I really love this drama, I have already watched it a few times and i'm going to watch it again soon. Most people look at this drama as just a comedy, Romance, Even horror etc but not many people see the deep beautiful meaning that it gives, To love yourself, That we all have our own complexes like getting fat, Ugly, Big nose, Bad skin etc, Some people overcome them but not everyone, There is alot of people like sunako that is consumed by their complex causing that person to hate themselves and the message i got from this drama was simply to love yourself, How can you love someone if you can't love yourself first? And Kyohei showed us that having good looks is not as great as it seems, That it really is the inside that matters, I won't ever forget what Kyohei said to sunako at the begining, "You should worry more about your insides becoming uglier than your outsides" I think there is many many people that could learn a few things from this drama. I really loved that part of the story and i loved that sunako & Kyohei learned alot by loving each other, It helped them with their complexes. I also think the cast was good, They played the characters well and there was not much music in it but it was okay. I definitely recommend watching this, It may appear to be a unrealistic and silly drama at forst but if you watch it and see the hidden meanings in to than you'll see it's actually really special and unique, I believe it's a drama you won't regret watching and you may even learn some new things about life and what it means to love someone for who they are and not what they appear to be.
So watch it!

Top of my drama list for a reason!!!
I had neither seen the anime or read the manga, therefore had to idea what to expect when I watched this. However after just two episodes I was hooked and it fast became one of thoses shows where you just have to watch the next episode no matter how late at night (or early in the moring) it is.
The great acting, music and script make it a must watch and since buying the DVD have found it is one of those rare masterpieces that you always end-up going back to, to rewatch when there is nothing on and never get tired of it!

I really liked this I've seen the anime and this I liked better in some ways. I was also happy Sunako doesn't become a chibi in this, thank god. There was also more of the romance aspect to the live action. I really didn't think the guys were as cute as any of them should have been but I still loved Kyohei and Sunako, so cute! It has B grade effects but that was very easy for me to over look as most anime turned live action tend to to lack in the graphics department anyway. I will buy the series if I can every find it in region 1 dvd. The ending was good but I could have done without the last 10 seconds but it was good and better then the anime ending as far as I'm concerned. It's a fun, light hearted, romantic, comedy I've watched several times now.

Story is very outstanding. I find the character, Sunako, as unique the way she is obsessed with all the horror and skulls. The drama caught my attention since the beginning of the first episode, and I thought the plot was interesting. There were sad moments and I almost cried. The acting was very well performed and I was so in to it. I would definitely rewatch it.

The music is the best. I really love the opening when everyone is dancing. LOL

Being a long time fan of this manga I was hoping for the best, and this drama definitely delivered! This was my first Kazuya Kamenashi drama, and my second drama that I watched. This is the drama that made me fall in love with Kame, and then find out about KAT-TUN. Even more so this is my favorite manga, and I really love the real life adaptation of the story. I think the casting was perfect! They all acted like their original characters. The only major change in the story was the addtion of Takeru, but he is too cute, and also the bar tender that always gives Kyouhei advice.

The story is really good, and there is a great message to be learned throughout all of the silliness in the drama. I cried a lot with Kyouhei and his relationship with his mom, and also Sunako and Kyouhei's relationship advances faster in the drama then is has in the manga. This drama is on the must watch list!

I dropped this drama around two years ago but after reading the manga and anime, I got around to finishing it. From what my memory served, I thought this drama was much better than I remembered. It has a funny storyline and a few good laughs each episode too- until midway. As soon as you reach the 6th or 7th episode you will feel tired. The storyline from then on gets repetitive and dragged.

What saves this drama from being unwatchable is its lovely cast. Oh my Kamenashi Kazuya! He is handsome, charming and has the power to suck you in. The bad boy image suits him really well and you can't help but fall for him. I loved this on-screen version of Kyohei than in anime. Sunako however falls short. Although initially funny there hardly seems to be much redeemable in her. However I like the rest of its cast- Takeru, the aunt and everyone else.

The drama isn't completely good or bad. It has its moments. While I find parts of it to my liking a few of them gave me a headache. The unnecessary melodrama in the later half and the ending were what ruined the drama. The ending was so corny that it was more LOL than anything. I find this a fizzle because Kazuya-kun and Aya-chan had such good chemistry. Plus Aya is such a beautiful actress.

