Story:
I liked the Story of a rich daughter who wants to live like 'normal' people and falls in love with a Man who is from a poor background. It wasn't perfect for me, but it is okay. I liked it, so it get 9 of 10 points.
Acting:
I watched UEE in Dramas like Ojakgyo Brothers and Golden Rainbow, in which she acted very well. Honestly, in my opinion this Acting wasn't her best. I liked her more in Ojakgyo Brothers and in Golden Rainbow. Furthermore, she and Sung Joon didn't have a good chemistry. At the Beginning of the Drama I liked the Acting from the four Main Actors, but then...UEE disappointed me. Sung Joon acted very well. I watched him in Lie to me (*-* he was so cool) and in Hyde, Jekyll, me (I didn't like his role, but his acting was awesome *-*). In High Society he acted as the best friend of Park Hyungsik and a man who comes from a poor family. Park Hyungsik (who I like since What happened with my Family?) played a chaebols son who is a playboy. But I think he played the role well. I was not sure, if he could play a role like this after his role in What happened with my family, but he was very good. Im Jiyeon (a newcomer actress) played the colleague and best friend of UEE. ... Wow. I didn't know this was her first ever main role in a drama (her first role EVER in a drama). She was so awesome and sometimes I hoped UEE would act like her v.v.
Music:
The OST was good and the Music at the end of each episode I like.
Rewatch Value:
When I watch this drama again, then for Sung Joon and Im Jiyeon, but not for UEE. But I think I won't watch this again in the near future.
If you like the Actors and Actresses, I woul recommend this drama to you, but it isn't a Must watch.

I can sympathize with Uee, though she loses points when she starts blatantly using her chaebol status to get what she wants even though that goes against... her entire... mission statement... and the second leads are adorable, if only because they aren't allowed to do a lot outside of occupy typical rich boy - poor girl drama. The music is fine, the chaebol drama was fucking boring, and the details of the male main lead's home life are the only thing I care about. His parents are adorable, that is all.

The best is Ji Yi, the most surprising and fresh character here. How smart, understanding and open-hearted she is, the way she reacts to others attitude... can somehow influence your own mind. I dont like the acrtess's (Im Ji Yeon) look and acting at all, but I love the character and only it. She is a poor peson who'd never do bad things to become rich, but she's really different from similar characters of other dramas.
Second favorite is Chang Soo, a rich guy with beautiful heart and handsome look. Of course he fell in love with the personality of Ji Yi, everyone falls for her, even his arrogant richy mother did. He turned to be a very sensitive and sensual guy. He is a rich guy who can not give up his status, money and family just because of love, but instead he convince the high society to love his lover too!
Park Hyung Shik was the best at acting here, for me, he expressed the feelings so freakingly good.
I liked Yoon Ha and Joon Ki too. Just these characters seem not written good enough. I even liked Uee here, though I never liked her before.
Yoon Ha is my third favorite here. A rich girl who doesn't want to live in the high society world and believes in pure love.
JoonKi is a raw character. He is a poor guy who wants to be a part of high society no matter what, but still has kind heart.
Sung Joon is the actor who I don't like any role of and I don't know if he is A good or bad actor, but I'm attracted to his personality... I don't know how it happened, I think the reason is that his facial expessions are lively, he is not the robot kind of face.
I litirary skipped ALL the scenes with other characters. (One exception is the scenes of Joonki's mother with Yoonha or JoonKi.) So actually I watched only about halves or less of every episode. I hate that spoiled high society arrogant stupid talkes and cliches. It is just disguisting.
That's it)

