I have watched this 4 times now and each time I watch it, I would hope for it to continue. William Chan is amazing at playing Yuan Ling. WC put his ALL into this character. Cecilia Liu was also amazing. I would love to see more of her acting abilities. The many episodes it has, kept me focused to watch all of it. The Visual effects were perfect, especially the butterflies. The visual actions of the martial arts with sword fighting were phenomenal. I would love to see more of this type of Fantasy, Romance, and Drama. The Romance part between the two main characters had great chemistry. I love the hair braid crowns of the Mages! Kudos to whoever designed them. I want to thank the Writers for a great Drama Series Rao Jun, Han Peizhen, Shi Siye, Chen Wenjuan Dong XinruI also want to thank the producer Lin Yufen, Liang Shengquan, Yu Cuihua, and Ren Haitao. Thanking style director William Chang, costume designer Fang Sizhe, and artistic director Chen Haozh including the visual effects team, music, and the rest of the cast. What a great drama series! Loved It!

What I did hate: In episode 52 when Ling was leaving and what's her face hugged him and he just stood there. For a minute I felt that Ling fell in love with this fake wife. I was being jealous of Ging Chen. (this is me taking the story as if it was real, this how good this movie was, you actually believed the characters).

+1 Good Cast (When this first started... I LITERALLY couldn't tell the difference between the main two male leads. It took me more than a few episodes to be able to tell the difference since it was my first time watching these two male leads)

+1 Male Lead (Both were extremely handsome in their own way. At first I wasn't too fond of the first male lead because I didn't think he looked that great so I hesitated watching this drama. But I realized that after watching 10 Miles of Peach Blossoms, I fell in love with the male lead even though I didn't think much of him at first. So I gave this dude a shot and I was impressed. He's such a good looking man. <3)

+1 Story Line (Great story line in general but the production didn't follow through all the way, it lagged/dragged and discredited the storyline)

+1 Male Clothing Set (I feel like the male clothing in this drama stood out more because most of the main characters were Prince's, the clothing line was amazing. It brought out the masculinity, royalty and eloquence of the characters. I was quite disappointed with the female lead's clothing line for the most part. She had maybe one outfit that I remember liking and then she had this one outfit that I was absolutely not fond of at all)

+1 Romance Action (romance action wasn't really consistent throughout the drama but when there were romance action, it was definitely bubbly in my heart. <3)

+1 Music (the music didn't stand out a lot but it was good enough to keep me going, at least it wasn't horrible)

+1 Set/Scenes

+1 Brother and Father & Son Relationships (The last scene between the two male leads really throbbed my heart. Love the relationships between the brothers and then the fathers relationships with all his sons were complex and interesting)

-1 Poor Action (I was expecting more action since the topic was about war and sorcery but I was left disappointed. The action was poorly done as well, I had expectations since the clothing line for fighting was amazing but again, I was left disappointed. There was maybe very few scenes that caught my attention but no, if I include the sorcery action, it was terrible)
-1 Unnecessary Characters (I have to be honest, there were some character where I just thought "This person has little to no point in this drama or were pointless useless or gone the entire time, why do they even exist in here?
-1 Story lagged... seriously. I don't think the story needed to be 50+ episode long. It would have been just fine with 30-40 ep max and then it would have been a great drama that got to the point.

A really enjoyable “Soap Opera”

Intriguing story, captivating characters and acting, but would have liked to see lots more moments of chemistry between the leading actors, fantastic moments but they just didn’t last.
FX / CG fight scenes was so COOL! Wanted more! I’d watch it again if it wasn’t so painfully slow. Lots of predictable and unnecessary scenes, but much like that of a good soap opera

Story:
10 - Nice take on time travel/timelines
7 - Execution of story - so SLOW
Acting/Cast:
10 - Cast
9 - characters/roles
8.5 - Chemistry
Music:
10 - gorgeous music!
5 - Not enough variety
7 - Good use of background music not distracting and sets mood
Rewatch Value
10 - CG/ FX battle scenes
4 - Unnecessary scenes

Lost Love in Times is a good fantasy romance set within a historical period of time. The drama is full of palace antics, magical fantasy; well choreograph actions scenes, smart leads, and good supporting actors. The title gives a hint as what to expect about the development of the romance as the leading couple struggles to remain strong while also sacrificing for one another in more than one lifetime. The cast did a good job of bringing their characters to life but the romantic scenes between the leads and supporting cast was insipid for the most part. The plot is well developed and the story flows nicely but, for a drama about love, the leading couple did not elicit enough awestruck moments. Still, the drama is a great watch if one is looking for a solid historical setting with engaging characters. Enjoy it!

Even after the 2nd Time, I Still Enjoy This!

