A period piece to remember

Recently rewatched, my review remains the same !!!
So this Lakorn is on another level of beautiful. By far the best transmigration Asian drama i've watched. And yes even better than Scarlet Heart and here's why I think so
- The author was able to encompass cultural beliefs and use it to write the story. This way, nothing is hidden from all parties including the audience.
- There was a clean cut from the past/future and it created an avenue for clarity and the easily avoidable pain you get from separation in all transmigration drama's was evaded.
- There was absolutely no intention of changing history. This is a romantic story using a real life period piece, I think the writer of this story did a good job in making the main characters life dynamic, without necessarily having to change what has happened in history. (Very intuitive)

CAST/ACTING: They were all amazing and sincerely the best characters and actors came from the servants. They were just too splendid. The main leads did a good job and all the other side characters portrayed the story well. (Great job)

MUSIC/SOUNDS: The use of the foreign language, the dialects and her modern slangs were beautiful. They added a form of reality to the situation. Most period pieces I've seen have the foreigners either speak their own language or not talk at all. This was quite different and a relief. Kadesurangs constant use of modern slangs and the fact that some foreigners identified some of her words(Maria) was great. The locals were more confused by her slangs, and this was consistent till the end which should be. Those around her however, adapted quite quickly to her use of (different) words. This is unlike other transmigration pieces where you see that someone from the future is using modern slangs and the people from the past either do not care, pay no particular attention to it, or sometimes it seems like they understand which they are not supposed to. The music was also good.

This drama basically cleared the air and gave you what many transmigration or period piece drama's cannot give you, a balanced dose of romance and history, there is enough history to make it seem like a real period piece and enough romance for you to not get bored and tired of politics. So good job drama lords, good job author/writer and good job actors. This was a beautiful one.

Music, Food, Love and powerful voices!!!

It’s one of those dramas you watch after something very high angst, or if you just love something sweet. I haven’t had a drama that gave me a certain feeling since Love O2O. This isn’t an overly explanatory review, I just want to say that this drama made me feel good, and I hope it makes someone else feel good too!!!

I think the acting was great, the visuals were amazing. And the voice acting and singing were honestly the biggest highlight of the drama.

I would say that this drama is not for everyone. If you’re one of those people that doesn’t like slow and easy romances, then you will probably find this boring. But for me it’s a 10/10.

Do watch!!!

Cliche to perfection

Its genuinely a really good drama,

It felt like I was watching a classic, a good CEO drama never gets old.
Once a cliche is well written, casted and executed, it turns into a beautiful drama like this one. All the tropes were there, and if you're a long term drama watcher like myself, it feels so good to finally come across such a well executed cliche. I loved it and if you're one for romance, this drama is not short of it. I mean the kisses were the highlight.

I noticed most people reviewed this drama based on the fact that its "cliche" but I think that is what makes it so special.
take a leap of fate and WATCH THIS CLICHE!!!!

If it can make you smile like a fool, It is a good drama

I didn’t expect this drama to be as good as it was. It's a definite cliche in the sense that it has all the CEO tropes you could ask for. But I've observed that tropey dramas these days are not as frustrating as they used to be. The drama is your typical hate to love CEO drama with a not so good “Strong woman” twist. (I would like to point out that her strength isn’t supernatural, she’s just stronger than your average person because of her kung fu background). The drama is cute, funny, and sweet. It is also fast paced and easy to follow. Conflicts are resolved easily, there are no breakups and it has a perfect and satisfying happy ending. I didn’t want the drama to end.

All the side characters were cute. Her parents were honestly the best C drama parents I’ve ever encountered. His grandfather was so nice, and the office workers were cute. This drama also has the best Second Couple in the history of C drama second CPs. The couples were literally gummy bears and marshmallows for me. No awkwardness and their chemistry were impeccable. I wished they had made Bai An Rou less evil and given her a chance with Han Ran, but their situation was still okay. The plot was nothing new, but as I always say, if it can make you smile like a fool, squeal like a smitten child, and give you butterflies, it is a good drama.

Cutest drama ever !!!

OMG!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever Fan-girled this hard in my life. The drama was so cute, their relationship developed so well, and there were so many cute and heartwarming scenes between them.
Kota was such a cute and bashful character and I loved his attitude towards life. He had a lot of insecurities, but he never let them affect him.
Naoya on the other hand is one of those people everyone assumes is perfect because of popularity, but also has his own fair share of imperfections he’s too afraid to show.
I love how their contrasting personalities balanced each other, it really helped with their romance. I wish we could have gotten more romantic scenes from them.
The two of them got me all jittery and tingly and I honestly haven’t felt like this in a long time.

This drama was honestly just Eye candy galore. All the side characters were so attractive, this was a heavy bonus.

The only downside for me was that their back and forth got a little too draggy and some of Kota’s kawaii moments were more cringe than cute. But when has cringe ever bothered me.

If you love BL, fluff and cuteness overload with a little bit of cringe, then this drama is perfect for you.

A Motivating and romantic drama.

