"Isn't loving a person all about happiness? There's also pain...and the suffering."A little bit cheesy, but I enjoy watch this movie. It can make me smile and warmed my heart at some point I want to re-run my high school time LOL
Well, I'm kinda amaze why Ninako can see others true intention really quick. I can't do that (^_^;) I give my salute to her because she can act (almost) normal after Ren reject her. I appreciate Mayuka's act of letting Ren go after she saw his gaze over Ninako on fireworks festival. But the part which make my heart melted is when Ren folding up his sweater which lent to Ninako on the class trip <3

Overall cute, but Ando was the protagonist
To be honest, while watching the film I wondered whether Ando was the real protagonist of the story or not.To begin with, Ninako confessing her feelings at the beginning of the movie was refreshing and cute. I really liked her and Ren's character. Mayuka's character wasn't as bad as I expected, I feel sad for her because it seems to me that she still loved Ren a lot when she decided to break up (I think that she even mentioned that, didn't she?). When it comes to the other characters, except for Ando, they're so forgettable... Neither Ninako's friends nor the boy who confessed to her had so much screentime. I don't know about the original work, but I believe they should had more opportunities to support her or show the boy's crush on her.
On the other hand, when it comes to Ando's character I found him quite annoying almost for the first half of the film. Even though, I think he's the most important character there? He had his own trauma and character development, he was the obstacle for the protagonist to date and also the person who made them date at the same time. It was as if the story was about Ando's unrequited love stories. I came to like him at the end of the movie, but if it weren't for him I don't think NinaRen would have had that story...
Anyways, overall it was a cute shojo movie to watch. I enjoyed it, though I'm not into triangle-love-stories.

This isn't a movie where a girl pathetically and annoyingly chases after the guy whom she has feelings for. This is a movie where a girl appreciates being friends with the guy and doing things to sincerely support him.
The movie successfully show that love isn't all rainbows and glitters. You have to face unexpected storms in order for you to grow stronger. Along the way, feelings might be unknowingly suppressed but it would soon be acknowledged because the people around you will remind you.

Kinda boring
*“Strobe Edge” is a high school love story. I watched this movie in 2024, though it was originally released in 2015. By the time I watched it, I had already seen many similar stories, so compared to those, this one felt a bit bland. It lacked excitement or unique twists. The movie moves at a fast pace, likely because the direction skips over trivial details and doesn’t dive deep into character development or emotional nuances. The plot revolves around a girl with unrequited love. She’s in love with a boy who already has someone else in his heart. Despite knowing this, she confesses her feelings to him, telling him that she understands he loves someone else but just wanted to express her emotions. She even says it’s okay if they remain just friends. As the story progresses, the boy becomes confused about his feelings, wavering between his current love and the girl’s confession. Without giving away any spoilers, you'll have to watch the movie to see what happens next.
Personally , I found it boring
