Growing up, I've always been a HUGE fan of the Fatal Frame video game series and overall I do not think this movie here is all that bad or anything, however, I personally really do not believe that it deserves to be part of the 'Fatal Frame' series. I mean, the extremely iconic camera obscure is barely any relevant at all, the backstory of the curse barely made any sense and overall I never really got the impression as if this story's ghost was really all THAT relevant to the story to begin, except maybe to make the protagonists act and eventually solve the entire mystery... which solution ended up being once again extremely far detached from what you'd usually expected from the video games. Overall, if you're looking for a half-decent mystery story with some super natural elements then I guess it's decent enough to be enjoyed, however if you're a fan of the Fatal Frame/Project Zero/ ZERO series, then I strongly do recommend you to not get your hopes up. At least the music in this movie exceeded far above my expectations, so heyy at least it has this going for it which is better than nothing! :D

Not exactly like the Fatal Frame games, but still great

I love this movie. It is one of my favorite wlw movies. I'm obsessed with the two leads. They are so attractive. So many wlw couples throughout. I loved the story. The plot twist was so good. I'm not too good at predicting things, so it might have been a little predictable. To me it wasn't predictable at all. I was in love with the leads relationship. I honestly hope they make a spinoff of them, or some of the couples in the photograph room. They don't use a camera in it- which is a big part of the Fatal Frame series. I personally feel like it could be a stand alone movie.
