Ah, there it is:

Second lead syndrome. It's my curse, my pain, and--sometimes--my absolute pleasure. Ah. I kept wondering how it would happen. If it would happen. Well play Cheese in the Trap. Well played.

Another great thing was how the writers played up the awkwardness of dating. Seol and Jung are very different people. So it's only natural that they clash. What I liked even more was that it was awkward for monetary reasons. Seol is poor and she's frugal. (Which I relate too.) Saving money is important. I like how even a coupon shows her how Jung is completely different. He's rich. He's use to having the best and money isn't an issue. It's something I've really enjoyed seeing so far, and love how it is shown as an issue. Seol isn't intimated or in awe of his wealth. She even questions him paying for everything, or trying to cover her extra course.

Jung is a cold character so I'm not 100% if he's picked up on that yet. But I enjoyed that that awkwardness of trying to get to know each other was there. There's miss communications and I'm curious to see him and Seol click. For him to open up and actually yield to the relationship. Especially since this episode also shows some personality traits that they both have, views that they stand on.

But I was talking about second lead syndrome before. In Ho really shines here. It's easy to fall for him with his easy personality and charisma. Especially when Seol has no problem communicating with him. They even have an amazing, fun, rain scene that just gave me the feels.

Even more importantly he doesn't just hit and run Seol with advise. He actually shows her and tells her how to stand up for herself. To not just bow and say "No it's not hard", "Yes, I'll work harder", and "I just need to work harder". It's awesome. And I love that Cheese in the Trap is saying it's a good thing for a woman--person--to thing. Even more they're showing how you can work up your courage. Standing up for yourself doesn't have to be big and showy.

So I'm at episode 4 and I still stand by my decision at episode 3. I'll be watching this drama to the end. I have a feeling that a lot of Jung's cruelness and cold demeanor is misunderstood. Growing up with people always wanting something from him, and who knows what else, has probably made him less trusting of people. I think that's why he likes Seol. She didn't want anything to do with him, and she didn't like him. It was probably refreshing. It's so refreshing how much I want all the back story now, even eager for those impending flashback. (I think Cheese in the Trap will pull them off flawlessly.) It's refreshing to just let the present story unfold and let some of the past events be mysterious. It will have more impact because we care for the characters now and already have impressions of them.

(I'm kind of sad that Seol will be moving. That door light is kind of a character now, I'll miss it.)

Yoo Jung

I had the urge to express what I'm feeling about Yoo Jung.

What's his deal? I still don't know if he's the good guy here or not. His fight with In Ho is confusing me, I like him too much with Seol, he's so cute. He gives weird vibes, but he surely can make someone feel special.

I'm thinking Yoo Jung is a good guy but something happened, something forced him do whatever he did to In Ho. I think In Ho is misunderstanding Yoo Jung, however Yoo Jung can't say anything about it.

Battle lines drawn

The push and pull of dating, the awkward first dates and the friend zone drawn. in Ho and Yoo Jung is at war and caught in the middle is Hong Seol, reminds me a little of the heirs drama. This episode left me a bit deflated, emotions wise, but loving the chemistry between In Ho and Hong Seol, maybe because am addicted to second leads, or that's what the writer wanted me to feel.

Hong Seol and Yoo Jung seem very awkward together, so am waiting on the chemistry there. The story develops at a fast pace so you don't get bored. I did not have to fast forward once or check the time to the end of the episode. Well done writers, loving it so far.

Yoo Jung confronted In Ho, by revealing his interest in Hong Seol, But somehow I don't think that will stop In Ho? Wae? To be continued...
