It's okay...
Too much time wasted on the love triangle/square while the terminal illness was brought to attention way too late. It's definitely one of the weaker tearjerkers. The earlier parts were funny and interesting but I couldn't bring myself to like the later parts, they were so dry and bland. The drama didn't do a good job in portraying that deep connection needed for any tearjerker drama. On the other hand, I was glad to see Kang Hye Jung in a 1st main lead. It's a rarity in her short career, usually it's either 2nd lead or support. Was this review helpful to you?
If only the first 2/3 were better....
The whole husband death and force adoption was moronic to the nth degree. Not encouraging to keep watching at all. You know what else isn't encouraging? The chemistry between the leads. The man looks older than his real age and this only made the gap even bigger. You also get the following: unsatisfactory cringy payoff, child-like screechy mother-in-law, masochist doormat female lead, and a spoiled unlikable scumbag 2nd lead. This made the road to redemption unconvincing and remained so till the end. Although it got a teeny tiny bit better but the first 65 episodes remained utterly garbage. I know the writer wanted us to hate the mother-in-law but the least they could do at the end is to give her a terminal illness or just kill her. Judging by the writer's other projects, no wonder this was bad. She stopped writing since 2015 and I hope she never come back. Was this review helpful to you?
Solid
Great drama from Noh Hee Kyung pre 2010. The drama is definitely unique for its genre. These relationships and bonds were unlike any other. I didn't get such a strong familial bond from other family focused dramas unlike this one. The same can be said about Mi Su love relationship, they fell so hard for each other it's heartbreaking. It's one of the hardest aspects of writing to nail complex characters. It's not perfect but a solid package for sure. It's been a while since a drama left me empty. Was this review helpful to you?

Had a chance....
The 2nd lead syndrome in this is very strong. Hyun Woo is just too superior, he stole the show. There was almost no chemistry between FL and Young Min despite being the male lead. All the chemistry went to FL and Hyun Woo. The drama was fine for the first 81 episodes then it took a hard left turn and everything started to crumble. Yet again, it took another extreme left turn after episode 102 with all the fiasco including Seo Young and Hyun Woo's mother. The drama had potential but there were too many fuck ups in the writing departments. Was this review helpful to you?
Goddamn!!
Awful writing! One of the most disorganized incoherent unstructured writing I ever came across. Was this review helpful to you?

If only the writer put in a little bit more effort...
At first glance it seemed interesting with the impulse control disorder which quickly turned out to be a very poorly written plot device. Around mid way the disorder became whatever the writer wish it to be then it completely disappeared without any mention or cure as if it never happened despite being a major plot point at the beginning and part of the drama's dvertisement. Apparently it's easier to write a generic story-line instead of attempting something slightly different. Anyway, the drama had also an awful love story-line, both were mostly awkward and had no chemistry or whatsoever. The romance was only included out of obligation, might as well remove it.The drama also had pacing issues whether it's regarding the main story or any of the side ones. The main story felt limited in the number of characters it involved, there were mainly 6 characters it was cycling through. There was a desperate need to include more characters to contribute to the main story. The support characters weren't given enough attention and most of their stories were cut short anyway. I low-key wanted to see more of the erratic behavior of Se Yeon's sister. Aside from the earlier parts, the drama didn't have anything interesting.

A big no....
The drama was shot nicely and had a great cast behind it but my god it was utterly boring, brain-dead and uninspired. The writing/dialogue is just too lame as it is, you can feel the cast was struggling to work with it. How the ML behaved was comical and people call it realistic! This is both the director's and writer's first project but it's hard to over look these things. Hope to see Jang Na Ra in better projects. Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing...
Not a fan of the ending, in fact, the entire last 2 episodes were straight up disappointing. Seriously, what did the ML accomplish or gain at the end? Almost nothing. It's like he tricked his mind to think he finished his revenge. The cast was good but I ended up disliking everything else. The drama is a waste of time if you aren't a fan of the cast. Was this review helpful to you?
Maybe....
The comedy felt forced sometimes and took away from some serious/casual moments. About 2/3 of the jokes were lame, bland and weren't even suppose to be "jokes" but the background music/sound effects indicated otherwise. At least it was shot nice and the cast was decent. Was this review helpful to you?
Ahh.....
Oh god this was awful! Once it finished I double checked if I was missing any more episodes beyond 122 because the drama just ended?! What! I read that the drama was meant to be 120 eps so they probably went over budget. Don't expect anything from this drama, and I mean absolutely NOTHING! Weirdly enough, the antagonist "Hwa Kyung" is treated like a main character and got 75% of the screen-time to herself, meanwhile the main female lead "Woo Jung" treated less of than a support character. Was this review helpful to you?

Meh...
Poor directing that reflected on the cast middling performance, especially Joo Ji Hoon who was barely acting maybe because this was his second project. The thriller aspect was weak and the mystery didn't exist, the "baddies" were known too early, like in the first few episodes. Don't even get me started on the supernatural element, total flop. Some may watch it for Shin Min Ah but this is her weakest project imo.The ending was extremely over dramatic that it straight up made it bad. It's okay to have the same "outcome" but what led to it "the final 2 scenes" needed a re-write as it is completely nonsensical in its current state.
