Despite its silly actions, "not-so-horror scenes" and childish problems, this drama has outstanding humor and exquisite point of view. Kyohei and Sunako are so much alike. Although Kyohei hated himself because girls fell in love with him for his looks only and Sunako hated herself because her first love told her she is ugly, both characters wanted people to look at their hearts. This silly drama has demonstrated a HUGE worldwide problem. Even though our wronged opinions are based on people’s appearances, we are striving to find someone to accept who we are and our true nature. The second point of view that this drama shed a light on is, if you want to be loved, try to become the person you love and try to love yourself. I don’t mean you become cocky by the way, but try to see that you are special or else why would you be born?. By the way, this drama isn’t ment to be serious as it is adapted from a manga, thus don’t expect the actors or even the problems to be serious

Okay this was probably the best drama i have seen so far! Definitely a must-watch for all drama viewers! The story was excellent; personally, I didn't find any faults in it. The cast was well chosen out as well, but there were some side characters that didn't make their roles very believable, but nothing major. The music was awesome especially the theme song. As for the re-watch value, I feel as though this could be the perfect show to watch in your spare time when you don't have anything you new to watch.

This show not only made me laugh out loud uncontrollably but also made me cry at the heartwarming parts. This show is mainly comedy but also has some romance in it. But if you're hoping for them to be in a relationship before the last few episodes, don't get your hopes up. It also has some episodes with some mystery but not a whole lot. Anyways I really recommend this drama. You won't be disappointed!

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a drama with not a lot of sticking power. That does not mean I didn’t like it. It has some really good episodes but overall it didn’t leave me with that joyful feeling of watching something great. It didn’t leave me feeling a little sad it was over.

The writing was uneven. There was a fun supernatural element along with the premise of 4 flower boys living in a mansion and charged with turning a goth girl into a lady. The friendships were portrayed nicely and the love story was cute. Some episodes were good. But some were just bad. The last one left me cold, with a twist I did not like.

The acting was uneven. Some gave pretty good performances. Kamenashi Kazua was a standout. But he’s been pretty good in the three dramas I have seen. Oomasa Aya was good as the girl who loves blood and skulls and death. The others were a little choppy but I got passed it because I liked the friendship between the four boys.

I think I have seen too many really stellar dramas to fall in love with this one. But having mentioned the negative things let me mention a few things that I liked: I loved the relationship development between Kyohei and Sunako. They truly had some very funny moments together and some very touching and cute ones as well. I liked how fast he came to accept her even if he took a long time to sort out his feelings. Sunako truly had some fun/funny personality quirks. The dynamic of friendships in the house between everyone was enjoyable and kept me watching until the end. I loved that house! I want it!

The music was forgettable except for one little detail: The bar/café they frequent has a very fun detail, almost easter egg to watch for. I’m not going to spoil it here but watch closely. Once you figure it out…It’s very fun to keep your eye out for.

The rewatch value is low for me. I probably won’t watch this again.
This is a cute drama…it has it’s value and it’s place. If you like supernatural elements in dramas and a cute love story, this is one drama you may like.

I LOVED it. I rewatch it when ever I need a laugh and AHHH moment LOL. Watch it, you won't regret it. Takeru is absolutely adorable and the supporting cast really make this show outstanding. Although there are some sad parts they aren't overwhemling like in some of the Korean dramas. I also love that there is a conclusion...I hate getting to the end of a drama and they leave you hanging or guessing as to what happens next, not this drama there is a deffinite conclusion.

The most quotable drama so far. So, the landlady tells her four hot tenants to turn her niece into a lady and, in exchange, she would let them stay at the boarding house for free. Kyohei, who has had a troubled and violent life and just lost his job due to his drop-dead georgeous looks, jumps at the opportunity.
Enter Sunako - Her bangs reach her mouth, she wears a cloak, sleeps in a coffin, has a science lab mannequin as her best friend, shrieks with joy at the sight of skulls, blood and medieval killing weapons, and whenever she makes eye contact with a person shouts "Briiiiight" and bangs her head over them (mostly Kyohei though).
I love the ending of every episode where Kyohei goes all "ugly Sunako Ugly Sunako Ugly Sunako Ugly Sunako" which makes her enraged and they always end up in a physical fight! :D And I'm glad that, unlike a typical drama, the lead girl didn't have a complete makeover and changed her personality all together. Instead Kyohei fell in love with the Horror girl itself (: And, that the other guys did not fall in love with her. Instead they helped Kyohei realize his feelings.

