Dokgo-Poisonous drum. You'll die if you hear the beat.This mini series reminded me of Tong Memories. It had the same concept: who ever is the best fighter gets mad props and will be feared by many.
So here's where I'll describe the two: Tong, I believe had 9 mini episodes. If you banked them all together, they probably equaled out to one episode of Dokgo Rewind. Dokgo had 20 mini episodes which was combined into 4-40+ minute episodes.
In my opinion this was much better because there were no cut scenes when a fight was about to ensue. There were female side kicks in both but in Tong they made it seem like the females were going to fight but didn't.
This series didn't have that. Everyone fought where as in Tong, the main character barely fought.
This is the kind of dramas that drew me into what Korea had to offer in the first place.
I'm a action fanatic and if martial arts gets thrown in, then you have made yourself a happy woman!
This had fighting scenes throughout. I love how things went in my favor. There were some sad parts which I wasn't expecting but the justice was done in the right places.
As I said, I'm a action fanatic and there were reviews where this series was disliked. I was going to pass on this because of the negative reviews but this isn't for everybody. It certainly was for me.

The action/fight scenes were impressive. And I like when fights are more realistic, if they completely exagerrate the fights I will loose interest but in this drama it is fine and I was very surprised Sehun truly were amazing at fighting scenes. The main character truly suits Sehun, cold, cool and warm at the same time. The cast honestly was very good, I like the skill of the "small" guy "Kim Jong Il" he became my favorite character of this drama alongside Hyuk (Sehun). The osts were good but I was expecting better osts but it was not bad. Also with this kind of drama, it is possible to re watch it without being bored. And that plot twist at the end I was absolutely not ready !
Overall it was a pleasant surprise, I hope a season 2 will come soon !

I dropped half a star because the director says he will never make a season two, come on guy, don't give up that quickly! With that ending, you're just going to leave us stranded? This would hit HUGE in 2023! Make it happen captain!This was epic, the cast was fantastic. The friendship was perfection! How they collected people, the wall of faces, the feelings it made us feel. We loved the OG 3 and everyone who came along we fell in love with as well. We watched them bond in blood, and it was beautiful. The pacing, the music, the storyline and OH MY GOD Oh Se-hun was absolute PERFECTION! I came for Ahn Bo Hyun but I staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayed for Se-Hun, don't worry Bo Hyun you're still in my tops and I love you! But Se-Hun was smaaaaaaaashing this one!!
Now the ending. Since there won't be a sequel, I suggest choosing your ending. There are two possible places it could have ended, feel free to choose the former to feel completed. The bomb they dropped in the actual ending was to much for my heart.

Drama started with action and finished with action . Only in action sehun looked cool he all the time seen in stubborn acting but he didn't maintained it so long .Sometimes loose acting had seen . So many characters were introduced and above all only four episodes so much mash up ....Characters were good but they do not used them much. First episode good but it got bored then .. they can shows love story but they focussed more in action .Twin stories were not much so why there was a need to show twin stories.Okay dramas

Confusingly short, but nice to watch
I was mainly just curious about Sehun's acting, and I think he's quite natural at it. He doesn't have one of those serious facial expressions that seem slightly forced, and the action sequences seemed well done to me.But I was completely confused at the way this abruptly ended, and was left wondering for a while if I was just not finding the rest of the episodes or if they really didn't exist. The ending honestly made me think the story was finally about to begin!
I also thought the acting of the "lead" girl was a bit weak, and the same goes for the actor that played her brother. All in all, I wouldn't really recommend this drama - I'm assuming it's more specific to people that read and liked the webtoon.

Dokgo rewind
One of the unpopular drama and definitely underrated. Episodes are short, we have interesting cast as Oh Se Hun, Kang Mi Na, Ahn Bo Hyun, Cho Byeong Kyu (I have watched because of him). Maybe plot is not a masterpiece but it is something "fun" to watch and I wish that there were second season, ending felt a little empty or rather like there should be more episodes.Was this review helpful to you?
Waste of a good potential.
This is the first time I'm rating so low a series. Like really. Can't believe the MDL score it up to 8.0, fans of Sehun are really eating up everything this guy does.Really average, barely decent series. The thing is that overall it's an action mini-series but everything was lacking.
The script is bad, I don't understand where the writers were going. The production and filming was horrendous, I mean it looked like a filming project series done by students. The camera and shots were shaking. Not to mention the acting, really lacking here, whether in all the characters or their lines. It was just plain bad.
The fighting choreographies were quite good but so slow, it was obvious that it was acting.
No, really this kind of series is really the opposite of what anyone wants to produce these days.
Honestly, "Weak Hero" tackles the same topics of bullying and school better, but overall "Weak Hero" in terms of production and writing is so much better, and I can't even imagine when we get season 2, who will do the delve into school gangs, what here "Dokgo Rewind" tried to do but ultimately, failed.
I do not recommend, a waste of time.

Assisti esse mini drama por conta do Sehun, e não imaginava que encontraria outros atores que amo haha como a Kang Mi Na, o Cho Byeong Kyu e o Ahn Bo Hyun. Teve mais cenas de luta que diálogos kkkk 80% do drama é de briga, soco e porrada! Meio confuso, algumas coisas desnecessárias, um bando de ator velho com uniforme escolar??!!! Este mini drama es interesante según lees la sinopsis. Lo bueno que tiene: muchas escenas de acción muy bien ejecutadas, las actuaciones a pesar de no ser lo más son aceptables. En cuanto leí la sinopsis tenía ciertas expectativas e ideas pero muchas de ellas no se hicieron realidad y aquí viene lo malo de este drama. Si tu no lees de que va y lo ves posiblemente te guste, si el género de la acción y demás es lo tuyo. Pero qué pasa si la lees y luego te lo ves, te quedas con una cara de tonta y preguntándote y la historia que prometían en la sinopsis donde está??? Porque no cuentan la parte cuando el prota, interpretado por Sehun, se va a la escuela de su hermano para vengarse. Esa parte no sale entonces pasa todo el maldito drama, llega el final y te ves a sehun en el espejo con el uniforme del instituto y ya.. se supone que esa parte lo mostrarían en la segunda temporada que nunca se estrenó ni se estrenará. Entonces como punto muy negativo le pongo que no cuentan lo que prometen, la historia que cuentan es anterior a lo sucedido y demás entonces no le veo el sentido.Was this review helpful to you?
