Descendants of the Sun Episode 6 Reactions
It's funny because I think Si Jin and Dae Young's has the most exciting relationship of the three main relationships! I love every scene they are in together! They just click.
Then Myung Joo and and Dae Young come in second, but mostly from flashbacks, and long emotional stares. The exchange with Myung Joo's father and Dae Young lets me understand Dae Young a bit more, but I still feel like he needs work in the communication area. I love you. I want to be with you, but not until your father accepts me. Simple sentences that reduces a world of hurt. I would want to hear that from the love of my life.
The father is smart, he doesn't want Dae Young to be around his daughter so much to sign off on an illegal transfer, but when his daughter is in trouble he knows that sending Dae Young back is a wise decision!
The most complicated relationship that of the main leads takes up the rear. Unlike Myung Joo and Dae Young who are both in the military, Dr. Mo Yeon is not, hence her dilemma. It can't be easy to let someone into your life who puts their life on the line at a moments notice. I wish her luck coming to terms with that.
The saying that goes what people did to you to hurt you turns in your favor comes to mind when I think of Dr. Mo Yeon's boss who sent her to that dangerous place. I can see her getting her humanity back, and it's a good thing.
The most epic part of this episode for me was the boot exchange! Now that was some powerful stuff!
Despite the lack of words the writers do a great job showing us who cares about who.
I also love the way the writers broke down the emergency scene for us novices, by sharing about the tagging of persons with the different colors. I like learning new things, so that was a great addition.
I loved how Myung sent Dr. Mo Yeon over to assist the young Doctor in that emotional scene when he had his first taste of losing a patient.
All in all this was for me the best episode yet!
The bromance was off the charts in this episode. Actually the 2 couples and their interactions amongst each other is just really, really good. I like it when the women go at it, the dudes hang out, and they have their down time with the women they love.
In this episode, we see that "absence makes the heart grow fonder", which really solidifies that this is an epic love because otherwise it would be "out of sight out of mind". When you realize that you're gonna love the person whether they are by your side or not, then it takes away all your defenses. Now, not loving the guy because you don't get to spend time with him means less. This is when you just wish to savor every second and moment you have with this person and fully understand "life is too short to let the sweet moments pass you by". I'm really glad that she's finally realized this fact. As for Si Jin, he never, never, ever changes. He loves her. He knows it. He admits it. He respects her. He lets her go. It still doesn't stop him from caring, and it never will. He doesn't work that way. He's dedicated, loyal, persistent, and committed. That's just the kind of "good guy" he is and one you realize you shouldn't let go. Men aren't made this way as much anymore.
I think Myung Ju's dad is coming around. If he isn't and it's just my imagination, he should. There would be no better, more committed man to turn his daughter over to by Dae Yeong. PERIOD. He would also get the added benefit of having a son-in-law completely respectful of you as a father and your status. The only conflict he would ever have are the ones he creates for himself. Dae Yeong would 100% always respect his father-in-law and his position.
Looks like next week will be a whole lot more over dramatization, but at least I'm certain of one thing, and one thing only, Yoo Si Jin won't die. You can be sure of that one!