"What is a Lady? When a woman falls in love with the best man in the world, she becomes a lady."
-Sunako's aunt aka the landlady

As I'm ending this...I really didn't know how to rank this drama. I REALLY enjoyed it. It has all the typical story, but isn't typical at all. It is unusual with a message to love yourself. Everyone has a complex and the trick is to work through it and move forward instead of letting things hold you back. I don't usually like over the top acting, but this was too cute. I totally love "goth/horror" girl. I guess her story was about how you should be careful what you say to people because words hurt. There will be at least one character's story that a person can relate to.

I don't even know what to say about the acting. It is over the top, but it is obvious that it is suppose to be. Oomasa Aya is gorgeous...it is kind of funny that her character, Sunako was put down because of looks. I wonder what her voice really sounds like, because it seemed exaggerated. Kamenashi Kazuya's character, Kyohei had just the opposite problem. He is really cute and his acting was the best out of all of them. I liked the other actors too. The little boy is adorable. The guy in the cafe always wears great t-shirts...if you watch this, then you should totally make sure to pay attention to that. :-)

The music is good.

I would probably rewatch this at some point.

I recommend that everyone watch this for the romance, bromance, and deep meaning wrapped in a silly, fun package.

This drama is amazing. From the gorgeous story line to the gorgeous actors, this drama is a must watch. I'm in love with the theme song. Its really cool. I fell in love with the boys write away. They all had their own charismatic charm that instantly drew me in. All I can say without giving away too much is that this drama is a must watch.

At first, I was reluctant in watching this series because basically I watch only shows whom I know some or even one of the characters, or was recommended for me to watch by someone i know. And this one, I just watched it because this is the Top 2 series in Dramacrazy.net. At the beginning I wasn't that much attached to it, sometimes it took me 2 or 3 days before I continue to watch it. I'm not sure from which part, maybe on the middle part of the series, I got so much into it that I can't help but to watch continuously. The acting is good, I could say they portrayed their characters well. They were consistent. With the story, I don't know the manga version of this but this one has a great plotting. I just don't like the music, especially when the feeling has to be, you know, in love of some sort, the music became upbeat so instead of enjoying that part, I was disturbed. But over all, I certainly like this series and definitely, I recommend this to my friends. =)

I watched this drama on a whim, mostly because I tried watching the anime version of the show and could never get past the second episode. The drama is significantly better.

In all honesty, I liked this show. I thought it was hilarious at points and heart breaking at others. The arguments and situations were sometimes so far fetched it was hard not to laugh. I liked the slapstick and more nuanced, subtle humor as well. The thing I liked about this drama was that it seemed like a parody of itself. The show was unabashedly cliche and was able to derive humor from all of those cliches.

Ultimately, I wish there were more episodes that showed more depth in the other characters. The problem with some Japanese dramas is that they seem like a summary look into a character. This drama is not much different.

The other thing was the lack of creativity in dramatic events. It's like two things happened in the first two episodes, and then the rest of the show was on repeat.

Overall though, a fun drama with some awesomely funny and ridiculous scenes.

I watched this drama after having seen the anime. I really admired the anime for being humorous and a bit different to others in the vibe it gave off.

The drama cannot say the same. It's not that I expected a lot from the drama, and it also isn't that it was awful. It was pretty, systematic and easy to follow. The production was of a good quality and some of the scenes featured some seriously nice use of eye-candy.

My problem with this comes primarily from the fact that it was not at all memorable. It didn't make me think, but more than that, it didn't make me feel. I never felt the relationship between the leads (although occasionally the other boys had bonding type moments).

This was the first anime with Kazuya Kamenashi in it, and I have to say, every other drama of his I have ever seen has been better than this, at least for his part. I felt his portrayal of the lead character was more wooden than a tree, which led me to believe he could not act. I have since watched other things that lead me to believe this is not the case, which makes me wonder if a poor script/storyboard was to blame.

Anyway, as mentioned, I don't dislike this drama, it's just that I got nothing from it aside from an awesomely hilarious opening song and prettiness. And honestly, what's not to love about a bit of prettiness?

Don't know anything about the anime/manga but I was able to enjoy this drama. I specifically like the concept of the drama about physical appearances and how the main leads portrayed their roles and the way they compliment each other. Kamenashi Kazuya is the stand out here but I also commend the girl who acted Sunako. The music is just perfect especially the theme song 'Love Yourself' by KAT-TUN. It may not give a lasting impression but it sure is one of the enjoyable dramas for me that I was able to finish fast and didn't get bored. I was able to discover KAT-TUN through this drama. It is an inspiring romantic comedy that gives you time to reflect to 'what's really inside you'. I love how the two main leads compliments each other. They're 'perfect'
