Sotus was my first series. I felt the chemistry between Krist and Singto the second they shared the screen. I fell in love with the delicate nature of Kongpob and Arthit's relationship. There was not alot of skinship but through eye contact and accidental touches, their affection was beautifully displayed. Sotus got me hooked on Thai BL series.
I also loved the fact that they portrayed different types of relationships and not only bxb.
The SOTUS system seemed harsh at first but through the harshness of the system, their is a close bond that forms between juniors and seniors which is even depicted between Arthit and his seniors.

I highly recommend this series!

If are into skinship then it is not your type but if you are into love it is must watch. It is a full package of emotions you can feel the love they share even when one of them is too shy to show. Their care for each other even when they get into eachother's nerves. The untold stories, the open scenes will lead your imagination to your type of love. I know sometimes I sound dramatic but this series is the first one which make me feel love. I wish to see Singto and Krist again as Kong and Artith. I totally fell in love with the love and friendship this series displayed.

I really enjoyed this. I wasn't expecting to, given that hazing and the like is usually not my thing, nor am I totally sold on the "enemies to lovers" trope, but I really did enjoy this.

The acting was great. Krist (who plays Arthit) was especially good, and his character had so much complexity that I couldn't help but be kept on my toes wondering how he was going to react each time. The entire story was like that, really. I loved watching a drama that was so unpredictable in every individual moment, though the overall story was ultimately predictable (which was not a bad thing). There were a lot of very nice things (symbolism, plot points, actual physical objects) that carried through the whole series and even into the second season, and it was very satisfying and sweet to watch.

The progression of Kong and Arthit's relationship had me grinning and cringing along with the characters, and the dialogue was all absolutely incredible. Wow. Blown away by some of the writing here.

If you're into more cute, sweet relationships then this might not be for you, but if you enjoy a bit of a rougher dynamic then I would definitely strongly recommend this.

Have you ever watch a series because you like the poster? I did. Sometimes the story gave justice with the wonderful poster but sometimes its a meh. But this one one, I almost missed it. I dont know about you but I dont like the poster. But what a surprise... This is Gem in a BL drama.

Story. I like the flow and the feeling that Im in the journey with characters. Im excited on every episode. This series made me realize that when you take out the gender they are just two people who fall in love. For me this is not a BL or gay romance its just Kong and Arthit love story. Yes, they are men but the way the two discover their love and accept their feelings, their realization and commitment (especially in Arthit part) is just beautiful. Its not rush. Its perfect.

I also love how the story not only focus on the love but the life of uni students. I feel like I am constantly having a counsel. The juniors have a point and then the seniors talk and it also make sense. Haha.

Directing. I dont know how the staff did it, but Im gushing on every sweet scenes. Some are cheesy but excuted perfectly. They make me feel goofy, stupidly smiling and silently screaming...how the hell did they make it romantic without having skinship?

Actors. Damn. Salute. Singto straightforwadness and sincere smiley eyes and Krist coldness, shyness and one liner gives me all the feels. They really have best chemistry. I also enjoy the banter between casts. Great ensembles.

OST. 100% in love.

Great for BL Beginners!

This series was so good! I pushed it off for too long and never should have.
It is a BL, but it's not as "spicy" as other popular BL shows. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get into BL stories and of course I recommend it to everyone in general!
I loved how this series progressed and how the characters developed. The chemistry among the actors was great and they make you feel what they feel!
You won't have buckle your safety belt because this series won't take you on a crazy roller coaster. You will get to ride a steady and pleasant ride that while make you fall in love with all the characters.
Watching this, you will really enjoy learning the different aspects of SOTUS and you'll fall in love with all the characters.

SOTUS for a little while... BL all the way.

Okay, 1st watch, I was like really disappointed in the show mainly because of its title. I expected way more drama (more on that below) because after watching the first episode, my excitement was like 10 on a scale of 10 but then, after seeing the second, third episode... it dropped like to level 2. Now 3 years later, after watching all those 2Moons, GenYs, 2gethers, BadRomances, CutiePies, DarkBlueKisses, FishUponTheSkies, IAmYourKings, IToldSunsetAboutYous, KinnPorsches, LoveByChances, TharnTypes and Why R Us... AAND many other, semi-amateurish "series", I re-watched this. I think today, we all can agree this was actually quite watchable, LOL.

