Reviews
This was the sweetest story I had seen about cats. Also.. tissues.
Story:
Really amazing the way story unfolds and has a way of completing itself. I found myself wondering a few things but just the ending was really well done. Some things annoyed me in the sense that they are sad and I don't want it to be sad, but every great story needs a tragic catalyst to set things in motion. See what I did there haha.
Characters: All the characters are very memorable, dealing with their own things and occasionally bumping into each other. The true main characters are the cats and how they affect the lives of their owner.
Overall: This story reels your heart in, stabs it and then sews it back together with spun sugar. A sweet film about cats, and comic artists in Japan.

One thing I have to say is that this is the first movie where I felt most sorry for the main character but for his pet. Actually, the main character was pretty much my least favorite part. While I understand that he was in a difficult situation I felt him to be kind of unlikable. What especially infuriated me was the preferential treatment he gave to one of the cats while the other cat was kind of just there until almost all the way to the end. Also, his inability to understand "Cats ≠ Humans" made him look just plain stupid. The cats were cute though xD
The conclusion of the movie was nice, although they certainly could have done more with it, but it's definitely not a movie I will re-watch or recommend any time soon.
