Kento Yamazaki's acting was phenomenal. I couldn't ask any other actor to play Saiki. I felt like I was looking at the exact Saiki from the anime. His blank expressions and random commentary were perfect. It was hard to believe I was watching Kento act such a bizarre character. Especially since he's been in a lot of romcoms. He played the part very well and I applaud him. For the other cast, they all portrayed the goofy characters soo well, especially Arai Hirofumi. Arai portrayed Nendo's stupidity perfectly. Once again I felt like I was watching the anime. All the cast members did a splendid job of truly becoming their character. I'm so proud of them and excited to watch again.
Overall, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K was amazing. I wish they can make another movie(or a drama, that would be amazing). If you just watched the movie only, I suggest you find the anime or the manga (they're both amazing). You'll fall in love and laugh till your heart's content. This is one movie you have to see if you want to laugh a lot.

super fun!
I love Saiki k and having read the manga and watched the anime this was a surprisingly good live action. I really enjoyed watching and it got the whole Saiki k vibes spot on. Kento Yamazaki was such a good actor!! He got saikis expressions and mannerisms spot on and I loved the story line too. Of course it wasn't the exact same as the anime it still was enjoyable. It has the same levels of crazy from the anime and its so over the top and unrealistic so if you are not used to that you might not like it. Its super lighthearted and a great laugh. Would 100% watch again.

Story: I watched because I'm attached to the anime and the characters. Oryo being in it is just a bonus (and somehow I see myself watching more Yamazaki Kento movies). But since it's a gag LA adaptation of a gag anime, we shouldn't expect much and things aren't supposed to make sense. Also apparently it's the same director as the Gintama movies, and somehow you can notice the likeness in scenes and pacing. For me though it would be better if there were less moments about Hairo--just my biasedness talking here--and the pacing were kind of dull at times. I did find Oryo moments funny though.
Overall: It's OK, I don't find myself re-watching it at all. Once you've seen the joke one time, that's it. Though I don't think I've wasted my time watching it, it's a great eye-candy movie, so thank you for the great casting.
