I have known this drama before I had watched it. I have my hopes up for this drama and to be honest, it doesn't satisfy me that much. Some parts and scenes disappoints me. Like for the bullying, I think it would be better if the 3 bullies got punished and not just Kang so-young. And I agree, Eun-bi have a better chemistry to taekwang than Yi An.

The fight between eun-bi and so-young too is too lacking(?). Like i didn't see much about their drama that's why i think eun-bi didn't get the justice that she deserves. For me the drama is too focused on the love life of the characters.

I'll give this a 6/10. I didn't like it that much. This is a lesson for me that not all overrated/known dramas are great and a 10/10.

This drama was pretty disappointing overall. I kept putting off watching this drama until one day I just decided to watch it, mainly for Nam Joo Hyuk after watching him in Moon Lovers and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Book Joo and falling in love with him and his acting.

I was looking forward to this drama because the cast looked pretty good with Kim Soo Hyun and Sung Jae, but this drama really didn't do as well as it could have. Some parts of the drama where fairly good except rather confusing at times especially with the mysteries surrounding the storyline.

The characters were not developed which was disappointing. I don't think I ever saw Lee Eun Bi grow as a character or student at all, and at times her character can be very depressing to watch because she does not show much emotion. Han Yi An did grow as a swimmer, but didn't see much of him overall in the drama so can't tell if he grew as a person. And Kim So Young was such a pain in the butt to watch because just when you think the whole fiasco with her and Lee Eun Bi is over, she comes back and ruins everything again and again.

Surprisingly, this drama had so pretty good music, but really only one song tbh. "Reset" was the only song that I thoroughly enjoyed and whenever that song came up in a scene it automatically made that scene more enjoyable and emotional.

This drama has a love triangle which I was really looking forward to because I love dramas with love triangles but this drama was lacking in really showing it. There wasn't much interaction between Gong Tae Kwang, Han Yi An, and Lee Eun Bi especially in the beginning but increased in the last couple episodes but was still lacking and inconclusive. This drama has one of the best love triangles- but only because both lovelines were underdeveloped since there was so little interaction/actual romance so you can't really tell who is the main guy she will end up with. I felt like it was mainly just friendly love and support rather than actual love. No scenes had me drawn with love for the OTP or romance.

The ending was definitely unsatisfying. It ended on a happy and light note but the romance was very inconclusive; not sure if they actually ended up together or not, and was more of a 'meh, you're here, how have you been' kind of situation. Overall, pretty disappointing drama as I was looking forward to it but give it a go you might like this school themed drama.

This was one of the best dramas that I had ever watched! Kudos to all the crew and production especially the actors and actresses. I personally love these kinds of genre because it reflects the reality not only to students but to our parents or even relatives that may have had encountered these situations.

STORY: The story was outstanding! It's perfectly constructed. Smart to begin with a thriller preview and then slow-building it up to present a heart-warming yet bittersweet ending. Although, it might have not reached others expectations but to me, life doesn't just simply goes on what anyone expect.

ACTING: Kim So-hyun is just one of the best young actresses so far. She portrayed the characters well, from emotions to gestures, it's well-done! She will have a great future ahead of her. I also love how Cho Soo-young had made her character so hateful that even the audience hates her lol! But she's one of the most wonderful actresses out there too, same goes for other actors, they all made and did a great job!

MUSIC: I love the OST! It's so catchy and it really connects with the story line (cause some OST does not lol).

REWATCH VALUE: Definitely!

OVERALL: It's a grand masterpiece! Lots of Love and Kudos!

Good slice of life

I really enjoyed this one. It was unlike any other I have seen, but God I’ve never wanted to strangle anyone more in my life than So-yeong!

I was intrigued by the story, but it did take me a while to settle into it as it was so upsetting/distressing to begin with. All of the bullying was so confronting and I felt so sorry for Eun-bi. I just don’t understand bullies and why they do it.

This drama did a good job of covering a lot of aspects of a teenager’s life; from bullying to parent issues, it portrayed a range of different scenarios that teenagers can find themselves in. Obviously it is a show aimed at teenagers so I think it would do a good job of engaging them as they might be able to relate and empathise with what some of the characters go through.

I felt for Tae-gwang when he got rejected - the poor guy.

Up until it was revealed that Eun-byeol was in fact alive, I was so confused because I felt like I missed something. It was interesting to see how Tae-gwang knew which twin was which straight away.

I particularly liked Tae-gwang’s personal growth - besides the rejection, I felt happy for him in the end.

I liked how it ended which Eun-byeol and I-an. In general it wrapped up well.

I obviously really enjoy a slice-of-life drama and this one lived up to my expectations.

Such a great drama

This is one of the first dramas I've watched, when I started watching K-Dramas, I always watched light-hearted romance stuff and this is the first drama I've watched that is really a drama at some points. This was such a good drama that opened my eyes towards K-Drama and started watching more dramas that has rich stories after this. I think the story is great and executed well. The OST too is so good. I love this drama so much and will always be one of the highlights for me, this is on my Top 5 favorite K-Dramas of all time. But at the end I wished she picked Gong Tae Kwang cause my boy is rich and loves you like why did she picked Nam Joo Hyuk when he is poor lol, unpractical, he's just amazed by Nam Joo Hyuk's body that's why she picked him lmao, anyways, the acting was good, the story was so good, the actors did the characters justice and fits them well, it's such a great drama that I recommend everyone should watch.

The highlights of the drama for me is the Reset OST, that song is so good and I will forever remember it in my heart and my ears lol, also the savage scene of bullying the bully was so good oh my god, I still remember that scene to this day, I got chills whenever I saw a clip of it on social medias. I love this drama.

