Main leads married life & ML's family are worth watching this series.
First of all, whole story plot is predictable. FL saved ML from depression & ML supported her whenever she needs him. After 15th episode, their married life started in actual sense.Initially, FL was too much irritating being clingy to ML. But i guess her clinginess treated ML's OCD. Initially she portrayed strong character but later her character went down as she always created problems because of her insecurities. ML was one the one who was patient with her throughout the series... Even i couldn't tolerate her sometimes but ML had way too much patience for her.
SFL was too selfish in the whole series that she lost everything one by one because of her own lies even after so much hard work. She got what deserve. SML was too biased. He is also somewhat selfish once its about his mother.
What i don't get why there is a need of breakup of 3 couple( Saemi- Young soo). No logic at all... Uncle-aunt's love story is comic & enjoyable.
Felt pity for FL's mom... She wasted her whole youth for such a despicable & disgusting person.
ML 's family was amazing... That's how a family should be specially in-laws relationship with daughter in law. On contrast other mother in laws were shown cruel to their daughter in law just because they don't them.
Most annoying character is FL's Biological Dad. Initially i loved his optimistic character but later he became most pathetic... He was too selfish to admit his fault & nade many people suffers just because of his cowardness. He didn't deserve anybody's love. Although he got his punishment but i wasn't satisfied with his ending.
Overall, this series is only watchable because of Main leads relationship & FL relation with her inlaws.

Fine...
Extremely slow and full of endlessly recycled events, 64 episodes for two main stories that is Ji Young shenanigans and the search of that brain-dead father. At least it was heartwarming smooth sailing for the leads, not much conflict you only see them love each other for the 100th time. I didn't like how the drama made the female lead as if she came from an alien planet and just started to learn about the human race. On the other hand, the ending left many things unfinished despite this long run, the last episode was dedicated to a 4-years time skip and yet that didn't accomplish much. Why have it then? The drama is fine but it felt empty for a 64 episodes drama. P.S. the leads' kid doesn't resemble them at all!Was this review helpful to you?
Classic and full of emotions!
This is a love story, but also a story about family and connections. This amazing drama from 2007 is packed with references of those years. Music is a good example, if you pay close attention and you remember those years you will be able to make the connection.
This drama is different from most I have seen, since this one allows you go deeper into the relationship between the main leads. Other dramas will feel only like an introduction after you watch this one, since most dramas end where this one starts. You will get to see a married couple going through a lot together with unwavering determination.
The story is full clichés, but my opinion about clichés is the following: They are good as long as they are well integrated in the story and they have a good justification; which is the case in Golden Bride.
The love story between the leads is wonderful, but it takes a few episodes to kick in, since they take their time developing the characters from the families that will inevitably clash causing most of the drama.
The leads relationship is worth watching and enjoying throughout the 64 episodes of Golden Bride. You will see them meet, create sparks, fall in love and remain in love. They will have issues, but nothing that they cannot overcome together.
Of course, there are antagonists on this story, but they are not completely evil. There are only a few devils on this story, but the main ones will be selfishness, cowardice and envy. I like how these antagonists have their redeeming side as well, since they are not monsters, they are only human.
As mentioned above, this is not only about love, but about family, so you will get to see the life of the parents and siblings and their own side stories. Some of them seem to exist for comedy relieve, but they strongly contribute to the main story.
There is also the contrast between the main leads and the secondary couple. How they can be the complete opposite at times will have you thinking about real love and karma.
Overall, this is a beautiful love story with a lot of family drama but stronger connections, which will make you laugh, cry, get mad, but laugh again and feel what family means, and most of all, that love conquers all.
