I think that when "On the Way to the Airport" was showing, its competitor drama was this, My Wife is having an affair this week...You know how korean dramas have a trend or a theme at a certain time (like time travel or robots or aliens)...
Anyway, they both have the same theme in a way,..Cheating or looking for other options of already married people...But it was kind of from a different angle for both dramas. In OTWTTA, it was from the angle of the "cheating" spouses itself. In MWIHAATW, it was from the angle of the husband who was faithful and cheated on and the wife that cheated's reasons...but a big point is, the endings were opposite of each other. I don't wanna spoil, but one of them, the original spouses forgave and got back, on the other drama, the "cheating" couple got together. At that time, I watched MWIHAATW, instead of OTWTTA, I mean, just got to pick one "cheating" drama at that time. I was still on my "cutesy" drama phase.

With a sprinkling of humour, "My Wife's Having an Affair this Week" also depicts how a wife - although loved by her spouse - deals with feeling over-worked and under-appreciated. Instead of mental illness or depression, the eponymous wife copes thanks to the comforting arms of a rich, handsome businessman.
This story is told almost exclusively from the viewpoint of the husband. As such the failure of the institutions of marriage, motherhood, & society to support women more generally are implicit rather than explicit.

The vibe of the two shows is very similar. Both are based on the intricacies of husband wife relation and trust. the husband in both realises the difficult lives wives lead, and ponder over who is responsible for the loss of love between couples. The husband faces dilemma in both over what it means to love one's wife, what it means to have an affair and how to live and move on with a new uncomfortable reality. The two shows are packaged as comedies but are really a slice of life dramas.
One Warm Word is one of the best dramas that narrates formation of a love affair and its role in devastating the couples' lives.
Both represent a love affair with similar structural theme.
One Warm Word simply illustrates a love affair understandable for all viewers. The storyline is simple but very logical and amusing and instructional. Both benefit form best actresses who fabulously and strongly play their roles.
Both are highly recommended.

They are VERY different in terms of tone - Happy End is much darker than My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week, but the basic plot of the story is the same - a wife is unhappy with her husband and cheats on him. Happy End focuses more on the emasculation element of being cheated on, whereas My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week is more about relationships and what causes people to cheat.
I think they are similar In a way . couples who have issues like divorce, affairs, fights ,marriage, kids and many real stuff, how they are dealing with them. How they are trying to save their relationship. How they should move on . Well i enjoyed both. They were refreshing and funny. Hope you like them :)