More than meets the eye!

When you watch a show where an actor essays a double role you are more critical because you want to see how well they pull off each character without confusing the audience.

Kim So Hyun, at 16 no less, nails both Eun Bi and Eun Byul with such finesse that I was left amazed through and through. This story highlights how tough school is for kids in SK, parental expectations and peer pressure, not to mention harsh bullying. It’s a tough competitive world and the reality of the stress and pressure students must feel everyday is depicted really well. There’s also a whole lot of mystery, that keeps you wanting more and more. Nicely done in my opinion.

Now what wasn’t well done was the love triangle. There were two girls for two guys, so why couldn’t each have a happy ending??? I‘ll never understand it, and I’ll never forgive them for not giving Gong Tae-Kwang a better ending.

One of the best high-school dramas. Would've given it a perfect score if the ending was according to what majority of the viewers eagerly awaited for. Just don't think about whether to watch it or not and give it a go. You'll love it!
What I liked:
The cast specially Kim So Hyun was fantabulous. Her dual role in this drama is top notch and you can feel the difference between the two characters instantly.
The story line was also good and focused mainly on father-son,mother-daughter,teacher-student and friends which made it a lot more appealing apart from the romance.
What I disliked:
The only thing I disliked was the ending. Like c'mon,it wouldn't have been so hard for the writers to come up with the ending the viewers craved for. I was heart-broken with the ending.
Caution: The second-lead syndrome in this drama is for real!

I really enjoyed this drama and I had high hopes especially because it starred Kim So Hyun and Nam Joo Hyuk! However, I found the ending heartbreakingly disappointing especially because in my opinion, the couples that got together were just not right. I was frustrated with the fact that Eun Byul and Eun Bi's characters became so similar by the end of the plot and Tae Gwang had such a sad ending. Also, there were a lot of things left unsolved... like the ashes that were supposed to be Eun Byul's? Who's was that btw? Also, Kang So Young was a character that tremendously irritated me; I feel she was an unnecessary character and although the show was trying to raise the issues associated with bullying, Kang So Young's character dragged it on a bit too much to the point where I was skipping several parts of an episode whenever she was on screen. Honestly though, I have to commend Kim So Hyun and SungJae's acting. I absolutely loved their on screen time together and wished the ending was different but the OST, 'Reset' was the highlight of the show. I absolutely loved listening to it whenever it came on!!

This is an amazing show, I loved the story line, even though I definitely do have second lead syndrome, I understood each of the characters motivations. At times the story does become diluted, they tried to add a lot of plot to fill each hour long episode, and while the scenes are shot wonderfully there are some inconsistencies with hair or with props and things like that, small things most people don't pick up on. Overall, I encourage you to watch this movie, it deals with serious topics in a very smart way, and it shows you the dark and light times we all have in high school. All of the acting was brilliant, when they laughed, I did, when they cried... Not gonna lie, I most definitely sobbed, specifically with Yook Sung Jae's character. I feel like in some parts of the story, there were things that were added but never fully explained, however I was happy with the ending and the message it said in the end. To reach out to anyone if you see them hurting and tell them "it's okay to hurt." Of course there was romance, suspense and mystery, but the core of the story was just that, that it's okay not everything is okay and that you have to keep your head up, don't let anyone knock you down. Anyways, if you've made it this long through my review, thanks. And really, really, watch it.

2nd lead syndrome

My 2nd lead syndrome begun here. I started rooting for the 2nd lead because of this drama. I wanted so hyun to end up with seungjae. They had enough screen time together and it was sort of romantic for high school students that is but they still didn't end up together!! ???

I started reading fanfics of them together because of this drama!! I wanted them to end up together so badly, I resorted to fanfics!!

Pros:
1. A beautiful high school drama that isn't too packed or overrated.
2. Beautiful story of friendship and budding love.
3. There is character growth.
4. Realism of bullying and how its done is realistic.
5. The beauty of sisterhood is lovely to watch. How the other twin who is more bolder protects the more kinder one is beautiful.
6. Beautiful visuals. All the teenager characters really do look like teenagers.
7. Beautiful and close ended ending!

Cons:
1. 2nd lead syndrome
2. Somehow bland ending

Worst Case of Second-Lead Syndrome

I did really enjoy this show overall and it was a good filler show when I didn't know what to start. I will say though, Tae-Gwon would have been a wayyyy better suitor for Eun-Bi. Yi-An was in love with Eun-Byeol for 10 years and has all these memories with her so it doesn't feel as satisfying that he switched teams after Eun-Byeol came back. On the otherhand, Tae-Gwon and Eun-Byeol were not even friends at any point and Eun-Bi was the first to understand him and he was finally able to be himself around someone, not just the person they expected him to be. Eun-Bi was also able to open up to him first and she met him first so it just doesn't feel right that she ends up with Yi-An??? Like, I thought it was weird when Eun-Byeol was still 'dead' because he would see Eun-Byeol whenever he looked at Eun-Bi but it was so much worse when she came back because they literally were "more than friends" for like 10 years?? I don't know... I liked the rest of the show but that aspect really bothered me.

Truly one of the best of the School Series, this 2015 version was amazing. The storyline from the first episode was fantastic, they were able to keep you hooked from the very first episode. It's very nicely paced drama, it keeps you on your toes, but it doesn't confuse you. I commend the writers for being able to keep the entire season exciting and fun. Now So hyun and Joo hyuk storyline seemed too rushed for it to be real, she was able to get to know Sung Jae much better than Joo hyuk. It seemed like the writers made her have more chemistry and history with Sung Jae than the actual main lead. That was an aspect I didn't understand or like. Overall, really interesting watch.
