like everyone else has said, they tried cramming way too much into 16 episodes. had they stuck with a simple underdog story and quit using the program as a showcase for idols, it would have been a great drama.
the cast did their best with this awful script but not even the acting could save it.

I quite liked the music in it, and Hello to Myself has became a favourite song of mine. But JB as an actor is pretty bad. He's adorable, has a lovely smile, a decent singing voice, and can clearly dance. So for an idol, he's perfect. Just don't try acting again, JB. Jinwoon and JiYeon did a decent-ish job, as did Kang Sora. I mean, there were no spectacular actors in this show so at least they didn't have people comparing them to each other. They all got to be mediocre together.
I don't necessarily think I wasted over 16 hours of my life on this drama, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Pro: The only reason I continue watching this was it has a very interesting and humorist cast of supporting characters. The music is catchy and good, latest most are.
It a drama you have to force yourself into watching, and only some parts are great while others are just a bore.

Acting/Cast - well the cast is pretty simple...the acting is not so good, it made things seem even more cheesy than it already was...
Music- the only thing in this drama that can be given an A+
Rewatch Value - my instinct tells me to give it a 5 or lower but no drama i have watched has made me so mad to give it less than 5 so 5 for this drama i would watch it after 10 years to remind myself of my teen years and how i have watched dramas or now if my internet stops and im dead bored and have no TV
Overall- 6.0 i still want to give it less but no korean drama deserves a bad rating considering what is aring in my country -_-

-The music was good, each song played, put me in the mood
-It was pretty funny
-the schools scenes, even though they were done unclear and repeated issue so many times trying to make it clear but made it worst, it still showed that bullying can drive people to the edge on whatever reason.
-Showed how much the public can to ruin ones future, and fans do betray their idols on if they find someone they love. And also an agency would manipulate their idols for money.
Other than that, it was really confusing I didn't like many of the back up actors because they didn't do a good, and there were many pointless scenes on talking that confused me even more. And it took to long to get to the point. ALSO Ri An why was everyone acting like nothing happened when she was like the DEVIL aishhhhhhhhhh >_> she was the most annoying.

While there are parts I really enjoyed, equal parts frustrated me and then rest just plain bored me.
I really enjoyed the first Dream High so obviously my expectations were high for this second season but, somehow I was left unsatisfied.
I liked the cast, they were nice but did not hit me in the heart as the ones in the first version did. Once the heart is half in half out, it’s difficult to care and makes for a less enjoyable experience.
I am sure many will enjoy it, I’m 50/50 on this one.
Love Kang So Ra and Jung Ji Woon though ?

Dream High Season 2 Strikes a Chord with Some Hits and Misses
Dream High Season 2, while not reaching the heights of its predecessor, still offers an enjoyable and entertaining experience with its youthful energy, talented cast, and musical numbers. The series follows a new group of students at Kirin Art High School as they chase their dreams of becoming idols. The performances by the young cast, including Kang Sora, Jung Jin-woon, and Park Ji-yeon, showcase their talents and dedication. The musical sequences, though not as impactful as in the first season, still provide catchy tunes and energetic choreography. However, the storyline lacks the depth and cohesion of the original, with some subplots feeling underdeveloped and certain character arcs falling short. Nevertheless, with a rating of 7/10, Dream High Season 2 offers an enjoyable watch for fans of youth-oriented dramas and K-pop culture, providing moments of inspiration and entertainment. Was this review helpful to you?
The cast is good i'll say that, but the main characters are a miss, I love JB (If i'm completely honest i started this series with the sole purpose of watching JB) but his character at first was such an asshole i didn't even want to continue, but as time progressed throughout the series you grow some empathy for him.
Hae Seong on the other hand, i find completely irritating as a character, which is weird cause you'd think i'd want the popular guy to end up with the ordinary girl but apparently not! honestly, while all the other characters improved and developed in some way during the series, Hae Seong just, was her usual self-pitying, trouble causing self. I couldn't bare watch JB and Hae Seong together, it might've been the way they were chosen to act but honestly that couple was a miss...
On the other hand I totally despised RiAn at first, i'm guessing many people did at first but her character pushed through. I in some way would understand why she acts the way she does i mean, JB was her young friend, comfort and boyfriend during their training days and supported each other during their hardships, but when an incident happened causing JB to break up with her and wanting to focus on his carer, she was supportive, but then being moved to a school, JB is suddenly throwing away all his hard work for an ordinary girl... I don't blame her I would probably act the same way as RiAn too.
In regards to the other cast Jin Yu Jin is a favourite character and always will be, In every drama there is always a side couple that everyone enjoys, and for me this drama's side couple didn't disappoint, I liked them more than the main couple actually! Lee Seul and Jr. really suit each other well, and aren't irritating to watch!
I'll admit the music here was great! i enjoyed the 'B song' and 'When i can't sing'. Watching a preforming arts based drama you'd expect good music and i wasn't disappointed.
Overall a 6.5-7/10! It's a drama that really caters to k-pop fans... If you're looking for a really amazing story this probably isn't the right drama. Lastly all i have to say is, G MINOOOOOOOOR

Acting/Cast: I think they did okay with what they were given.
Music: While I liked a lot of the music throughout the show, I scored it lower because, like the story, it was focusing too much on the main 4 characters. There was a cast of skilled people on this show, but when it was time to perform solo, as duets, or as groups, everybody else usually got pushed aside and you never got to see them. If you did get to hear them sing, the camera usually still ignored them.
Rewatch Value: I don't usually rewatch dramas.
Overall: In the end, it didn't rate high on my list of dramas. If they had focused more on the actual performing aspects of a show about performers, instead of the complicated love square of the main people, it would've been deserving of a higher overall score.

i think for the first time acting skills of JB,Jin and si woo they did a brilliant job. i could feel their emotions through the acting.
i gave a 10 out of 10 for the music because i dont really pay much attention to the OST alot of the time but i had to give it some sort of rating. :)
the reason i gave the rewatch value a 5 is only because i dont like to rewatch anything. :P
overall i would have rated the show 10 out of 10 however because i wasn't satisfied with the ending in dropped down to 9. there wasn't really any kind of closure, but i can say it had a better closure than the first dream high.
