At first early minutes, the movie itself is slow and I don't really understand what direction it is going to be. However, it got slowly crawling into my mind and become more and more interesting and suspense. Actyally, the first half of the movie is quite slow but really really important to the 2nd half of the movie, otherwise, you will not understand and feeling anything later.
The 2nd half of thie movie is really intense and suspense, it makes me shocked because never expect it will be that interesting.
I will recommened this movie for those who like suspense thriller, with gore and bloody scenes.

I give to the cast only 7 points because i hate the character Mi-ran.
a spoiled city kid, which should help Bok Nam even earlier.
then this, the whole disaster , would not happen!!

It's amazing. I love it. At the beginning I was lost, but 20 minutes after it turns good. Is kind of bloody in some parts, but still is good.
You can related to Gong Yoo's movie Dogani/ The Crucible. They have like the same problems. You can see how cruel people could be and the consequences it brings. Worth watching.

Bedevilled is an outstanding and award-winning film
The story revolves two childhood friends, Hye Won and Bok Nam. When Hye Won visited the island where she grew up, she reconnected with Bok Nam, who is now an abused wife and a target of misogyny by the locals.I first watched this film in 2011. I never attempted to watch it again ever since. That is until earlier, when I was cleaning my stuff and found my old thumb drive containing movies, including this one. It's a story of friendship, love, abuse, and revenge. I actually ended up sympathizing with Bok Nam as she hacks every single person in her village to death.Seo Young Hee and Hwang Geum Hee delivered superb performance playing main characters. Seo Yeong Hee, in particular, nailed her role as Bok Nam, from a meek wife and a loving mother, to a vengeful woman in the end.
Bedevilled is Jang Cheol Soo's first film which earned him several awards. He recently directed one of SF8's episode, White Crow. True to his roots, White Crow revolves a dark, eerie storyline. It was SF8's darkest episode in the series.
An oustanding and award-winning Korean thriller, Bedevilled is a must-see film.

The story overall isn't that amazing or deep or complex, but it certainly was awesome to watch unfold. The development of the story and characters starts really slow at the beginning, but with the turning point in the story speeds up a lot.
It's horror without being scary but instead more crazy and eerie with a lot of gore scenes.
Production
Don't expect too much on the production side. It isn't thaaat good.
Cast & Acting
The cast consists of pretty much unknown actors, who still did a great job.
I didn't really pay much attention to the Music so i can't say much about it, but it definitely wasn't bad that it hurt the overall story/movie and it helps the eerie feeling.
Rewatch value
It's good, but i wouldn't really recommend rewatching it. The story isn't that complicated that you need to rewatch it to understand it, and it isn't that pleasant overall to look at (all the blood and ...).
Overall
Overall I would definitely recommend this movie, but only watch it if you can stand explicit scenes (blood, violence, sexual abuse, etc.)
