Alright, it's an old drama, the fashion is terrible, the filming is so so, and it's based on a teen manga- but it's dramatic and romantic. It's not a long winded series where you have to wade through half a dozen episodes before anything happens. Every episode is eventful, the plot lines are pretty direct, the villain is obvious and you'll love to hate her, and all of those classic shameless drama issues occur. If you like Taiwanese dramas and can stomach the dated fashion, it's worth it. It's not going to be your favorite, it's not even worth a good rating, but it's a clean cut and satisfying drama.
Peach Girl was a decent drama. I know there were some rather negative reviews on it, but I've seen much worse for dramas. The story's plot is rather addicting. My brother isn't one for chick flicks or girly shows, but he was hooked from the first episode just because of the main antagonist. You can't help but want to see how the story ends due to all the antagonist's scheming and all the bad scenarios that fall down on the main character. Overall I didn't care for the main character. She came off as kinda crabby and unfriendly throughout the series. If I were a guy, I wouldn't see why the two guys like her so much if it weren't for her true care and love for others. To me, her attitude would be unpleasant and uncomfortable to be around. But minus that, I thought the characters were played well. The music wasn't all too memorable, but I still found them enjoyable. This drama for some reason gets better and better every time I watch it. It doesn't get old to me. Overall, I didn't think this drama was nearly as bad as some of the previous reviews.
This drama is terrible, with chock-full of bad acting and bad casting. The only good thing about it is Van Ness Wu, which was why I started watching Peach Girl in the beginning anyway. He is charming and got the playboy, devil may care attitude down to a "T". I confess that I might be a little biased when it comes to Vanness, but to me, he always brings a fresh and easygoing feel to a otherwise repressed atmosphere that sometimes Asian dramas have due to their culture.
I will try to stick around for a few more chapters just so I can see him a little bit more. That is, if I can stand the bad acting and the over the top bullying going around. :/
