Story: As I mentioned, I love the theme of this drama. It's done well and there's a good balance between the scenes in present time and those in the past. It even has a nice twist at the end and the ending is satisfying. The only reason why I can't give this a 10 is because some things were a bit over the top -- and it did get on my nerves at times.
Acting: I won't say that Ahn Jae Hyeon completely redeemed himself but I didn't mind his acting here. As for the other actors it was my first time Ji Jin Hee (weird, I know!) and Lee Ji Ah. They played their characters well but it was nothing special. The chemistry felt a bit forced at first but by the end it was ok.
Overall: I'm giving this drama a 9 because it was nice and I'd definetly recommend it. I don't think its worth re-watching just because its such a cliche drama, there's not really anything new and exciting going on. Watching it again will just not be that fun.

The cross-dressing though—that was done very, very well. Lee Ji Ah's character actually felt like a male in drag (and a lovely maiden in a dress), to the point where the scenario started feeling like BL. Any comedic moments that made their mark came straight from here. Coffee Prince and Bromance have nothing on Snow Lotus. The story's one stab at uniqueness, combining this trope with reincarnation, made the whole thing watchable.
Ji Jin Hee seems to have taken up his character from The Man Who Can't Get Married, minus the humorous self-deprecation. This was the first time I saw Lee Ji Ah, but she did quite well as a dull pushover. It was hard to feel any romance between the two, but not for lack of their trying. Seo Ji Hye and Ahn Jae Hyeon had so little range that I don't feel comfortable commenting on their performances, but what little they showed was OK.
I can only hope director Song Hyun-Wook (Super Daddy Yul, Haeundae Lovers) and writer Min Ji-Eun (Old Goodbye) had temporary amnesia or some sort of terrible head cold for this project. They're better than this.

The Story:
I can't say much without spoiling it, but it's not as predictable as you might initially think! The way they blend the two different time periods together works surprisingly well too, and though the story in general is laden with cliches it was enjoyable and rather touching to watch. One of the characters honestly felt...a bit like a dead weight - seriously, what happened to them?! So there are, of course, flaws in the potential that could've been had with a plot like this: other than just that one unfortunately. But that being said, with a good pacing that comes with such short dramas as this one and a well-communicated sentiment, I do recommend giving this one a go.
The Acting:
Aaaaah~ Ah Jae Hyeon! I've been developing a soft spot for him lately what with watching You're All Surrounded and Cinderella and the Four Knights for example, and of course he acts superbly here too. Though I've had little to no experience with the rest of the cast they did a great job too. I can't fault them.
The Music:
Very appropriate. Perhaps a little better than most stereotypical tracks but not really something I'd remember easily. In saying that though it does set the mood very well instead of getting in the way.
Rewatch Value:
...There's only one reason I'd watch this again given being in the right mood, but alas, I cannot say without spoiling my favourite bit! I can't even hint, haha.
Overall:
Set your standards low and you'll be in for a treat. Snow Lotus is a memorable way to pass two hours of your time. I recommend it!

This could've done better as a drama
I like Ji Jin Hee from the jewel of the palace (2003) and gave this a try. This could have a more potential if this is a drama. The two episodes with the lucid dreams were a new concept, but the love between these two in the present life was really fast.
So the romance was lacking. If the ML and the FL had a kind of a long storyline than this, the plot would be better.
Maybe anybody would think the same. The moment he knew it was her and wants to be with her was so sudden even though they were lovers from the past. The tags were all good but holes in storyline.
This was a 2hr one but I watched with 1.5 speed at mostly.

The story is interesting- Two people share a dream of their love story in a past life and try to find each other. This has all the drama cliques, a crazy girlfriend, a broken down lift scene, slow motion hugs. Basically everything I love about Asian dramas.
The acting was very good, couldn't fault it at all. Seo Ji Hye was very good, I find that the protagonists can sometimes be over the top and comical, but she was very impressive. Although, as an engaged gay woman I found the protagonists "curse" to be hilarious.
The music really really started to grate on me, the same song was played every 20 minutes. I ended up having a migraine with the song playing over and over in my head like some kind of torture.
I would 100% watch this again in the future, it's a very easy drama to watch. While you do need to be paying attention to really understand the dreams, the episodes on netflix are very short and sweet.

Great Potential
I go back to watch this one every once in a while, always forgetting that it's kind of mediocre. It has a great setup and I love the idea but it isn't carried out well. I like the FL okay and even the villain keeps my interest (because it's a great twist) but the ML in modern day gets on my nerves. I really don't like how it's brushed over that he tries to choke the FL out over a misunderstanding. The historic couple is romantic but modern day couple are so unsuited for each other. The ML honestly should have gotten stuck with his fiancée and the FL should find someone else, even if she didn't want to be with that guy friend. Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting storyline
Great that this was not stretched over umpteen episodes.
Ji Jin Hee is indeed handsome. I liked the way his hair was in this drama, not so pristine.
I was nervous towards the end.
I would rewatch it at least once for clarification on a couple of timeline questions I have.