In the end the drama is forgettable to me. I am struggling to remember the parts I enjoyed in it because while I might have enjoyed, it didn't leave a mark on me. I wish the nosebleeds had been included in the drama since they included so many things anyway (I am a fan of nosebleeds).

Recommended to fans of the cast, the anime or manga. The rest can skip out on it.

When I first started to watch it, I was, I'll admit a little disappointed by the first one or two episodes. But I kept on watching and soon fell in love. The acting was superb. The story was wonderful. Sunako was easy to relate to and the side stories for each of the guys was really cool too. Overall I think it's really worth watching and if at first, like me, you find it not worth it just stick with it. I'm sure you'll end up loving it as much as I do.

I read the manga that the story line for this drama is based on about 6 years ago. I immediately connected with Sunako, since like her, I was picked on a lot in high school.

Going into the drama I was a little hesitant, since the manga had such strong characterization of Sunako's fear of the "bright" people. I thought that the acting was phenomenal and truly paid homage to the manga.

Also I was impressed with the time that the drama was able to give to all of the guys she lives with. I was worried that they were going to focus on Kyohei primarily, but they managed to really define and dimensionalize the other three guys.

Overall a really great drama, whether you were a fan of the manga, or just picked on in high school. The message of strength isn't constantly rubbed in your face, but it is omnipresent and leaves the viewer motivated to find their own, unique inner strength.

Daz….zling!!!

This drama truly is a diamond in the rough! Although not perfect, this manga style drama has an original story that will have you smiling, laughing, and just plain addicted. I’ll admit I was hesitant about starting this drama and have shelved it in my “plan to watch” for a long time, despite being huge fan of Jdramas and reverse harems. However, while in the midst of waiting for new episodes of other airing dramas, I decided to dive into this one and it was WAY better than I could have ever imagined.

First of all, the story is very unique and interesting while still containing many of the aspects and cliques that we all love about dramas!! The soundtrack is catchy, the acting is extreme, which adds such an amazing comedic aspect, and the pacing is perfection. The show had lots of interesting twists and supernatural aspects thrown in that you can never predict what the next episode will hold. It was fantastic. I ended up binge watching the whole drama is just one day. I could not get enough!!

If you are in need of a new drama with humor, romance, and a unique story line, definitely give this one a try. Happy Drama Watching :)!

This is just as good as the anime, and manga. I am so happy This exsists. If you've seen the anime or read the manga, you know how the story goes. But don't let the fact that this is a live action discourage you! Please check this out I promise you wont be dissapointed :)

The reason I gave this drama a perfect 10 out of 10 is because this truly is one of the best dramas I have ever seen. Never in my life have a seen a live action done so perfectly, I dont even feel like its just a drama. While watching this, don't be surprised if you occasionally shed a tear, wheather it be from saddness or full on laughter. The acting in the drama is done so well it feels as if you are actually there, like its not even scripted. (Except for the intense humor. I doubt such funny things could happen in real life xD) I hope you do find the show as entertaining and heartwarming as I did :)

Being a fan of the anime and the manga, I was looking forward to watching this drama. and surprisingly as I often am, I was not disappointed. I felt that the actors played the characters exceptionally well. Some people would say that the main couple were too ackward but I disagree it's suppose to be like this. Sunako doesn't know how to handle romantic relationships especially with someone so "Bright" I was impressed with Oomasa Aya acting capabilities when it came to playing her. I was also impressed by Kamenashi Kazuya he tooked his character in a different direction then I was expecting him too.
The one thing I can say I was disappointed in was the fact that Oda and Noi's relationship wasn't showned much in this version. Especially since Noi and Sunako become very close friends in the manga.
But other then that I loved this drama. I recommend people to watch this. they won't be disappointed.
Happy Watching Everyone! :)

Watched the anime and the manga... I can\''t wait for the upcoming chapters of Perfect Girl Evolution. The only thing that I felt the anime was lacking was the romance aspect between Kyohei and Sunako. I really enjoyed the drama and I was not dissapointed. You should give Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge a try. :)
