Magical build up.

The chemistry and emotions here between the characters is pure magic! Maybe some viewers will find this to be slow. However, the characters and plots are developing. There are no flashbacks. You know those annoying dramatic ones where they flash mindless amounts of the couples romance to intensify things. So far this a dash of flashback as Sun Ae tries to regain her memory and then a tiny flashback on the romance between them. OK, so that's there. But it was short, sweet, and there was actually a romance to flash in on.

What I love more is that this isn't just a romance between Bong Seon/Sun Ae and Seon Woo. Bong Seon and Sun Ae have developed a relationship. Bong Seon see's Sun Ae as not only an older sister, but as one of her first real friends. One who knows her struggles with ghosts and what she's done to hide herself from people. While it's not as developed as their relationship could be, I appreciate the writers going there none the less.

Oh My Ghost captures my heart in that there is legit romance. A lot of times with dramas we're lucky if the leads ever truly get a decent kiss, let a lone hold hands on purpose. I enjoy that they've had real kisses, plenty of cute physical contact, and that sex is part of their discussions. It feels more real. It helps that I do find the characters developed enough that I've made an emotional connection with them. Especially now that things are getting scary. Sun Ae is suspicious of her death, and now Seong Jae is even more clued in! Not to mention that Sun Ae's time is running out. There's also the pressure of Bong Seon not really being in residence enough to carry on her romance without Sun Ae, not to mention that her cooking skills have not developed. It's a minor thing, but I'm pretty sure things are going to start crumbling down. The suspense is killing me!