First episode really explored the SOTUS theme. It was thrilling despite the cast being questionable (while Singto rightfully gets your attention, Krist Perawat is not a great actor and - along with all the "seniors" - is kinda too sweetfaced for the role LOL, especially when he needs to yell the loud voice you can tell that it's a strain for him:) and after a looong time of boredom, I was excited to watch something. There was even trance music playing at the end of 1st epi (THAT never repeated;) But then, like I said, it dropped quite dramatically. When using the word "dramatically"... There I sadly touched the main problem. The series itself is actually NOT very dramatic. Which is what this show, this "drama", really needed to be.

When you watch the behind-the-scenes episode, one thing you can understand is that the reason for the leading couple's great chemistry is the actors were good friends already. The other is that whole crew was enjoying the shooting with much laughter in between the takes, and the scriptwriter kinda forgot to actually think of some DRAMA!! We then have some unrelated bits like someone doing laps in the rain, or someone running into the ocean but that's not enough. Perhaps the producers got scared of the controversional hazing theme (there is a written warning in the opening of each episode, a warning that, after a few episodes, is not even needed) because then we soon turn strictly into a boy love and SOTUS is NOT the story anymore.

Luck is the main couple here is this strong, because the story sure is weak. After this series, there was an explosion of more BL trying to be similar to this one, like '2 Moons' series, which subsequently did not bother to have ANY STORY AT ALL. After all, loving skinship is all the boy-love fans really want, right? Nope! I would loved to explore the SOTUS theme more here, there could be so much more drama around the two boys before they confessed one to another. But, you cannot dislike Kongpob for being early confesser:) I just love his character (though I like the other actor more) and I'm sure I am not alone. Though the main couple does not have strong story, at least they have cute story. The dynamics of them being superior/inferior, which is repeatedly clashed with the "inferior" boy being the one who does the "courtship" and often worries whether the "superior" boy is okay, is cute. As for the main theme, bottom line is despite all scary stories running in the "media" about juniors dying during hazing, it's shown in episode 8 that juniors could easily overthrown seniors, had they just laughed. In general. This particular case, all the 5 main hazing seniors LOOK gay. So it does help the BL aim of the drama surely. Not the SOTUS one...

By the way, there is even a sequel series, called SOTUS S (although there is NO HAZING in there, anymore) it explores the relationship, again. Not the SOTUS. Just so you know.

But the relationship is WORTH exploring. I'm not complaining about it, just the name of this series perhaps should be different. If this would be a full-blown SOTUS-related drama WITH the boy love incorporated to it, then it would become a legendary show. This way, it is just a BL. A good one, thanks to the main couple. But not a great one: I still hoped it to be a bit more tempestuous, might prefer the 1st kiss not to be this mellow... Like, in that bridge scene, where Arthit says things to Kongpob, also Kongpob could say a few things back. There might be a passionate hug instead of the kiss, which looks like Arthit wants to bite Kongpob because he got an order to lock lips with him at that point. Not to mention the timing when the kiss happened. They were both far from the SOTUS warzone already. In short, I'd prefer this BL with way more dramatical setting. But there I am repeating myself. In this series, Artit IS still a head hazer (and not sitting at desk-job like in the tedious sequel series) so I say one must enjoy it to the fullest, even if the story does not offer you much. As viewers do adore this couple and clearly can fantasize enough fanfiction on their own:) So in a way, doesn't really matter that the series did not fully deliver. 9 stars out of 10.

Famous for a Reason

I almost didn’t watch the one that really started the Thai BL train because of rumors of homophobia from one of the lead actors. But because this series was so notorious for starting the current trend, I still decided to watch, and I’m glad I did.

(Also found out the rumors were moments taken out of context, which was a relief.)

