Amazing! I don't usually enjoy 2nd or 3rd seasons to shows, because they never quite meet up to the awesomeness of the first season. However, I was happily surprised by the extremely well-done Bloody Monday 2. My first recommendation: You definitely must watch Bloody Monday 1 before this one. While this isn't exactly a continuation of Bloody Monday 1, it is impossible to catch all the nuances without having seen BM1 first. Furthermore, I would recommend not waiting too long in between them. The storyline was naturally not quite as good as BM1, but it was still extremely well-written. The writers threw in enough plausible red herrings and diverging plotlines to keep you satisfactorily confused until the very end once again. The story successfully clears up any remaining issues from the first season, and is much better for having the same cast as the first show. The cast once again play their roles perfectly and believably. It's amazing how well they all work together. This is another definite MUST WATCH, and I almost wish there would be a season 3. Three cheers for one of the few shows where I've willingly seen the second season more than 1ce thru :-)

Reading all other reviews, I don't think it is actually bad. To be honest, I was amazed. It was so amusing, I just couldn't stop watching.
Cast is amazing, as usuall, I was so happy to see Minami, Kanou, Kirishima, J and of course Fujimaru and Otoya.
Story is really great and full of surprises, whenever I thought someone is who is, I turned wrong.

Watch it, you won't regret.

Not good, DAMN GOOD! From start to finish, this continue the exciting, no it exceeded the excitement of the first, that is a rarity that a second season is truly better than the first. Even some of the lingering questions that were mulling through my head were answered. I still railed at Fujimaru sometimes and what his character would do but I gave up hoping that he would do things differently. J's character, of course was still brilliantly played by Hiroki! I do not recommend watching this before the first season, you would miss plenty. And where can I hunt down this OST? Before the week is out, I will be trolling the internet for each and every song! Fantastic drama! Fantastic cast!

The second season and big Fujimaru's comeback. There are still lots of action and there always something surprise me. Drama makes that I start considering every new character as a terrorist.

At the end, I was shocked again, when Spider's indetity was uncovered. I though that there were just innocent flirt between Mrs. Doctor and Kanzaki... only conspiracy, J. should have died and huge inner transformation. They cheated me!

I counted that Otoya will have a bigger role, but unfortunately he coudn't do too much and he was waiting in base.

Like the first season, this one was also fantastic and amazing. Maybe I love first season a little bit more but as for the characters I love them more in the second season, they're more twisted and crazy. Mitsushima Hikari as Spider, she has blown me away with her acting, I'm loving this girl more and more, since Soredomo, Ikite Yuku she got my full attention. Of course not to mention a stunning and one of the most beautiful women in the world Michiko, I liked her in season 2, she's more on the side of the good guys. I think that there's no need to talk about Haruma and Takeru, they are the most talented young actors out there, Haruma was brilliant, what I like about him is that he shows every little emotion and gesture, he doesn't care how he looks ugly when he cries and yell, he is inside the role 100 %.
My favourite character is J and officially became my favourite villain, Hiroki has portrayed him magnificently, I have never loved some bad guy like I love him. ;-)

As for the story, it's pretty much the same as the first season or should I say the season 2 continues where season1 has stopped. And everything was great, also what is so good and different about this show is that many good guys die, some of the main characters die and that constant suspense and doubt who is the the main bad guy, great. Music was good like in the first season, fits in the moments perfectly.

I have found this drama in this genre that I love so much and that suit me so well, definitely became one of my favourite dramas in the crime, action, suspense genre. And I could watch it right now again because of such a stunning acting, brilliant performances by all the actors and great happenings through the whole drama. This is the drama that never gets boring for sure.

Not As Good As Season 1

I never read the Manga, but I did watch Season 1. Miura Haruma, Narimiya Hiroki and Satoh Takeru gave fantastic performances. The music was okay, but could've been better for adding suspense to some scenes. The story concept was good, but the writing and execution had too many holes. The Hornet vs The Falcon wasn't as intense as it should've been. There was enough suspense and action to keep me interested and watching all the way to the end.

However, like many other Japanese dramas/thrillers the production is not good and the director is lacking. Throughout the season no camera stabilizer was used, so the film is shaky and took away from the watchability of the show. It gave me a migraine, it was that bad. It didn't matter if the camera zoomed in or was out , the whole thing shook like a person who had too many Red Bulls or Coffee. Also there were scenes where the evil doer was trying to be all stealthy, but they didn't use a silencer on the gun? That's just stupid and amateurish. Also bad directing is that guns were pointed way to close to the other person's face. The point of using a gun instead of a knife, is so you can kill from a distance. Either you are a terrible shot or you've never used a gun. This all should've been caught by the director. With such great actors, these mistakes kept the show from hitting a higher overall score, hence 6/10.

Story: the story was great just like the first season but better characters. It felt more complicated to understand but well done. It didn't answer some questions at the end of the first season tho. There were a lot of mystery that well was interesting. Once again the characters are so hard to trust at times. There was more deaths in season 2 than season 1 I believe.

Acting/Cast: the four main actors returned in season 2 but for one they didn't last through the end. I only enjoyed Beast's actor because he was more cool to watch. The rest of the terrosits actors ehh didn't enjoy, didn't seem to be bad enough guys. Again acting was excellent for the sad parts.

Music: I enjoyed the music in season 2 than season 1. The music here makes you feel about this season with all the events happening. It's a perfect match to the drama especially after a big loss to a character.

Rewatch Value: Yep I would of course watch it over again.

Overall: I wished it had maybe one or two more episodes because 9 felt too short. Bloody Monday became a favorite drama of mine and I'm also reading the manga too. Falcon looked ridicules holding a gun at times, he should of trained more to protect himself.

Unexpected

Yes, that's the word for it: unexpected. Even though the first episode is a bit long, the plot is really good from the very beginning. Falcon is even more challenged when a great hacker makes his appearance and there's a nuclear bomb threatening Japan. You have to expect the unexpected in every episode because you never know one's true intention: who can you trust?

Acting was as always great.

Music, as in the first season, suited the mood.

I think it's better than the first season, although it is recommended to watch also the first season, this is why my rewatch value is 9.