I started this drama because of An Yu as I'm not a big fan of sports dramas and this drama didn't disappoint. It showed the importance of courage, humility, believing in oneself, and mostly Love. I particularly love this drama because of the raw emotions of the male lead. There was a secret lesson in this drama, and I think it's about men's mental health. There were no scorned women and unnecessary love triangles, even all the scheming was done by men. It removed the men from the perfect image we are all made to expect from them. We were able to see the vulnerability and real emotions of men, a topic that causes so much stigma in our community. So many times, men are taught that in order to be "masculine", they need to be strong and bottle up their emotions, and their mental health is affected negatively.

The story of a goal-oriented and determined athlete who fell in love with his coach. She was the first person to recognise his talent, and she held his hand through all the hardships.

Duan Yu Cheng's character was really good, you could see him develop both mentally and emotionally, and career-wise too. An Yu did so well, just like he always does.
Luo Na was a beautiful character too, she supported him all the way, and even though there were moments when she faltered, she never gave up on him, and she never let him give up on his dreams.
All the supporting characters were talented and beautiful. they really made the drama interesting to watch.

The OST was also really good, and it gave me the feels. Loved it so much. Some of the songs are also in English so I'm gonna be singing along all the time.

the only con is that the end was a bit rushed, and we never got to see more of Yu Cheng's competitions. Also, something to point out is that the first half of the drama concentrates more on sports, while the other half is more about romance, close to the end, there were fewer sports scenes and mostly romantic ones.
this drama is a must-watch, and very beautiful. you won't regret it.

You'll loose some of your hair, but it wont be a waste.

Pin Anong is a drama I had on my watch list for almost two years. I was very skeptical about watching because I knew what a slap and kiss drama entails, the reviews for the drama made me see that it was going to be a drama you either love so much or hate from the bottom of your heart. A disease that plagues every blockbuster slap and kiss Lakorn that exists.
the first thing I did, as you all should when you watch a Lakorn with a slap and kiss tag, is lower my expectations of normality and peace. you will enjoy the drama once this is done.
Plot
- the plot was well written, it is your typical evil stepmother cliche filled with action-packed drama, a strong and handsome rascal of a male lead, a weak, annoying but lovable female lead, and beautiful and evil side characters to keep the drama going.
The story was very easy to watch, despite it being slightly devastating and very frustrating. But is it really a slap and kiss if you don't lose a few hair strands from the madness it all?
- There was an annoying breakup, but I think the leads needed it a lot because of their lack of trust in each other. Though some tables were left unturned and some things we could have gotten clarity on, they weren't too bothersome.

Acting/characters
Pin Anong was a very simple but complex character, her goodwill caused her to be a very stupid, frustrating, annoying, and gullible person. But despite all this, I couldn't find it in my heart to hate her as many seemed to. All she wanted was peace and middle ground, without hurting anyone, though it ended up costing her a lot.

Khun Yai would have been perfect if not for how aggressive he was. I saw many people admire and compliment him, but despite his heroism, prowess, intelligence, and attractiveness, he was still an aggressive piece of shit at the beginning of the drama, not surprising because every Slap and kiss male lead tends to be like this. but he's lovable for most, if not all of the drama.

the other side characters did their jobs well, we hated those we needed to hate when we needed to hate them and loved those we needed to love when we needed to love them. That's all I'm going to say because I won't be giving any more spoilers.

Is it worth the watch? YES!!!!! try it and see, I've encountered better lakorns but this one probably enters my top five favourites.

A good watch for a Lazy week

All in all it's a really good dramas. The leads have good chemistry, the story is quite a good one, nothing spontaneous and no major misunderstandings or angst, it's just romance, life and a little bit of business. The music was pretty catchy, I sang along a few times. Actors were good, no one made me hate their acting. I advise to watch it when you are calm, collected and are in the mood for something light hearted and sweet.

It isn't the most impressionable drama, not one I would re-watch any ways but its a good one, and definitely worth watching

pro's
- no unnecessary misunderstandings.
- no unnecessary dragging, and even the break up was manageable.
- its a genuinely good story
-Very light hearted and the leads have massive chemistry
- goal oriented characters who wanted the best for each other. Very admirable friendships too.
- Everyone in the drama was attractive, this is a bonus
- Though it's forty episodes, its very bearable (note: I said bearable because you will find your self skipping a lot of scenes towards the end). Although I advice not to watch it when you're in a rush. Be in your zone and at your own pace and you'll enjoy it.
- The leads had beautiful; chemistry and understanding, both were very reasonable and responsible even in times of crisis

Cons
- The C drama script writing habit of making everything so perfect that you already know something horrible is about to happen.
- Ning Meng and her husband until episode 39
- The second leads story which was the highlight of the beginning became very draggy in the middle of the drama and only picked up at the end. I skipped almost all their scenes.
- There were some periods when the Male lead seemed like a block of wood. I wasn't getting emotions from him when i wanted to, especially during the break up and his fathers mystery.
-Ning Meng was a bitch, but she did redeem herself.

