To start of I am a kdrama fan and don't really bother wading from familiar waters, unless I see excellent reviews from a certain drama from different countries. Thai dramas I really really doubted, but boy was I in for a surprise with this one! I finally gotten my hands on finding full house Thai version and fell in love with the leads and was ecstatic to find that they had done another drama together. I have watched all the versions of ISWAK and this is the BEST!!!

I didn't think that these two could get cuter than they were in full house but to me they were PERFECT in kiss me! The story is altered slightly but this version has the right amount of everything to make you fall in love with the characters! I have become a huge fan of Mike and Aom!

The difference in the characters makes this version far better for me! The girl isn't super dumb and has pride in herself throughout the series and the male lead is not way too arrogant so that you would actually ship the girl with the second lead.

Although there were some slight flaws such as the lead taking way too long to make a firm decision in his life but he does in the end and you can feel that his type do exist. Those who take too long to make decisions but when they do they make it for a lifetime and are committed.

The couple scenes are really really cute and I just ended up wanting more!!!! I loved this series very much and hope Mike and Aom make new dramas together! Love this couple! Ship ship ship!!

As a dedicated viewer of INK I also watched this version. Well I watched it almost 2 years ago but yesterday I got nostalgic and re-watched some episodes. I really like this version for different reasons. As a lot of INK-fans stated they are quite disappointed with how the Thai version went. A lot of the original character arcs got change. But here I am – watching the fifth version of INK (didn’t watch Miss in Kiss yet) and loving it. Maybe it’s because it’s so different. The thing is if you watched the same story for the fourth time all you can judge is basically the acting performance. I’m not saying this is bad but it felt good to watch a different direction- a direction where I can actually talk about the plotline. It’s not all good in the Thai version but it did some things well which I didn’t really like in the original scenario. Vise versa it missed out on some essential parts of the original plotline, which was kind of regretful.

What I liked in the Thai version was the way Kotoko (here Taliw) was portrayed. The main issue I had in all the former versions – including the manga – was that Kotoko always felt like her only propose is to support Naoki. Yes, I know that’s the story and I know that’s why Naoki falls for her. But for me it always left me dissatisfied. I always wanted Kotoko to at least have one thing on her own. I wanted her to be caring and sacrificing for her love without losing her self-respect; and for me the Thai version did a great job with that. Just like in the former versions Taliw was not the smartest but out of all the Kotokos I saw she was the one I liked the most for her innocence and cluelessness. It was probably because she wasn’t over the top like most other versions.
I also liked TenTen (Naoki) a lot, though I thought considering the original character he was indeed a little bit too soft. Nevertheless, I was feeling “Naoki” the first time while in the other versions I almost every time wanted him to be hit by a bus for what he was doing to Kotoko. I liked it that it was not seemingly a one-sided thing from the very beginning and I especially liked the background story of their childhood. TenTen is definitely a really different Naoki but he was also the only Naoki up to now that could make me feel sympathy for him and make my heart flutter in almost every episode.
Hands up for the writer who decided to tone down Kin-chan, because King was likable right from the start! He didn’t go overboard, and he was a loyal and adorable best friend to Taliw.

Acting/Cast: The acting was throughout good. Especially the main couple and King did a good job. But also all the other characters like Namkang, Dan, TenTens and Taliws Family and Friends, Nana – they did great. It’s rare that I don’t have one character that gets on my nerves. I was expecting it with Nana, but she was surprisingly nice!

Music: Loved the OST – especially the one the main couple sang together – but the editing was messy at some parts and that influenced the music. Generally, it was fine!

Rewatch value: Well, I’m writing this after rewatching so definitely yes :)

Overall I think it’s really difficult to compare this version to the former version – and honestly speaking I don’t even want to do that. After watching Kiss Me I felt really good. I liked that Taliw and TenTen were somehow equal to each other and that TenTen was so open about his feelings for her. In contrast to other opinions I still do think that Taliw and TenTen are completing each other and that their propose to each other’s life was portrayed well here. But again I don’t judge from the original scenario since – as I stated – I don’t think this would be fair. Kiss Me is a nice version of the original plot maybe a little bit modernized (let’s not forget that the Manga was created in 1991) with likable characters – hell I even liked Namkang and Nana the ex-girlfriend – and a cute, yet complicated love story. If you don’t mind a version of INK that is different from others but just as enjoyable, I recommend Kiss Me :)

Okay, so my goal of Dramaland, currently, is to watch EVERY version of this story and this was my second. I don't know how long it's been since I watched this one, but I remember that it left an impression. The story sucks. It's guilty pleasure, but I love it. I love it so much but I know that if the actors can't pull off the characters, it will be completely awful.

