Apostle (2014)

Chul Ho and his wife live in North Korea. They are supporters of a church which is strictly forbidden in their country. When their ties to the church are discovered, they are taken away to a labor camp. Chul Ho is able to survive, but his wife dies. Chul Ho can't shake away the sense of guilt he carries over his wife's death, so he goes back to his hometown for the first time in two years to keep a promise he made to his wife. There, Chul Ho decides to defect to South Korea with other church members in his village. Edit Translation