YOU'LL GET DIZZY WITH ALL THE LOVE AND ANTIQUES

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS
Guys I have absolute mixed feelings about this drama, I loved it so much. But it also got really frustrating to watch.
I have been looking for this drama with better quality since last year, finally found it on telegram and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint.
All standards met. but it still has many elements of a typical Thai drama
GOOD STUFF
- The kisses
- DON!!!!!! is a hottie
- All the characters are attractive
- their family’s relationship is literally to die for
- the self development was impeccable
- villains got what they deserved
- The grandmothers disapproval was more cute than annoying
- The fights between Lisa and Ratree were literally the highlight.
- Another Thai drama where the servants/workers keep you going, never a boring moment with them
- Did in mention, Mik is a hottie????? (Pardon my fangirling)
- Cuteness overload
- Satisfying ending and that mini concert at the end

Frustrating stuff
- Lisa constantly hitting Don, her overacting. And that failed attempt at being a (bickering couple)
-Ratree
-Unnecessarily draggy fight scenes
- The wait for them to finally do the deed
-Their teasing
- More draggy scenes
- Mor mee's stiff ass face
- Da, Pit and Grandma in the first half of the drama
- Again with the draggy scenes.
(You'd almost pull all your hair out, but in a very satisfying way)

All in all, its a good drama, won't be giving a perfect score but its still a beautiful family drama.

Prep season that makes you want to encounter the next...

NOTE: I put this notice after watching the whole drama. I have a review for each season that I gave after watching one at a time. You can read them all in one go or you can read it according to how you watch the drama. my third review sums everything up so if you're the curious type, you might as well just read all of it in one go.

I just finished the first season and its was pretty good.

STORY: so this is more like a prep season, we are introduced to the characters and the base of a big secret that is yet to unfold. we also see a lot of chemistry between the leads, despite the fact that they have lost their memories of each other.

Acting/Actors: I noticed a lot of people had problems with the female leads character and style. the only thing that bothered me was her heels. her character is one that is supposed to be strict and empowering, but also has a cute side. she's also a tease so taking her words seriously is just a waste of time. the male lead is good too, he came out as narcissistic and a douche bag at first but we see his sweet side later on.

there isn't much romance in this season, but the action and chemistry makes me want to know what happens next.

anyways, see ya'll in season two...

What started as a cute and fluffy romance became a remarkable love story to remember.

This drama is my second Thai Lakorn after Kleun Cheewit. Both by Mark Prin and I have to say, though he is a narcissistic douche bag in both, you can't help but fall in love with him.
so what makes this drama so remarkable? For me, it is the character development.
Never in my history of watching Asian dramas have I encountered a drama with such impeccable character development, the best part is that it came from every character. though the bad guys were punished as they deserved.
The male lead, though his came a bit late was able to overcome his fears and reach a certain point of maturity that I'm glad the author gave. The same goes for the female lead as she discovered that love is not meant to be one sided.
Love to Cleopatra and Miss Thailand for their amazing performances, and P'Chet who I loved so much.
The person with the greatest character development in this drama was non other than our beautiful and outstanding second female lead, Yada. As we know, it is very common for the scorned second female lead to have her world centered around the male lead, which I feel is a very problematic and narcissistic thing to do. She is either an annoying ex, an irritating childhood sweetheart, or a past entanglement who just cant seem to let go. Yada however broke this stereotype because she didn't center her life around the male lead, she developed herself in the most beautiful of ways. (You will learn this when you watch the drama)

Overview: This drama is very captivating at the beginning and you'll love it so much. It gets kind of draggy at episode 9 and I was literally about to drop it, but I didn't and I love my decision to continue. Not many people will be happy with the occurrence towards the end (which some people described as messy - I don't think so anyways), but these things were what made me love the drama the most. It felt like I was sitting right beside the author of the manga and for the first time, I cried for a drama and not just a tear or two, but I was literally wailing.

The music was amazing, especially Mark Prin's cover of Yesterday by Slot Machine. Very beautiful song and I totally recommend you listen to it with translations if you do not understand Thai like me.

The acting was top-notch. From the main leads, to the support roles and even the villains (Pondayt really slayed the role of abusive husband perfectly, you could literally see the evil in his eyes, you wont even remember that he's acting). The emotions were beautifully portrayed, especially at the end by Mark Prin. Our darling Mew also did an amazing job.
The chemistry in this drama wasn't lacking at all, it had all the elements together and managed to not end up as a slap and kiss. Thank the author and drama lords for that.

Not many people may have the attachment I had to this drama, but if there is one thing I know, its that this is by far the best Asian drama I have set my eyes on. it beats everything because it had everything I was looking for in a drama.
So good job Author, actors and crew, and good-luck viewers. Enjoy the rollercoaster because the end is most satisfying.

OVER RATED

I personally think a love so beautiful is an overrated drama. The actors are beautiful and I love both of them separately but I just couldn’t stand to see both of them together .

Also I feel like the female chasing man theme was so wrong, compared to the drama Unrequited love which is quite underrated, this one is not as nice.

I didn’t find the drama as interesting as it was hyped and I couldn’t help but skip all the way to the end

And that separation at the end was the most unnecessary moment in the movie. The drama was already beginning to make sense but that act just killed the whole vibe. I don’t know what people see in this drama but it’s really not the best for me and I won’t even recommend watching it to anyone
