Kurosagi: The Movie (2008)

Well i am one of those people who fell in love with Kurosagi the drama and was impatiently waiting for the movie. I was hoping that they would finish the drama in a great way but i was kind of disappointed in the story and the movie's events; it's like they went to point 0 of the drama just like nothing happpened at the end which made me angry but being able to see Kurosagi's tricks all over again worth watching.
If you watched the drama you'il probably dislike this but as i said earlier seeing the old tricks worth wasting your time on it.
Yes it could have been better but the effort is granted.

If you loved the Kurosagi series, then you probably will not like this movie. For me, it didn't add any closure, especially with the relationship between the main cast. Maki only had 5 minutes in the entire movie. It was just like another normal episode. I loved the music and Yamapi did a great job with his character, but it was just Yamapi, the cop, and the old guy the entire time.



I was very disappointed. So if you have seen the series and watch this, just think of it as a bonus episode and not a movie. If you haven't already watched the series then I suggest you do because it is quite clever and enjoyable.

Kurosagi is a film about deception. The movie didn't appeal to me as much as I thought it would. I think this is the result of watching too much Leverage. Another American series that I got myself hooked up with. For me that series had more substance than this film. There were so many empty plots on how he was able to trick a trickster. The only reason why I gave this a try is to see if Yamapi would stand to the name that people has given him. He is so far one of the youngest sought out actor in Japan, so I wanted to give this movie a try.

So far, it gave me a huge disappointment. Not even Yamapi nor Horikita Maki could make me raise this this to 10.

You'll be dissapointed ...

I'm maybe late here but I still want to inform potential viewers about this movie

let's cut to the chase, if you had fell in love with the series i would suggest you to not put your hopes up on this movie.

you wouldn't get as much excitement as you would felt watching the series, for instance.
there are some aspects that are "chotto" unsatisfying, if you had watch the series I'm sure that you're familiar with the theme song.. sadly the theme song only played once in this movie and the timing isn't even right, it is played in the middle of the movie when kurosaki was talking about his plans, they didn't play it in crucial moments like when kurosaki revealed his final move to his victim (like usual and i find that really interesting and exciting as a viewer) and I found that really unsatisfying.. i just couldn't see the final blow being the final blow when "daite daite daite senorita tsuyoku tsuyoku tsuyoku hanasanaide" isn't playing

the other thing.. let's treat this "movie" as a long bonus episode.
Nothing happened in the movie that was able to make viewers goes "WOW" the story is obviously great, but this isn't worth being a movie i just felt as if it's another episode and the storyline here is just not what many people were expecting

overall, I'm disappointed in this movie and I'm sure I'm not the only one