Story: What I like about this version is that they change up the story, it's not the same as the others. It has it's similarities, but I feel like this is the most original out of the one's I've seen. Looking back on watching this now.. I really think this one takes the story further than the rest. It really fills in the characters and what they are thinking. Mike's character isn't as much of mystery in this one and he doesn't "tease" her a lot like the other boys in their respective versions. And their separation really lets you in on their thoughts and King and Aom's character actually get understood more than just thrown together for the sake of plot. Another thing about this story is you truly love her in the end because she learns. She doesn't make the same mistake 3 times. She doesn't do things blindly just because it's what her heart tells her. I feel like this is her smartest representation and I wish that the rest had followed suit... not gonna lie.

Acting/Cast: Oh geez, these two are amazing together- if you haven't seen Full house-Thai, go watch it. Drop whatever you're doing and watch it. I like how they kept the original girl, completely in love and deaf to the bad, pure and happy but so easily hurt. But the guy's character got changes. I don't think he is as cold in this one. When I watched this, I had only seen Playful Kiss, the Korean version, so I didn't know much about the characters. Also, the leads seemed to be a lot closer in this version. When focusing on Aom, you really can't help but love her. She is this role, like honestly, everything about her fits.

Music: I don't even remember...

Rewatch: Yes, I have. I love going back and rewatching episode or scenes, even youtube-ing them when I'm bored. I will rewatch it no doubt.

Overall: I gave it a 10, because that is what I rated it, honestly. Looking at the scores, it should probably have an 8 or 8.5 but I watched it all in one sitting, unable to stop because I had to know what was going to happen. Also, I didn't even realize it was a Itazura na Kiss remake until the end when I came on to rate it.. though looking back, I should've known, haha.

Looking back on the versions I've seen.... I would rate this one second best. The first being Miss in Kiss.

I have watched all the versions of this manga turned into drama and I definitely LOVE this version ALOT! Now that I finished watching it I can say it's my favorite version. A close second is the JP version. This version keeps to the basic story line but they do add a few different things that make it so nice and refreshing. I will say that the TW version is the one that stays true to the manga. Because the writer died before it was done they ended the story the way she wrote it. Which makes it a classic! And as I already mentioned I love the JP version a lot! I don't complain about the same story done over and over because this is supposed to be based on the manga. So of course it's the remake of a remake of a remake. But this version is really good. This is only my second Thai drama and they did an Excellent job on this remake! It is way better than the Korean version and I love KHJ but they bombed on that one. Please watch this. You will not be disappointed! Beautiful main actress and handsome main guy. Second guy isn't bad either! Great story!!! You get so drawn into all the characters. Beautiful scenery and locations. I can't say enough of how really good this Thai version is!!!!

