HUGE TW *COMFORT WOMEN*
The theme of this movie is very heavy so the tone throughout the movie is obviously serious and dark. The first 30 minutes is slow but once the flashback started, it got serious so fast. The whole flashback scene was so heavy and devastating and for some would be too much to bear. Personally, I had to pause several times because the scenes is very detailed and the acting was very convincing. It is also very eye-opening as this part of history. This will leave you in tears so if you planning to watch this, mentally and physically prepare yourself.
p/s: Do stick until the ending credits.

In the early state of the movie, it was very heartbreaking as sung-min was force go away by Japanese soldiers. We feel very angry when Japanese soldiers rape these women. The Japanese soldiers show no humanity and is disgrace to mankind. Overall this movie make both of us very sad and angry most of the time because we pity the victims. But the credit to the movie, because it was really a great movie although of the emotions we felt.

BM02 Tan Wei Ting 1151201759The whole story is too sad,I'm grateful that I was born in an era of peace. Because of their early deaths, and their unbearable Han, the spirits of the deceased comfort women are earthbound and they need a gut to release them to the next world. And in this movie, by extension, the spirits of the girls are somehow chained to the location where they passed away, and it is through the gut that the spirits can return home to their families in Korea to find their rest. The shaman ritual towards the end of the movie is an incredibly moving scene, intercept as it is with the finals hours of the girls’ wartime ordeal, and giving us into the bargain a little reveal. The Japanese armies are desperate and brutal, they are destroying humanity. History cannot be erased,I hoped that Japan able to confess to history and repent of this sins it has committed, they are owes a sincere apology to the victims.

The Japanese army shows no humanity and compassion to a young girl. It is very saddening and depressed to watch such scene in a movie. I felt angry and wished that there is someone will appear to save those girls. I almost gave up watching it halfway but i did not. However, the love and kindness shown by the girls have made me touched and almost had tears in my eyes. They did not give up on their life after all the tragedies happened on them. Overall, it is a very meaningful movie to watch but not so enjoyable during the cruel and inhumane scenes in the movie. Was this review helpful to you?

This is a very truly sad movie, even a guy can cry for it. This is by no far something a person of weak heart can watch. It is by no means graphical like many other movies but yet very disturbing. It shows the sad life of Korean comfort women. As a fellow woman this story resonates within you. Your heart goes out to the countless women who were tortured. The brutality they faced cannot be just driven away by a simple forgiveness. For me I did not feel anger to the Japanese but pity, pity that they had their lives like that. Pity as to what went through their heads to become such inhuman beings. While reading of the Nanking Massacre this turned even worse for me. It made me think what kind of retribution they would have had after this life( Being a a Buddhist karma is something I believe in but this is entirely my own thoughts). The story had a single glimmer of hope within the story in the portrayal of Danaka and I was sad how he ended too. Being a romantic I couldn't help but wish he had reunited with his family or Jungmin.
Like I said this isn't for the weak heart, I was utterly sad by the end and it is a good movie though.

For me, this is an emotional movie and this movie make me cry after I watched just now. In the movie, i can definitely see how the soldiers bully the girls and the girls had been catched and raped by them. But one scene that make me unforgettable which is the scene that show huminity. One of the soldier try to save the main characters which is Jeong Min but failed due to she wants to save her friends together to leave the place. This scene make me feel warm and touched because the soldier give Jeong Min a map to escape from the place. In overall, this movie is worth to see.

The film is set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, this movie ?express the pain of war and let innocent people suffer. This movie can make the new generations understand the disadvantages of war. Let future generations remember the peace that the ancestors worked hard to exchange? also let the politicians have a vigilance. Hopefully Japan can admit that they have apologized for what the previous generation did.I hope the world can go on peacefully. NO WAR NO PAIN.

The thought after i finish watching the movie is the incident of teenage girls being abducted by Japanese soldiers and the innocent children who live in era of war have to avoid to let it happen again. It is a movie full of sadness and cruelness but also lessons. However, fortunately there is still some one with good heart among the soldiers. Jung min also saved his friend and scarify his life. This show the humanity which ought to live in heart of all human kind. As conclusion, feels how other feels when you treating people is important as you could know the limit if people pay you back. The entirety of this motion-picture show was therefore painful to observe, and also the undeniable fact that it's supported truth makes it abundant worse. The young ladies did extraordinarily well at depiction their characters and also the pain they went through. I solely cried once throughout this motion-picture show, and it absolutely was once 'Arirang' started enjoying at the tip and every one the spirits, within the sort of butterflies, flew home. At that time i used to be weeping my eyes out.
This motion-picture show is extremely instructional and a must-watch, however take a while before observance it to organize yourself. i do not suppose i will be able to be observance this once more time shortly.

From my opinion , the girls are all the victims of the war. They have a stronger will than everyone to survive. The main actress is awesome. We know how cruel the japanese soldiers are. The actress ?jung min? died because she wanted to save her friend (eun-kyung) life. It is very touching. Everyone loves their country and your country's army will sacrifice themselves to save their own country and defend their people lives. Jung min's parents are every hardworking and discipline persons. They are nice. Everything changes until the japanese army come to their house and bring jungmin to their campaign. From the movie, we learn that we believe in our friends, we are wiling to help each other , in terms of physically and mentally.
