Light hearted, fun, cute, sweet and cheesy this drama made me smile a lot. I loved the family, they were lovable and funny and the story was filled with cute/sweet scenes.

Of course, like a lot of Asian action/romance dramas I've watched there was a lot of overly exaggerated "gotta be cool" fight scenes that came off almost silly and a lot of situations and problems could have been solved to easily or weren't logical so it made it a bit dumb in somethings.

Also the feelings didn't always touch you the way I think they were supposed to which would have made the re-watch value for me higher, but I smiled so much through this drama I didn't mind the not so great parts. I just smiled away through whole scenes, not just funny bits but the sweet, cute, bring a tear to your eye cause I wish that would happen to me though it's cheesy as hell, kinda smiling.

Also, there was trust and understanding for the most part between the leads, though, as usual, there are communication issues, but it was overall very likeable, fun, cute and super sweet.

Not high on physical romance, lots of hugging but not so much kissing or set you on fire type stuff but still very romantic and sweet, also I liked that the couple were together as a couple before the end of the drama. The writer did do a good job of keeping the couple together while trying to overcome outside problems.

Nicholas Teo was amazing in this drama, in my opinion, much better than his last drama. His character was a very cool but sensitive man and he played his part perfectly. Cyndi was okay at some points, but her acting was a little ditsy and over exaggerated. It may just be the way the drama was supposed to play out but her acting became a little annoying at points. The story is absolutely fantastic! The development goes at a steady pace, enough to make the watcher crave for the next episode and still feel satisfied with the episode they just watched. The only fault is the exaggeration of some parts but even that can be overlooked. The songs (especially Nicholas Teo's) are fantastic because some are actually sang in the drama and they are well-sang and well-written. This drama would be re-watchable because after the ending is completed, there is a feeling of wanting to reminisce on how they reached the ending and all the events that happened in between. Overall, this was a great show, full of drama and events that keep you wanting to know more. :) Hope this helps!

I thought this was really cute and funny, but the acting on the girl's part was a bit over the top. The plot was really good and I liked how the relationship developed through the series. The plot was also a bit slow in parts if I remember correctly, but nothing too terrible. Music was fine and while I would rewatch this other dramas will take priority over this one.

This is a totally cute drama! Cindy and Nicholas have an awesome chemistry and I love the manager Vincent and his collection of different coloured glasses! If you like things like 'Fated to love you' and 'miss no good' you'll love this, I think they were produced by the same people they have the same feel about it.

This was the first show I ever watched as a kid (10 years old) and I loved it back then. Now, flash forward to a decade later, I decided to give this drama another try, and oh boy was i DISAPPOINTED.

Honestly, this show will probably be pretty cheesy for a lot of people. Some of the scenes are downright cringeworthy--especially with the forced love pentagon, and many parts will seem pretty childish. (I guess that's why I enjoyed it as a kid, huh.) The main girl has always annoyed me since I was little because of the exaggerated acting, but I think that was encouraged back when this drama was first released.

Nonetheless, Smiling Pasta did manage to make me smile and laugh on multiple occasions even when I rewatched it! It also made me crave spaghetti.... :( Now I really need some of that pasta in my mouth.

So, if you are bored with nothing else to do, you might as well give this buddy a try! Who knows? You might find yourself a secret fan of cheesiness as I am! ;)

I just watched Momo Love and found the actress to be pretty good so I decided to see what else she was in. I found this show. It was sweet and fun through the entire series. If you are looking for light-hearted rom-com this is a good pick. It is produced pretty well considering it came out when most TV were still SD and HD broadcast was unheard off like 4K is in today (2018). The graphics that are inserted are in for effect no one would mistake them for good CG we get today but I like the effects as they enhance the story telling and they aren't overused. This show no longer seems to be in any of the major streaming services but if you do a google search you can still find it that is how I found it and found it very enjoyable.

Update: It looks like Viki in the US now carries the show. This is still my favorite show and something I like to watch when I want something lite hearted. This is for certain in my top 10 shows of all time.

It is funny, although too childish. I usually don't watch these kind of dramas because they are boring, but this one was not that bad. I find the female protagonist too silly sometimes, but she makes a good couple with He Qun.

The last episode is too long, it lasts one hour and a half, so it was tedious.

The acting and the quality of the image are not the best, but it is more than acceptable to have a good time.

Story: The producers call this drama a remake of the Korean ‘Full House’ but with the media playing a bigger role.

I found this story to be rather enjoyable and lighthearted. It starts off right in the middle of things. With Xiao Shi going off to meet her boyfriend and He Qun bailing from a press conference and running into each other. You get to know more about the characters as the story progresses. Of course the main female character is an innocent, upbeat girl. She’s pretty much ‘Mary Sue.’ While I found that annoying a lot of the time, it didn’t really stop me from enjoying everything. At times it did seem a bit boring and over played, as if the producers were just throwing random drama in the couples direction. But it all worked out in the end and while I was a little relieved that it was over, I was also a bit sad. It is a good drama to watch when you’re in the mood for something a little more upbeat.

Music: The music is wonderful. Cyndi Wang sings the main theme and it is one of the most played songs on my ipod. I have a couple other songs from this drama as well, including a very special song from He Qun (I won’t spoil it, just watch the drama :D )

Cast/Acting: Cyndi Wang did a wonderful job. She looks the innocent part. Nicolas Teo, who plays He Qun, was okay. I thought a lot of his acting looked forced. Except for when he was ‘preforming’ his musical acts in the show. He acted as a big shot pretty well, I think, mostly because he is one.

Gino and Joyce Zhao did a great job complimenting the drama as the younger brother and ‘the other woman.’ They added great drama and

lighthearted romance

Smiling Pasta is a cute drama. You'll like it if you're just looking for the romance part without any stress. Watching it will put you in a good mood! (Or at least it did for me haha.)

It is an older drama, so I would say that there are some very cheesy bits and edits to it. However, it didn't ruin the experience for me at all. Besides the romance part, funny bits are thrown in there as well. I really enjoyed the interaction between all the characters regardless of whether they were the supporting or lead.

Give it a try, it's very lighthearted and simple to follow.

I've watched this drama so many times because it's fun and light drama.
This drama has the best family ever, i really love the relationship between Xiao Shi family, it's so cute and lovable and the most important thing is they support each others. Still remember when Xiao Shi is in trouble, all of her family will support her and give her courage.

And not to forget that the chemistry between He Qun and Xiao Shi is so perfect. I really admire Xiao Shi character on this drama because she is a brave girl and simple minded. And I will always remember when she said "zhi yao xiao yi xiao, mei shen me shi qing guo bu liao" .

Really recommend this drama for a light, enjoyable, and entertaining drama.

Storyline: The storyline was great! Sometimes I doubted the male lead loves and also the female lead, but then I got use to both of their good chemistry and thought they were a cute couple at the end. The female lead is dumb, but it is normal. The male lead can be annoying, which is also normal. The storyline was good enough to enjoy. Funny and sweet

Acting/Casting: I think the casting for the character was perfect. The acting was also great! They each played their role well in this drama.

Music: The music was great! Listen to it a couple of time.

Rewatch and Overall: Will definitly rewatch the drama. Overall, didn't regret watching

I believe that if i have watched this drama 11 years ago, it will make a lot of sense to put higher rating. Songs are lovely, however the tension music is a bit too much of it. The way drama is filmed is good for 2006 and would be quite cool, however i prefer simplicity over spec effects: slow motion. Episodes were too long and things are developing slowly. Drama is full or naivety, what i would address more to late 90s.
