Cheese in the Trap Episode 5 Reactions
I like the idea that Jung actually does think differently. It's very cool that more dramas are getting behind the idea of mental illness, and how others may not think the same way. It's an emotional puzzle that Cheese in the Trap is presenting.
I will say I'm very disappointed how Seol is so willing, again and again, to distrust Jung. Even though after she jumped the gun a lot and blamed him for a lot of things that he didn't do. If she just thought about it for a moment she'd realize all the hard stuff he "made her endure for a year" was caused by a jealous girl. Not to mention rude people.
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. I'm guessing that Jung may not have had a real hand in In Ho's misfortunates, but maybe his lack empathy acts as a catalyst? I love speculating. Those flashbacks are finally happening and it's very interesting to see In Ho and In Ha's past being revealed. I can see why In Ha is that way, how she sees being a leech on people as an acceptable way to live. In Ho needs to quite enabling his sister, but I'm wondering if there's something even deeper going on there? It's all just one big tease at this point.
Taek and Bo Ra are so adorable together. It was moving to see Taek and Seol rally to Bo Ra. It's great how emotionally charged Cheese in the Trap is. Jung has becoming a very interesting character and it will be interesting to see Seol realize some things. It's not just monetary differences, he does think differently. Sadly apparently his differences are going to be making him look like a villain!

But even though I think that he'd be capable of murder I don't dislike him (because I'm biased, sorry), I don't want him to be in a relationship with Seol as long as he's the creep he currently is. Their relationship is currently unhealthy and it wouldn't make her happy over the long term and I want her to be in a relationship in which she feels secure. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how their relationship will unfold and how they will change and what role In Ho will play in all of this.

Many unknown things were explained throughout this episode, such as why In Ha acts the way she does- spoiled and desperate, why the Teacher Assistant has that kind of negative attitude towards Yoo Jung and Seol, etc. I also liked the fact that Seol stood up for herself more and voiced her opinions throughout the episode. In Ho's character is also starting to grow on me, and I can already feel him starting to develop feelings for Seol. He is extremely cute!
However, at this point I like both male leads, despite how mysterious and dark Yoo Jung is. I don't necessarily think his way of thought and actions are right, but they're reasonable in their own way. I like that we were given a glimpse into Yoo Jung's character and see things from his point of view. The plot just gets more and more complex and the ending really made me anticipate what will happen in the next episode! Also the background music for Yoo Jung's parts are fantastic! It fits everything that's happening so well!
Can't wait for episode 6!

Prior to my dream I was like, Yoo facial expressions are so reflective of his mood, his complex personility can be a bit daunting. Since he can look really scary when he's angry. Sinister comes to mind again. But am glad a few things are cleared up between YooSeol, and they are communicating a little better.
I was waiting for a full out brawl between Yoo Jung and In Ho, or at the very least a Lee Min Ho dropped kick, yes! I coined it, sorry to the Boys over flowers haters, every drop kick reminds me of him, just like Yoo sideways evil smile will remind me of Park Hae Jin. Sorry, off topic.
Back to the review... But I think, just like above, I drifted in my thoughts, somewhere in between the flackbacks. It was a bit flat, I wasn't emotionally invested. But I must say bravo to Hong Seol, she finally grew a pair, standing up to Yoo Jung finally. Forcing him to explained his bazaar behavior. Love me or hate me, pick a side Yoo Jung.
In Ho acts like an angry brat, but adorable and kind hearted. I love his firendship with Seol, she acts more natural around him than Yoo. Protector of Seol mode kicks in for In Ho, his sprint was very sexy when his sister called. I need to find a gif of that. Team In Ho, oh sorry, this was supposed to be unbiased, yea right, not!
The topic of gays was interesting in this episode, kdrama is getting controversial topics, I like it. If it offends you then don't watch.
Great acting, the argument between YooSeol was believable, but short lived, due to the crisis. I would have liked for it to last a few days. There relationship had a few tender moments here and there, but wait! when are we gonna get a kiss? A kiss follows a make up, writers.
Yoo can be very vindictive, an eye for an eye. Is his motto. Am kind of scared for Seol, breaking up with a guy like that would leave a lot of scares, if he's not ready to let go.
Reflection of a disturbed mind, But dude! if everyone saying YOU ARE WEIRD! Why won't you believe them? Just saying...