It’s a well crafted story with realistic characters in only slightly exaggerated real life circumstances. The actors have good chemistry and the development is a slow build, but a satisfying one. The series feels classic, and you can tell from watching the show, why it was so successful and pioneered the future of BL.

I don’t binge a lot of series anymore as I’ve gotten older, but I watched 14/15 episodes in 2 days and finished the last episode on the third day. It was that good.

I loved this show. Going into the show I was hoping it would be as good as I thought it would be. I wasn't disappointed not one little bit. I live the scene where the dude said what are you gonna do if you don't get a gear necklace. The main male student was like I'll make you my wife. But my the end of the show. I basically did make that dude his wife becuse they were together. I didn't mind the hazing scene. I though the scene were the two main dude where together were good. They had great chemistry together. The romance was fantastic. I Loved that they both were engineer majors. Even after months of being done watching this show. I still think about it all the time. Plus I know this is a show I will watch agian. That how good the show was. This is a boy love/ gay/ LGBT show. I recommend this show to everyone no matter the age.

My First Thai BL .. and it is GOLD !

I found this BL accidentally .. when i scroll to a manga reading site, and they have this series as one of the early BL's ..
I started watching and I am hooked !

THE ULTRA CUTE MAIN COUPLE !
YES ! They are both sooo damn cute AF !
Kongpob is very straightforward toward Arhit
Arhit is shy and tsun-ish, but caring in his own way
I can't explain but the chemistry between them is damn, like UwU

The story line are not very unique, but the execution is very nice !
I'm so damn in love with this series !

The feels I got, and the after effect of having 'there's no other series as good'
Recently .. I found more and more BL, and yes they are great !
BL series are getting better and better .. but SOTUS is gold at its age .. and for me personally, I still love them ^^

Salute to the author of the original series !
Salute to the scriptwriter !
Salute to those in charge of the selection of actors !
Salute to Krist and Singto !

Fun Fact:
Krist play as Arhit, senior of Kongpob played by Singto
While in real life, Krist is Singto's junior in university

Fun Fact 2:
The story is inspired by Singto as a head hazer
and Krist used to be scared of Singto when he was hazed ><

(A little Biased because I have watched this drama so many times) This is one of my favorite dramas for both Boy Love and All other dramas... definitely my favorite thai drama. The couples are sweet, the actors who play the characters are both talented and freaking adorable. I love the romantic chemistry, the acting chemistry, and also the friendship chemistry. So what I’m saying I LOVE this drama sooooooooooo much and I recommend it to people who love both Thai dramas and boy love dramas.
Acting 10/10
Cast 10/10
Music 10/10
Rw (Rewatch) value 10/10
( Would definitely go above 10 but that isn’t part of the scaling system)

This is my first review ever. That's how good this is !

WTF I cannot believe I held off on this series for years. I just binge watched all 3 series the whole day until morning AND I HAVE A PRESENTATION EARLY IN THE MORNING! That's how good this is!

Everything about this a so amazing! The story, the pace, the ACTORS, the chemistry , even the supporting actors are so brilliant. This is the BEST BL I've ever watched! (when UWMA was a hard one to surpassed too!)

The couple suits each other very well. They just fit. And we can see the growth of the characters as well as their understanding and especially respect they held for each other. Yes they have arguments, misunderstanding and obstacles, however, those were somewhat natural and not over the top to makes it dramatic and I also like how they approach it as well.

And god bless Artrit was being able to put up with Kong's cheesiness and all the flirts lmao (Even though we all know he secretly love it xD ) and congrats Kong for being able to make our icy and strict hazer head blush, embarrassed and flustered <3

Just now I finished watching it and I am in love with this drama. No matter how many times I watch it, I feel happy and good to see the cast on the screen. The story plot was really good and the chemistry between the leads was so cute and fun. The strong and the soft character makes the cute and best pair. I can assure you that you will never regret by watching it. I really adored this drama with such little cuties as the leads. I am planning to watch the next season and hoping that it would be a good decision. Overall good casts and all did their jobs well.
