and trying to find a place in the world, in terms of love and career.

A highly recommended romantic comedy.

A gang is left to care for the adorable baby of their former gang leader. All kinds of hijinks ensue.

To be honest, I was laughing non-stop throughout this entire series. Wacky characters and hilarious dialogue and wonderful comedic timing from all the characters. Son Chang Min and Lee Jong Soo stole the show with their comedic prowess. Plus, the baby was super cute.

Just want to mention that there are some mature themes and content, as a warning. There is some potty humor and some crude(ish) scenes. But nothing too graphic.

A cheeky and hilarious drama that shines with warmth and themes of friendship and brotherhood.

I am glad I watched this dark and hilarious drama. Well directed with a range of unique characters and at first, things don't seem to connect but they do, by the end.

I really enjoyed the wide array of quirky characters. They were all well fleshed and interesting. The sequence of events was interesting to watch as well. There are moments of sheer hilarity and then moments of horror as well ... there's a nice balance of both.

Not a perfect drama but still a unique and interesting one.