Predictable Soap Opera vibes
I started this drama just for park hyungsik that’s my man lmao, and I reallllly enjoyed changsoo and ji yi’s story line, hyungsik is naturally very funny and charismatic so it translates really well in this roll and ji yi as his counterpart matched his energy and really made the show for me. I can’t say the same for the main couple though, I found myself skipping most of their scenes just out of like boredom, I also didn’t feel as much of a connection between their characters. Also I skipped the old ppl storyline entirely it was very much filler it had no substance to the actual main storyline going on and felt like it was just taking up space to fill up the 16eps. I will say it’s worth giving it a try but it’s not the best and not the worst, it’s definitely cute for the second leads like they definitely saved the show for me. Had me giggling and rolling around watching them two.Was this review helpful to you?
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would
Sometimes I read reviews, sometimes I don't. I love romance, melodrama, not so much. I don't know what made me start watching this, especially after reading so many negative comments. This was the classic chaebol melodrama, class separation, back-stabbing family, etc. I liked the main characters for numerous reasons, however.Uee as Yoon Ha. This character could have been a spoiled rich girl. But, even with all the money and status, her family was a nightmare, each and every one of them. She tried so hard to get a scrap of affection from each of them, but they were so busy trying to climb their way to the top they had no use for her. She decided to break free and work as a part-timer at a grocery store. She has rebelled against her status and wants to live like a "regular person" (though she's still living in her family home and living off their money, so how free could she be?) I liked her. She appreciated and was true to her friendship with Ji Yi. (there was wonderful sismance here).
Sung Joon as Joon Ki. I really liked his storyline. He wanted to be in the upper echelon and wasn't above trickery to get there. I loved watching his interactions with others, I was never quite sure about his motives, if he was being truthful, or if it was all to get ahead. His character grew a lot throughout the drama. Plus, he has a beautiful deep voice.
Park Hyung Sik as Chang Soo. I had a love/hate relationship with this character. Multiple shower/workout scenes - loved. He's a beautiful crier. He is so cute when he is drawn to a woman and I really liked his surprise at liking a woman "for real" after having just been a player previously. Chang Soo and Ji Yi had a very cute relationship that was, for the most part, fun to watch. He's got that sarcastic humor down to an art. Good romance and good kisses. My problem with this character was his being a total doormat to his mom. She was going to decide who he married, she threatened Ji Yi multiple times and made no bones about the fact that marriage was for status. I absolutely hated how weak he was. It reminded me of the ML in Boys Over Flowers, who I hated for the same reason. You're absolutely in love, but going to marry who mommy tells you to. Even toward the end, I felt that he was compromising with his mom and felt that there would always be a problem there.
Im Ji Yeon as Ji Yi - effervescent personality. Loyal friend. Forgiving soul. I didn't like some of the conversations she had with Chang Soo - "I've decided I'm going to like you", etc. I went back and forth between admiring her and thinking that she needed to get a spine.
Jang Hyung Soon as Chang Soo's mother - Surprisingly, I loved to hate her. She was a force to be reckoned with, but her scenes between her and her son were fun to watch in a "there's an accident on the other side of the road and I don't want to look but I can't help myself" way. And when she met Ji Yi, you always felt that Ji Yi had the upper hand and Chang Soo's mom was busy trying to figure out where she went wrong. Funny!
I went back and immediately re-watched the final four episodes to see again the growth in the characters. They learned from their mistakes and were moving forward. I liked how none of the main characters were over-dramatic, for the most part. The ending was kind of love/hate for me. As usual with K-dramas, the ending was kind of rushed. We got a proposal (loved) but we also had a married couple that went through so much to be together, but now all they do is squabble. That was a letdown for me.

ENTANGLED
Yes, this word describes this drama perfectly.Firstly, I would like to ask if you've watched this writer's drama before?
If yes, you know how it's gonna be like which is just awesome.
If not, give this a try.
Also, the fact that this is a low budget drama, nothing fancy, it sticks to the basic script provided and the direction is good enough.
But More than half of the screenplay in this drama for the side family characters was a hassle, I skipped it.
But what kept me watching this was the quad couple.
This has to be one of the most fascinating drama's I've watched.
Brilliant chemistry, authentic dialogues, sensible and impeccable conversations.
You rarely come across all these.
As for the word entangled, this drama has every character entangled to each other, and as the episodes progress the web keeps on solving itself.
You realize how the characters you disliked initially had a pov that mattered.
Everything has a reason and subtle, honest conversations can have a calming effect on everything.
Issues can be resolved.
It's a lovely drama to have come across and be watched.
Also, this is the first drama where the 2nd couple almost threw away, more like overrode the 1st couple.
Their characterization and chemistry was damn brilliant.
Overall a must watch drama if you've patience and you love to learn the real progression.
Could it have been better? Yes certainly!
Is it the best out there? Nope.
But does it do its job? Yes, pretty much.
But that's the feeling you get with every drama .
Special mention to Park Hyung Shik, the guy has the talent to be a mega star.
Especially after watching his performance on Suits.
He literally stole the lime light from everybody in this drama , even Uee and Sung Joon.

Typical Drama
I was skeptical to watch this drama based on the reviews I saw but overall it was just a typical drama relating to social status, family drama, deceit, and romance. I’ve been watching a lot of newer dramas recently so I personally enjoyed this drama since it was an average older drama. There’s nothing to special I can say but the second lead romance had a great story line. The first leads was kind of a whirlwind but it was still enjoyable! Overall a good drama if you’re looking for a typical dramaWas this review helpful to you?
