Overall I would recommend watching this short film.

Well done
Dark. Deep. Softly sensual.I think the director of this film caught the root of the vampire genre, if that makes sense. Not distorted, just vampiric and sobrenatural in its own way - A hint of mistery, sensuality, personallity, along with the atmosphere; I really love so much the plot; The mist of Melancholic and sobrenatural go very well together. The protagonists did an amazing job at a acting, oh my god. Just the two other characters could put a little bit more realism into their acting, it felt kinda distant as I watched.
Overall, a great short movie - Perfect for getting in a vampiric mood.

Dark and murky story, wish it would have been more fleshed out
This very short movie is about the encounter of a vampire and a dead drowned girl as she is brought back at the morgue where he lives. I enjoyed their interactions, the way the scenario interlocks their fates. I wish tough the story would have been a bit more fleshed out as we learn enough to understand the main characters but not enough to really be moved by their horrendous destiny as it goes very quick on it. The side characters seems also to be there just for the sake of explaining things. The acting was good: Ji Sung and Park So Dam exude together sexy (and morbid) chemistry. They carry very well the movie, making this a tragic and wicked tale rather than what could have been otherwise very campy and comedic if not properly acted. The filmmaking was good: the special effect was well done but could have been a bit uglier and dirtier. It seems a bit too clean but I can understand that esthetic choice.
I would recommend this to people that are looking for an horrific short movie. It is in the realm of horrow but not frightening. It provides an interesting point of view on the vampire myth as well.

Short 2: The Vampire Lives Next Door To Us
Director: Im Sang Soo
Rating: 4.5/5 [9/10]
The Vampire Who Lives Next Door follows a vampire who works in a morgue. He’s brought the body of a young woman who drowned at sea
Usually, I don’t review shorts unless I’m sure I’m going to be writing about them in the future so my thoughts are there on paper ahead of time, but for this one, I had to sit back and write a review.
One of the first things I noticed in this film, is that the vampire (Han Chang Ho – played by Ji Sung), is very “Johnny Depp-esque” in character. If you’ve seen some of Depp’s films such as Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, Sleepy Hollow, etc, you’ll know what I mean. This intrigued me greatly – it’s not a character role often played in films like this and it is something I enjoy. In fact, I’d even say Ji Sung pulled a Johnny Depp better than Johnny Depp in this aspect. It added a level of comedy to the film that was just right; enough to have a giggle but not take away fully from the serious aspect of what was going on.
All 4 actors in this – Ji Sung, Park So Dam, Kim Eung Soo, Jung Woo Joong; yes, even the more-support like roles – did absolutely stunning. I highly look forward to seeing more from all four of them and will be browsing their filmography in the future.
There’s been plenty of South Korean vampire pieces from 2010-2019 and a lot of them seem to blur together after a while, almost indistinguishable from one another. The Vampire Lives Next Door To Us is refreshing, comedic, and has its own symbolism that truly will stick in my mind for a while to come – and a reminder that sometimes, it’s better to go for a short than it is a feature length.
Im Sang Soo did absolutely wonders for this, and he is definitely earning a place on my favourite directors list for this one.

Feelings about movie
Feelings about movieThe Vampire Lives Next Door To Us was a fairly short 18 minute video.
From this video we can learn a short story about a boy who was a vampire and worked in a morgue. Where he meets a young girl. Which gives him, in my opinion, a new experience that he likes. However, the end of this video was quite incomprehensible and you could say strange.
However, in my opinion, the whole movie was not the best or good, so that's why it gives such results
