Due to poverty, Dal-rae endures the toying of the lecherous Chun-bal and ends up with an unwanted pregnancy. She goes to the kisaeng house. Dal-rae is expelled from the kisaeng house due to her frigidness. She runs into Seung-myung whom she met before and they get married. However, when he learns of her past, after much conflict, he leaves her. They get back together due to the strength of their true love but Dal-rae ultimately ends up killing Chun-bal for ruining her happiness.
