Lego Lee! I have a huge bias towards him so there was no doubt I would enjoy this drama. Love Cuisine started off strong but it did get a little draggy/repetitive towards the end. The premise was promising for the romantic development but the unexpected gem of this drama was the students' storylines. The student storylines were really cute and many of the students had huge character growth throughout the drama, especially Mai Zhi (Ben Wu). Though most of the actors are in their 20's, they pulled off the high school vibe very well and their storylines blended with the main romantic story seamlessly. The relationships developed between teacher and student, and the lessons learned from the relationship were heartwarming and easy to watch.Han Jie (Lego Lee) and Xiao Rou (Allison) are both teachers and initially they don't like each other. You know how it goes from there...

The first 1/3rd of the drama kind of felt like a prologue to the second half because the second half felt like the main story. I liked the organization of this drama and the romance developed between the leads felt subtle, smooth, and not deliberate. The drama started with a competition and the drama ends with a competition, wrapping up the drama very well with no loose ends. The drama was extended and though the extension prolonged the inevitable ending, it gave more time to fully explore the students' romantic relationships. Thus, I thought the extension did more good than bad. Most of this drama focused on the development of the romance between the leads, the daily obstacles of high school life as a high school student, and the complications that go with being a teacher/high schooler.

I seriously loved the cast. There was no annoying antagonist at all, no revenge plot, barely any love triangles, and no disapproving parents. Nita Lei was amazing in this drama; she is the best friend I never had-crazy, hilarious, and caring. Huge props to her acting. What made this drama shine were the student storylines and of course Lego's fantastic portrayal as a teacher. Han Jie (Lego) drastically changed after meeting Xiao Rou (Allison Lin. Xiao Rou also changed after being with Han Jie. Their love for one another made them change for one another.

Soundtrack was fabulous-the songs were so catchy and appropriately used.

I definitely recommend this drama. There's barely any angst in Love Cuisine so it's a very light-hearted drama that's easy to watch. I think a lot of people didn't enjoy this drama as much as I did because the problems/obstacles felt trivial since there's no love triangles/vindictive antagonists so it became boring. However, that's what made Love Cuisine so easy to watch! If you want to laugh in every episode, watch this! (9/8.5)

This is my first drama that I have ever watched and lemme tell you, it did the job of hooking me into asian dramas! This drama was a little bit different from many other school dramas since the main relationship were between Han Jie (Lego Lee) and Fang Xiao Rou (Allison Lin) who were teachers in this drama. Also it has food! FOOD!!! Now, who can say no to that?

Plot/story: -8.5- Right from the beginning, the story hooked me. Literally... (you will get the pun when you see the beginning hehe) The main characters in the first few episodes already have their special/cute moments that strengthen their relationship throughout the drama. I love how the story goes with the flow in every episode... until the very end. I STRONGLY DISLIKED THE ENDING! It was so abrupt! It could have been way cuter on Han Jie's (Lego Lee) side. The production could have told the viewers how Han Jie and Fang Xiao Rou's life after the students graduated or where they went or what they did! There were soooooo many cliffhangers that could have been fixed and would make the ending an actual ending. The whole drama was great, except the ending.

Acting/cast: -10- Perfect cast for this drama! All the characters' personalities were on point and I couldn't asked for a better cast. Lego Lee played Han Jie so well! Like holy cow! He is so into his character that it was so cute watching him chase after Fang XIao Rou (Allison Lin) and then him being chased by Fang Xiao Rou later in the drama. Same goes with Allison Lin playing Fang Xiao Rou. Her innocence in Love Cuisine was so adorable to watch and it definitely kept me hooked to watch these two characters get to know each other throughout the drama. All the students, whom I believe are relatively new in the acting world, played their parts really well! They sparks between the students' relationships were just perfect and really ties this whole drama together. (Especially with Wan Mai Zhi and Wei Qi Zhen)

Music: -9- Very catchy and well used in this drama though sometimes they can be overplayed between the breaks.

Rewatch Value: -10- Well, considering that I have already rewatched this drama 5+ times and am still in love with it, for me it's a 10 score.

Overall: -9.5- It was near perfect!!!!! But sadly the ending was a bit of a downhill. For anyone who likes cute, but now too over the top, food related, school drama or wants to watch a simple drama, this drama is perfect for you!

HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY THIS DRAMA AS MUCH AS I DID!!!

Chào for Now!
Lily L.

Painfully two-dimensional characters with unlikely attributes/characteristics/traits/behavior. There was not one single conversation between women that was not focused on men (total Bechdel FAIL), the plot was just dumb, the music uninteresting. I can't think of a single character that wasn't over-acted to the point of being a blatant stereotype, many of which were demeaning. Lord save me from the obsessed, narcissistic, hysterical dingbat "best friend"; I wound up fast forwarding through each of the scenes with her in it because it was ALWAYS the same thing with different toppings, as it were. The only reason I watched it through was because a) I took several long breaks between clusters of episodes, and b) I wanted to be able to write a credible review.

i really like this drama.. i think it is one of the best taiwan drama for 2015..the cast get 10/10 because of their acting that is sooooo cool..as u know the drama setting is about cooking and school..so basically there will be a lot of student around main actors..but no worry because, the supporting cast make this drama even better..they are cool, humorous, witty, cheeky and amusing..

there will be a lot of couple in this drama..but i won't say who'll end up with whom..that'll ruined the fun..however i do felt a bit of disappointed with ending of one couple here..not the main characters of course..bcause i really love the chemistry between HanJie and FangXiaoRou(not sure if i spell correctly)..but still, it is a pity that they didn't show a bit of their marriage life in the drama..that will make the ending sweet and cute isn't it ?

overall i love the story line..except the fact that female lead is a bit stupid and kept having her own thought which lead to misunderstanding..which is i really hate that part..even i do think that what makes the Fang Xiou Rou look soo cute...haha ok, except that particular female lead fact..i love how the story is soo fast moving without any misunderstanding or problems that dragged to 3 or 4 episodes like others drama..

i really2 love the ost..especially the BII song and the ending theme sing by ROSSIE(and the other guy..don't remember)..i always be a BII fan.. but this drama make the song even better..so if you want to know what i mean..you have to watch the drama and listen to the ost and you'll see that the ost fit perfectly..!!

i know some of you like BROMANCE better..but for me, i'll delete bromance already and will keep re-watch LOVE CUISINE since this drama gave you a pure, innocent and sweet love story that will remind you of your first puppy love..hahaha

bdw..does anyone know what happen to the last class on 8 January that they mention in the last episode...?? i try to find it..but nothing been found though..

one of the best storyboards in 2015.

Maybe because Love cuisine was one of the first drama I watched, and so I'm attached to it, but frankly the storyboard is very interesting, especially in 2015. I'm not going to lie about the fact that the main character was not necessarily very smart and very naive, and that the first 12 episodes were much too slow and without real goal (always stuck on the same problem and it became boring.). But frankly the students are so endearing and funny. especially when Wei Qi Zhen arrived. a big crush for this actress, she is so cute :(!