My first ever Thai lakorn (drama). ???? I was initially hesitant to watch this series since I'm a devoted Kdrama fan. Out of boredom and a huge thirst for something different, I started looking at different series outside Korean, Taiwanese or Japanese. Accidentally, I saw remakes of popular kdrama series to Thai like Full House, Playful Kiss (Kiss Me Thai), Princess Hours, Coffee Prince, etc. Seeing great reviews and playing safe, I tried watching Kiss Me Thai and I was not disappointed. The gist of the story was the same as the anime where it was based (Itazura Na Kiss) but they added a few details that made the drama more realistic and appealing. First off, the casts were amazing! I loved the chemistry of Mike and Aom! They looked sooo adorkable together. Both of them delivered the characters; Tenten, the cold poker faced intelligent guy and Taliw, the cheerful, not so bright but kind hearted girl, superbly! Each episode made me a fan of both artists. Secondly, the supporting casts were also eye candies! I particularly loved King (played by Tao) here. He really showed his love for Taliw and I almosy had a second lead syndrome because of him. Lol. Thirdly, out of all the versions that I have seen, this one never lets me feel frustrated with Tenten. He might be cold hearted but not to the point of bullying Taliw. I can also feel his sincerity towards Taliw that is why seeing him falling for her was easier to understand (as compared with other versions). Lastly, the ending was very well done! It gave me a very nice summary of what really happened to both of them since they were kids. It also helps me understand Tenten more. There is also no rushed endings as compared to other dramas. I would have given a higher ratings if not for two things; first, I felt that there were some fillers that were better off deleted. Honestly, I prefer dramas which focuses more (80% of the time) with the OTPs. Secondly, the OST din not touched me as much as I want to. There were no LSS thingy for me which was actually a bummer. But overall, I super enjoyed it! It was fun and very entertaining! After watching this, I was fully ready to try my first ever original Thai lakorn. ????

I didn't expect much considering I've seen other versions of the story but I was impressed with this version. TenTen as usual is a jerk with conflicting bad timing and mixed feelings. But he does have a heart and suppresses what he already know is his true self. This is the type of guy that will cause girls to become crazy. he plays tug of war with your heart strings. One minute he's into you and then the next he is not. I still Enjoyed him as his character grows SLOOOWWLLY. Loved the scene with him and the mother at the breakfast table. Taliw is definitely not the smartest but she has heart and determination and is sweet and kind. Though at times you kinda wanna slap all the cuteness and in some ways she leads King's character on. What can you say it's what makes for good drama. King's character does his best and is sweet also. Overall, I enjoyed watching the slight twists and enjoyed the changes to the drama though the feeling and goal is still the same. Definitely 1 of the top favorites of this version. Loved the ending though we all knew what would happen (if you have seen the others) but I loved the way it was done. Wet TenTen and makeover TenTen are really nice. Good job, happy i watched this version. Loved the relationship with the parents and the kids. Give it a try, the over the top first few episodes will require some overlooking but once you get in the flow of things you will enjoy the rest of the drama.

I have watched almost all of the versions and I think this is my third favorite. I liked the Korean version and the Japanese version better as they seem to follow more of the story line and keep my favorite parts from the story in. I have watched the Taiwanese version I know a lot of people loved it, but I not a huge fan of that version. I was not even able to finish the second season.

If you want a story that only loosely follows the original story but is not the Japanese 1996 version, this Thai one is for you.

It was good because it was different and the second lead guy was so much better than his previous versions, not to mention the main guy was much nicer.
They changed the story quite a bit, and many of us found that we had no clue when they were going to get together.

Despite him being nicer however, it still took them forever to get married, which I felt was really annoying. In the anime, they get married pretty early on and then we spend the rest of the story looking at their married life.

It took them so long, that I grew really tired of it near the end and even though, I love Mike and Aom I really think that this version missed the mark. The comedy was really lost in this one. It was not all that funny.

They spent a lot of time on side characters and delayed the main romance. Also, I feel a marathon for this show is the way to go and the best way to enjoy it.

But, do not get me wrong I did enjoy this version, but, it missed some of what I loved about the original story line. In those cases, I just think of it as a different story. But, I must say I love the chemistry between the two, and I want more. We ended on really a bitter sweet ending for some of the characters.

I did enjoy the relationship between his mom and him better in this version, but, I needed more brother bonding time. I also was very disappointed that our main character who is a happy go luck girl most of the time had to be depressed for at least 5 or 6 episodes at the end.

