Acting/cast - The casting was good. The most developed characters would be Rian and Jin Yoo Jin. Rian is an amazing actor.
I was anticipating Kang So Ra to suddenly surprise everyone (maybe a little dramatic haha) - A big let down. Her acting wasn't unbearable/too bad, but her character was nothing outstanding and I found myself forgetting about her (even though she has enough screen time for a main) till the very end.
Music - This drama is good primarily for the music. All the songs that were used are amazing and catchy. I would definitely recommend if you are going to watch for the music and dancing. There are some amazing vocals in this drama.
Overall - It was a decent school drama. The plot was the only thing really bringing the quality down, but the music makes up for that.

The storyline was equal, I love the addition of ready-made Idols, because it made them seem more relatable and nice. I also liked that it wasn't just about the underdogs. The love-triangle that features throughout the series was one of the best I've seen so far mainly because it wasn't just about attraction it was about friendship and compainionship. There was also a lot of funny moments that help the story move along without it getting too depressing.
The acting was reasonable, I think that some of the actors were better than dream high 1 but some were worse. Overall not too shabby. And JYP was as funny as ever!
Music was just as brilliant as the first dream high, a nice mix of pop and sad songs that fit the moods perfectly. I paticullay enjoyed the cover of the grease song sumerloving.
Overall I think if you liked dream high you'll like dream high 2. Definaitly worth watching!

Think about Seul and her father and how she changed over the course of time.
This drama was a lot about friendship and reaching your dream. The main character had flaws, because if she was perfect that would be boring. No, she cannot sing, but Hye Mi could not act, so what's all the complaining about? In the end she fond something that she's good at and decided to reach her dream. The end was kind of massed up. A lot of the things didn't make seance, and I was wondering why was the director thinking when it ended this way.
Acting: it was just fine, not all perfect but it was well done. I don't see why JB is called such a bad actor? I think he did just a fine job being a cold jerk or sweet heart. Park Ji Yeon did an wonderful job bing a bitch and a bad actress. I liked the cast, don't see any problems.
Music: it was was great. I have most of of the songs on my phone now. The stage performances were were as almost good as DH1.
Rewatch Value: personally, I don't like to rematch things, cuz it's the waste of time for me. But I would rematch it SOME day.
I wish it could stop with all the hate, it was an enjoyable drama. Great characters, music and nit bad of a story line. Focus in the things that were good not just compare it to DH1!! U recommend it the fans of DH1. Because truthfully, I was scared to watch it because of the bad rep. However, I'm happy I did and anybody who wants to see it, SEE IT. It's not as bad as the haters make it to be.

To start out, I really enjoyed the first few episodes. I would start to lose interest, and the writers would lure me back in with love triangle(s) and the like. However, I have some real bones to pick...
I feel like this drama was about 4 episodes too long. The plot line started to get really diluted, and I couldn't even keep track of what was happening. Early in the drama, it was obvious that there were 4 main characters. I wish that they wouldn't have wasted the viewers time with the others (I realize this won't be a popular opinion). Frankly, I didn't care for the secondary cast (especially the teachers--minus the guidance counselor). In saying this, I just wanted the 4 mains to be fleshed out more. I wanted to know more about Lian and JB.
I didn't know who to root for concerning the JB-HyeSung-YooJin triangle. I could see Lian's frustration. Yeah, Lian was a nasty jerk-- But at least she wasn't annoying. I thought JB and HyeSung were cute, but then I felt bad for YooJin. I don't know, I just feel as though I'm ranting.
I just felt that certain story lines were really muted. The ending felt really rushed, and didn't make a lot of sense. I stuck with this drama because every time I felt like dropping it, they would give me a little ray of hope. I'm very confused by the ending. And disappointed.
:P

First? Cast and characterization. The characterization were poor. I, myself even got confused who's the main character here. I thought it was Hae Seung, but then Rian. And most of the time the characters are played poorly.
Second? Story line. Okay, there's no story line here. The story was about idols VS untalented people. But in the middle it all changed into: fans and idol love story. Seriously, it was like to much romance then the 'achieving dreams' thingy.
Actually, there's a lot more. But, it still worth watching.. But I recommend you DH1 more then this

Scam High
Season 1: The drama started off mostly alright for the first 3 episodes or so, but once they confined everything into the school settings, problems started to seep from every corner. Imagine all of the school related tired tropes and cliches amplified by cringe to create the cheesiest abomination. Jason as a character, actor, story and writing was easily the worst aspect of this drama. Which created one of the worst memorable dynamics with his love interest. From the outset, the plot followed a predictable trajectory but things got a lot worse around the last 1/3 of its run. During which the story became static, the characters fell apart and the drama started to shove empty scenes of side characters. They reduced Sam Dong screen time significantly as well. They also isolated Pil Sook and Jason despite being main characters and had little to no interactions with others later on. All of this led to a below average last episode and a lukewarm ending. Despite its flaws and problems, somehow it worked, to a certain degree. In comparison, season 2 was an obvious downgrade in all regards, it's just plain worse. The empty scenes I mentioned earlier turned into amateurish random musical performances here. I noticed they were mostly using Korean songs in this season, compared to season 1 which had more western/global songs. In season 2, no one had any chemistry with anyone, all pairings were as incompatible and dry as they could get. It also had the same ending as season 1. I think the cast also had more idols than actors? Anyway, changing the directors and writers made its sequel DOA.

Surprisingly it wasn't that bad
Well, for a long time I was intentionally ignoring this title. I watched the first Dream High some years ago and started Dream High 2, but dropped in the middle of the first episode.Recently, after rewatching Dream High, Shut Up and watching MonStar, I decided to give this drama the second chance. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad in the end.
The story is just OK, but the acting of male leads makes this show worth to watch. It's even better in some cases than in Dream High. I also enjoyed to watch Na Na' interactions with her "love triangle". It's fun.
I can't describe this drama as "must watch", obviously, but if you're looking for an OK in general Korean show with nice acting and dancing, and you could stand a lot of cliches — give it a try.

I don’t regret finishing it
The first episodes were so boring, nonsense and childish that made me drop DH2 many times. The story began being so interesting since episode 7 and I started understanding better the feelings of each character. I think the biggest change from our main character, matured, knowing what to do with her life, with a spark of light in her life was one of the biggest improvement in the series. Also, the role of the teachers were way better and no nonsense as the first characters. I saw DH2 after dropping it for 3/4 times since 2012. Now I can say I don’t regret watching it :)

Acting : This drama is full of IDOLS. much more than the first season. And i don't know why someone like hyorin and ailee participate in this drama when they already know how small is their screen times....
the reason i started watching this drama is Jiyeon (since i'm a fan of T-ARA).
but then i watched how Jinwoon acts. He's totally suitable for the leading character! Too bad i can't find any of his other good dramas other than Dream High 2.
Now JB. when i first found out JYP picked him to play this important role, i was like why are you doing this. i know you want to promote your future idols, but do you really have to pick someone who isn't debuted yet? AND PARDON YOU, it's not just like some random roles which pops up and disappear without a trace. But honestly, after finishing this drama, i found myself longing to watch more of him...
And last, the leading actress (which i think is the worst of 4), aka King Sora. This is the first drama of her that i watch. I'm not sure whether she's usually that exaggerating or it's because of the script. But i can't help but find her annoying. Especially whenever she acted like a victim (her lips uh, can she just keep it closed?).