I love this drama, the story line, the cast (of course), the chemistry, the costume and overall production of this drama. You can tell if they put a lot of budget and efforts for year 2017 it's above the average.

It's been quite sometime after I watched this drama, but I'd rewatched this for couple of times, and I still enjoy it every time. I like the fact on how Yuan Ling & Feng Qing falls in love at the first time, their story was sweet. But, I like it more when they met for the second time how they end up falling in love again.

From the beginning, I'm expecting that there'll be pretty much long misunderstanding but that doesn't stop YL & FQ showing off chemistry on screen and it's fun to watch. I also like how the relationship changed on the 2nd part between YL and his brothers.

It's an enjoyable drama to watch, and worth my time. And, of course William Chan is just really good here ;)

Where do I go from here????

LOVE!!! LOVE!!! LOVEEEEE!!!!

Story- Although the story isn't really new, it will still make you stay up late and would want to watch the next episode! There were scenes that's a little bit slow at the latter part but then again you still don't wanna miss every single one of them.

Actors- My first time watching both main leads in a drama. At first, I don't find the ML handsome at all, but after a few eps you will find that he's really charming and he's suited for the GOD OF WAR character in terms of built and demeanor. Also, his fight scenes are one of the best I've seen so far, badass and Godlike especially in ep. 52! dang!!!! I was clapping and screaming at the same time! wow! Also, just when I thought I've seen the most heartbreaking and passionate "Wo ai ni" in the cdrama world, here comes the SS tier scene (ep. 55)!!! The way he said it, it's poignant and yet so beautiful at the same time. The main villain's acting could've been better, aside from him I think all of them did really great especially the 2ML. My only complain is the kissing scenes, I mean.. c'mon now let's give a little more passion, it wouldn't hurt to at least open their mouth a little. lol

Music- I love the ost of this drama!

Rewatch value- yup definitely will rewatch while waiting for other drama in my waitlist to air.

Beautiful drama

This drama is for intelligent or mature people. It so has every element from romance to suspense and tragedy. Very interesting drama. You get hooked up till you finish. The costume is simply outstanding. You get to see all stupid hair dangling in front of female to look beautiful in other drama but here it’s just neat and tidy. I really don’t know why but it really annoys me to see characters with two strands of hair dangling on their face.
Lastly it’s master piece drama I’m surprised it’s rating is less compared to my expectation. Make lead and female leads are just outstanding and let’s not forget the secondary character they too had great role. The director got all character to shine and the acting performance is touched my heart. This drama is not light and fluffy it’s just outstanding . Once u start u end up doing nothing just keep watching till you turn into zombie. I had my sleepless night due to this drama . I never wrote review for 5 years and this is my first review. Took the effort to log in n sign in. Please watch it .

Sorcery with bad hair days and bad patterns

LLIT infused fantasy and sorcery elements with a fictional branch of the Western Wei Yuan dynasty.  Male characters are clad in voluminous, pattern-challenged costumes. The male and female characters wear overt head dress or braided hat hair.

Story:
A very creative plot about Time intervention, with some shortfalls.  The story could have been tighter, and effective with three dozen episodes.

Acting Cast:
The actors delivered solid acting performances.  William Chan and Cecilia Liu were the group leaders, but Zhang Ryan and Xu Jiawei walked away with the awards.  Zhang Ryan (Yuan Ming) receives the Wide Range of Acting Award, as the villain Prince.  Xu Jiawei (Yuan Li) receives the Congenial Character Award, as undercover Prince/Guardian of the Transformations.

Music:
The incidental music was  impressive, and facilitated the activity on screen.

Rewatch Value
I am not in a hurry to relive the drama, but I might attempt it for William Chan, Xu Jiawei (Yuan Li) and Gong Jun (Yuan Che) only.

Overall score 7.0 -  Good production values in directing, editing, acting, set design and cinematography!  Costume and hair designs were over the top, and a constant distraction. Writing was average.  The best surprise was the ending.  Overall, the episodes stretched Time. This drama should have started out the gate with eight weekly episodes, to keep the viewers' attention span.

Okay so the drama was a good drama I think the storyline was good but it doesn’t make sense.

This is a spoiler to the ending so stop if you don’t want to know.

The ending... I’m pretty sure the female and male lead was not supposed to be together. Although she collected the stones, that was for her and the stone watcher to be able to go back. They entered the portal and somehow the female lead ended up in the other universe with the male lead. And they go on. While the stone watchers loved forgot him when he went back as well. So everything was confusing, and it just doesn’t make sense. I might be a little negative towards the ending because It seems like I don’t want them to be together.

I also feel bad for the second male lead who ended up all by him up in the palace :’(. Don’t get me wrong this drama was good it made me cry but bad and unreasonable ending