I agree with those who said that this story is much different than any Itazura na Kiss adaptations. I have watched the anime, live- Japanese, Korean, & Taiwanese versions. I could say that no version could compete with the original, but what I like about this version is that, it's very light. Meaning the drama is not too heavy. SO if you are the type of person who is not into heavy heavy dramas, then this one is definitely for you. Yes they have changed a lot in the plot, but it makes this show unique among the others.
The acting is great, as well as the song choices. They chose really good-looking actors too (totally a shipper of AoMike but Kim Hyun Joong of Playful kiss is a hottie). King looks cute too!
They also gave a lot of attention to supporting actors which is not a bad thing. At all. But in my opinion, it kind of made some episodes draggy and uninteresting.
What I loved about this drama too is that everything a sweet scene comes up, I squeal too much. I can feel the "love" every time they look into each other's eye. Call that cheesy and mushy but the feels they gave me was too sugary that you could get high with it.
In summary, thumbs up to the production of this drama. Give the drama a chance? It may not be like the other version, but give it a chance. You might have a change of heart :)

Forget about Itazura na Kiss before watching it

This story shouldn't be seen as a remake of Itazura na Kiss. Even though the premise and some events are similar, thinking of the original story is going to spoil this one for you.

The Male Lead is a very different person from Irie. Irie is socially awkward to the point of autistic, but Tenten is simply a jerk. His behaviour doesn't stem from his emotional incapacity. He's just prejudiced towards the FL due to their past experience and their intellectual incapability. Irie will always be awkward, even after marriage, because that's what he is. Tenten can be loving and charming if he chooses so. Understanding the difference between the two characters will make the story more palatable, esp. in the last quarter when Tenten chooses another woman not because he has to sacrifice himself for his father's company but simply because he thinks the other woman might be a better match for him.

Thus said, it is interesting to see how he falls in love with the FL "against his better judgement", esp. that Mike Angelo can portray emotions really well. Kudos to Aom Sushar Manaying as well. Both are great actors with sparkling chemistry between them.

I've seen so many Itazura na Kiss adaptations already but this one wasn't my favorite. I hated the fact that they changed some of the plot details yet I enjoyed that the main male lead showed more romantic interest than in other adaptations of this series. The actor did a nice job while playing their characters. Would recommend to watch for a Thai incorporated vibe~

This is my first time writing a review for which I specifically sign in on MDL

I really liked the story, casting was also good, acting was very good for which I laughed I cried I was angry and you know when you feel those emotions that's mean they did their job really well.
I will not write much just say ML is really really really stupid and I cried for FL soooo much (just because he behave like this). Sometimes he behaved so badly that if it was me I would have left him and never look for him again even though I love him (cause sometimes you have to love yourself more then love someone else)
I was wishing FL will end up with SML cause she was really happy with him though she doesn't understand it.

I have seen nearly every version of this story (Itazura na Kiss originally) and I have to say this is one of my favorites. I’m relatively new to the Thai drama scene so the language/culture is still really unfamiliar and a bit awkward for me but if you’ve never seen one before I think this would be a great drama to transition to with.

The base of the story follows the original Itazura na Kiss plot but they revised it a lot to make it different and more modern. I love that they did that. Just because it’s a remake doesn’t mean you can’t update it (looking at you Meteor Garden 2018). To be honest the way they changed it made it a lot more relatable and sweet.

Taliw is the smartest of all the renditions of Kotoko (Oh Ha Ni/Xang Qin). She is…normal. Not too book smart but in the way most of us are, and she can cook and is more upfront without all the snooping/awkwardness the other versions of her character had. She is also capable of succeeding at life and there is far less time spent here on her struggling in school.

TenTen is by far the nicest Naoki (Baek Seung Jo/Zhi Shu) and he has a certain normalness to him as well that made him even more loveable. He is still a “genius” by the books but there are times when he doesn’t know what to do or when he’s shown as being very vulnerable with his feelings. You can also really see him falling for Taliw (like when he sees her early in all dressed up and he gets all flustered because she looks so pretty).

Taliw and TenTen’s relationship develops a lot more normally as well (for example, we get way more kisses here before they actually get together than in the originals) so it’s not such a big shocker that TenTen actually loves her and while that took a little punch out of him finally confessing his feelings in the end it was still super sweet and felt more realistic. The twist that they threw in there as well was just so damn perfect. I love it!

My biggest complaint is probably that there isn’t really any HQ versions of this around (that I could find) so you have to stream it in all its pixel-y glory which was really disappointing because I think it would have been really pleasant to look at otherwise. Hopefully a higher quality stream becomes available. Other than that, it was pretty near perfect.
